Hasbro's repainting habit really came through this time! A purple Shockwave and possibly my best chance at getting a Sunstorm!

Female Starscream's colour scheme also reminded me of G1 Darkwing, which essentially has two of the same colours as G2 Ramjet.

I pray for a Voyager TC as well. And a G1-colors Starscream, Thrust and Ramjet in Voyager size.

I think I'd be happy with Thrust and Ramjet in activaters size. Having them smaller wouldn't be so bad if there's 4 of them. as for femscream, I have no idea.

Though honestly, I don't really see Overlord in her deco at all, save for the teal shins and purple shoulders. Ah well... if that's what he said, that's what it is!

Now I don't feel so bad about not finding/buying Animated Shockwave (1st release).

For some reason, I'm not in love with Purplewave based on these pics. Odd.

Sunstorm, however, shall be mine! Just wish I didn't have to get a 2nd Activators Ratchet in the process. To those that don't have him yet, though: he's a good toy -- the best of the Activators so far, IMO.

Nice... very nice. I'm really digging the purple Shockwave repaint... too bad I've already got the regular Shockwave. Still, I guess I could display one as Longarm Prime and the other as Shockwave. Hmm... probably depend on when these are coming out as December, January and March are all pretty slammed with stuff to buy as is.

Sunstorm... oh yes... he will be mine. This is expected though as I don't see Hasbro turning down an exclusive/repaint goldmine.

I didn't like Animated Shockwave when I first saw it, and still really don't consider it that great. The purple one has totally changed my mind. It is the MUST HAVE figure for me for 2009. I've been a fan of shockwave since I was a young lad in the 80's reading the comic books and watching Shockwave decimate the Autobots and then Megatron.
Besides the G1 Shockwave (with it's weedy legs and lack of articulation), there hasn't been a good transforming Shockwave figure released. Shockblast was a mess, and Alternators was Meister with a different head and hand.

Until now.

This re-paint is the best decision Hasbro has made in ages, as far as repaints go and as far as repaints I'll buy.

Being an Animated completist, I'll still buy the first release and keep it as Longarm. The repaint will never see Longarm mode. EVER.

Sunstorm is sharp looking. It's another must have.

Even though I have both Activators, having extra ones means I can either kitbash them or give them to kids to enjoy.

Also, I wouldn't expect to see them until around March or April. It's be a good way of getting people stoked for the movie line, as well as letting the first edition Shockwave make its way around the market.

Wasn't too interested in Shockwave until this repaint. Awesome. Why did they have to make it a Target exclusive, though?

Personally speaking, I am actually a little surprised that they gave us a G1 deco of Shockwave. I hoped for one, but didn't necessarily expect it to happen...let alone be announced before the current version is even in stores. What a great surprise.

Not sure about Sunstorm. If the figure was old on its own, I'd probably get it.

More than anything, now that we're getting a purple Shocky, I'm hoping we'll still eventually get a repaint of Screamer's G1 colored clone... and maybe even Prowl in his old school colors.

I never thought I'd say this, but that Sunstorm repaint almost doesn't look completely terrible.

Pure 100% goodness covered with Awesomesauce. I can't wait for these, I'll buy both even if I have to sell a kidney to afford it all lol.

I'd love the G1-style clone colors, but seeing as he was only a one-time appearance seeker (like almost-Skywarp), he's probably not as high a priority with Hasbro.

That Sunstorm is awesome. I had ordered an Animated Shockwave the other day from HTS with their 25% off code (along with other things).. but I only wanted an extra to paint it purple, lol.

Needless to say, I called up Hasbro, had Shockwave removed from that order... and will anxiously await the release of this awesome purple repaint!!! I'll convert my original back to Longarm and place him on the autobot Elite guard shelf

Big difference between being spotted in a few locations vs. being readily available everywhere. Plus I'm in Canada... where we're still a wave or two behind the everyone else

It might not be high priority, but I'm sure it'll happen. They seem to throw out a G1 colored Screamer whenever possible, so I'm confident they'll do it via Animated since they know how many G1 fans pay attention to it... as indicated by this surprise repaint of Shockwave. Fingers crossed anyway.

I'm undecided on Shockwave, he looks a bit weird, and I already have Activators Bumblebee.
But Sunstorm looks great. Even though I already made my own, I still wouldn't mind getting a voyager TC repaint.

Shockwave = I know I'll buy him when I see him, but honestly, it doesn't thrill me. I actually prefer the gray Shockwave we already have.

Definately getting Shockwave. So glad I found out about the repaint before I found the original in store.

Sunstorm I can do without. I would however like all seekers in legends class or perhaps activators. I hold out hope that we will get an Omega (hopefully supreme class) and I want a bunch of tiny clones to be flying around him.

Well, I'm excited. I was hoping to see another deluxe seeker clone, and a Sunstorm no less. Sure my brother might end up buying him, but he'll still be in the house so it's all good. X) Now, as for Mr. purple Shockwave, I think I'll get him. I don't have him yet so I think I'll hold out and wait for this version to release.
