The pessimist in me says that Wingblade Optimus Prime is probably just a straight repaint of the previous Voyager Prime. When you attach the axe to his back it could conceivably be called a "wingblade", lol.

Or it could be Prime with a new trailer.

Speaking of Animated's end date... Veloxiraptor, what are the dates on those preorders? Are they before the end date or after? If they're after I wouldn't expect to see these anytime soon... not in Animated packaging anyways.

Of all the new characters they could have made, this is the one I wanted them to make the most. I can't wait to see pics of this toy...bring on Blackout!!!

Another strange thing is that Soundwave, Arcee, Goldfire Grimlock, and Hydrodive BB are all listed as being in Wave 3, but all four of these new toys are listed under Wave 3 as well. Not sure how that's gonna pan out...

Deadline for these preorders is May 4th.

Arcee, etc. aren't under that deadline. They've been moved into the "in stock" list, which of course isn't accurate.

So are they all lited for March as well? Or is there another date on these things?

Edit: Just saw your post above this one thanks! Strange that Arcee and them are listed as instock when that's totally incorrect. Makes me wonder if they still haven't gotten a clue that things are obviously being rearranged when it comes to this line. I'm thinking that IF we see these figures it will be under the Universe banner... but as long as I get an Animated Blackout I'll be happy...

Yeah, be nice if they announced a Strika figure... though, again, I wouldn't hold out hope for seeing any announced figures anytime soon. Not with Animated's end date and RotF taking center stage. I'm really hoping that Hasbro has something to say about the future of any planned Animated figures at Botcon.

Ratchet could either be a Ratchet repaint or Ironhide, since he could easily be done from Ratchet's mould.

Freeway Jazz is clearly going to be a repaint.

Yeah, just received my order form, too. I think these are printed out, like, a month ago, so it would make sense why they say the Animated waves of Golfire Grimlock, Arcee, and the like are "in stock".

I'm thinking Ratchet is a Cybertronian version of him. That way we could/could have gotten a repaint of him as Ironhide.

Ratchet is probably his cybertronian mode.

Well, if the Ratchet listing is indeed a new mold and not a repaint... I would guess that it's Cybertronian Mode Ratchet... which would be great because it could easily lead into an Ironhide retool.

Been racking my brain about "Freeway Jazz" and "Wingblade Optimus Prime"... I figure there both repaints of some kind. Though, hard to say what kind of repaint they would actually be.

If this is true, I guess we will see some S3 characters as toys.

Should be Jazz repainted as Ricochet.

Maybe Freeway Jazz is a Ricochet homage?

Voyager Blackout should be really cool, hopefully the new Optimus isn't just a repaint, same for Ratchet, Jazz may be all blue like Freeway if it's a literal name, or like Ricochet as has been suggested.

Blackout would be cool to have, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

That would be cool. I'd pick it up if it were too... and call him Ricochet for that matter. I mean... Electrostatic Soundwave (if/when he sees retail) is going on my shelf as Soundblaster.

Seeing all these listings is cool and all, but I really want something from Hasbro to come about the future of this line... especially with the most recent Voyager and Deluxe wave being 'canceled' & 'separated and pushed back'.

I'll say bigger, but not by much... I'll say he's going to be as be or slightly bigger then Lugnut. Just a hunch based on the movie figure...

Freeway Jazz sounds like a repaint, no idea what the colours will be but I don't usually dig repaints.

Wingblade Prime is an interesting one, could just be a repaint but wingblade makes it sound like it has new equipment. Could just be voyager prime with a new backpack or it could be a whole new mould like deep dive bumblebee, I'm eager to find out.

Ratchet, I'd expect a repaint but there's no descriptive term there, if it was a cybertronian version I'd be very impressed with Hasbro but it does make sense since Hasbro could get an obvious repaint out of it.

I really want to believe this is a sign the Animated toyline won't be getting canned, after all. An Animated Blackout toy would be something I'd purchase in a heartbeat.

The sad thing is even if these are released Jazz and Prime and possibly Ratchet are just repaints instead of new characters which means even fewer season 3 characters based on the number of figures Hasbro said we had left this year. At least we get Blackout if they see the light of day. I'm hoping Wingblade Optimus Prime is a new mold of a form he may take at the end of the series but it will probably be a repaint and possible remold of the current figure.

I'f they're sellin' them, I'll be takin' them.

I am curious to see if Wingblade Prime is just a repaint or a remold with different parts/weapon like Samurai Prowl.

I'll be getting blackout for sure. Maybe this "Wingblade" Optimus since the only Animated prime I have is the Cyb. Deluxe.

I'd love to see Blackout be released, and it's very nice to know that he was scheduled to be released, but, I'd rather see confirmation that all these figures will be released! I wish Hasbro would say something. It's slightly depressing, seeing more characters named as upcoming toys, only to remember that it's not even known when or how the first batch is coming out!

It definitely could be, but I was just thinking since the toy line seems to be nearing an end, that maybe Hasbro would just skip right to the Ironhide figure and skip a Cybertron mode Ratchet.

Now, that would one cool altmode! The axe attached to Voyager prime for the trailer just really doesn't do it for me.

Gives me some hope I guess. But then I wouldn't be surprised if the only new Animated names we see are Indefinite Hiatus, Empty Peg, Lazy Repaint, No Show, and Sari It's Been Handled So Badly.
