New Transformers Animated Snarl Image on Ebay e5b4_1
Thanks to Ebay seller tfctoy for a new view of the upcoming Transformers Animated Snarl toy. Check it out at auction by clicking here.

Also of note are Animated ebay auctions for Autobot Jazz, Leader Bulkhead and Soundwave although they do not show new images.

I have to say, as much as I otherwise love these Animated Dinobots, it really, REALLY bugs me that their weapons aren't storable in alternate mode. I've always hated that.

Because they have less patience and/or have deeper pockets then you.


Only thing I don't like about Slragl so far is that you can easily see the top of his robot head and recognize it as such. Reminds me of a number of the Cybertron toys.

He looks awesome, all Slag needed to look even cooler was the same transformation scheme as Snarl and name!

Because having a guy called Slag when people use it as a swear in the show is the dumbest idea ever.

Hoping that bit's just an early test-shot example, and there will be some black painted on that club. The toy shown at Botcon had some, but that only means so much.

I'm pretty much sold on the animated dinobots already, but I eagerly await a proper review with pics. I just hope they'll eventually produce "Slag" (i.e. Snarl, the stegosaurus) and Sludge in Animated.

Hasbro knows it's slag, but is stuck calling it snarl since they can't use slag.

At botcon, the snarl in the packaged sample also had an unpainted club.
Hasbro saving money and not painting the accessory again.
On the plus side, the unpainted club could double as slag/snarl's flame breath.
Just stick small end into beast mouth.

Is this toy legal? I recall a story a few weeks back about someone affiliated with Hasbro saying all 'opened' toys that were being auctioned before their street date were illegal...or at least something to that affect, so is this something a buyer can get hammered on for purchasing or what?

It very likely is shady, especially given that tfctoy is the seller. Several users on the boards have had regrettable experiences dealing with him on ebay.

The stock photos of Snarl show a painted club. Maybe the club turns black under certain conditions, like if you put it in the fridge or something (a friend had a bunch of dinosaur toys which showed their skeletons if you did that).

At least he has an identifiable head in robot mode. Try identifying BM Cybershark's head from his arse.
