Okay, odd remark aside, being the Universe line covers all continuities and then some; Soooo, I'm guessing I'm wrong that for most of the Universe line product Hasbro is selling, there's the "Henkei" version overseas with a tendency to have a more show accurate paint app like Onslaught & Powerglide, or Hound & Cheetor, or Ironhide & Galvatron, and since the Hasbro version isn't dead on in coloring if recent images are any indication since there's no current news right this second of a "Henkei Dinobot" that its unreasonable to assume there will be one? Especially since BBTS already has a preorder page up for "Japanese Henkei Classics - C-16 Classics Dinobot"?

You're sick of toys that you don't have to buy and don't take the place of original molds?

And just becuase one repaint might be in fiction doesn't change the fact that it's just the same mold with different colors.

There is a Henkei Dinobot coming - that is confirmed.

I need to preorder him today on that note.

What I think he was trying to get at, is that there is no current show for the figures to be compared to, so they don't have to be ubber accurate to anything. Yeah, they are homaging them to the origionals, but with a more updated look. Something I really like about Hasbro's versions of the figures, and every single Henkei figure I've seen thus far, while really accurate, have been really dull looking, imo.

I was just looking a bit more closely at Overload, to see if I could find any insignia on him. It may just be me, but the "red square" on his crotch sort of looks like an Autobot logo. The photoshopping has definitely made it really blurry, but if you look closely enough at it it looks like an Autobot logo, to me at least.

Cybertron Defense Sureshot is a pretty cool mold actually. Beefy.

I was going to pass on these new wave classics (mostly for financial reasons) but if I'm gonna get ONE Prowl/Streak/Smoke mold, I'm gonna get that Smokescreen.

But I'd much rather have Hasbro release the mythalogical "Blue Bluestreak" deco on that mold.

Atomic Lugnut is meh, but completionism forces my hand. Cockpit decoration teeth are a nice touch though.

Overload another repaint of CD Scattorshot so soon WTF? Then again we've got two repaints of Cyb Evac at the same time too...

Smokescreen, Bluestreak and Prowl never seemed to have different characters in the show... in fact, the only thing that was different about them were there Tech Specs and deco...just like Atomic Lugnut! So what if he has the same name? If I buy him, I'll probably just call him Steelwing or something.

Don't let your love for G1 cloud yours. Smokescreen is apparently okay, bcause other toys shared a mold with him in '84. The same may be said 24 years from now about Lugnut. Your argument is circular, consisting of you saying "I'm right, because I'm right".

Universe is giving homages to almost all TF series in the build-up for the 25th Anniversary. You don't seem to have any idea what you're on about.

Are you insinuateing that I have confused the molds? No I am aware how many releases it has had. But I have purchased multiples for army building.

Flak was my favorite childhood micromaster. He rules. And shall rule again as overload!

If they do a new broadside the tidal wave mold even repainted with a red face would be fine. The only thing that I think stops hasbro from just doing that may be if the con logos are molded in.

I hope this isn't the final color scheme for Dinobot. After going through all the trouble to design a more show accurate mold it would be silly to not paint him in show accurate colors. He will still be bought either way since he was one of my favorite beast Wars characters. Now we need a new Rhinox

Oh and with all this Grimlock love going on I would so buy the new Dinobot mold in Beast Wars Grimlock colors as well

seriously? even Hasbro said he's supposed to be "Octane" when they dubuted him on TF.com, but they couldn't secure the name...

And they even went so far as to explicitly mention in his bio that he dispenses "high-octane fuel." If that's not a wink to the fans, and tacit permission to call him Octane, I don't know what is!

I admit, though, I do feel weird sometimes calling toys by different (non-official) names. I know, it's crazy and OCD, but I just can't help but feel a little silly when I start re-naming them to fit my preconceptions/preferences.
