I really hope Prowl looks as good without the armor as he does with it on. I'm hoping this version can take the place of the Wave 1 version but isn't *dependent* on the armor.

Waspinator and Wreck-Gar are so freaking awesome. SO FREAKING AWESOME. I already have a Prowl, otherwise I would buy the new one in a heartbeat.

But Waspinator, Leo Prime, and Wreck-Gar SHALL BE MINE.

Leo Prime = Mine (Totally looking forward to the "Prime claw mode" that my Cybertron Galaxy Force Prime repaint will have with this)
Wreck-Gar = Mine
Samurai Prowl = Mine
Overload ill get to, even though I have Dropshot but the CD Scattershot mold is one of my favorite molds.
Waspinator = Pass, never was a fan of Beast wars.
Atomic Lugnut = Mine, Love the Realistic bomber plane details on the cockpit, I just hope the chest problem is fixed from the previous mold.

The animated and deluxes look great, definate buys, but am really dissapointed in Overload and Leo Prime.

Overload went from "hopeful" to "eh" and Leo went from "gonna get" to "might pick up the box just to look at it".

I want Waspinator and Samurai Prowl so badly now. The only thing that annoys me is that Dinobot is black instead of his usual awesome brown. I hope that gets fixed or something.

My thoughts:

Wasp: He looks pretty awesome. Good to know he won't just be a BB redeco.
He also has a huge chin. Nice!

Samurai Prowl: I love that they remolded his bike to be more show accurate. Although his robot mode looks a bit mistransformed. Definitely getting him to fight Blazing Lockdown.

Wreck-Gar: Our first garbage Truck transformer + Weird Al in plastic form = I am required by law to own this.

Atomic Lugnut: I am not really into thematic character repaints. This is no exception. Although he does look cool.

Leo Prime: Surprising. I thought they would have gone with a Lio Convoy deco. Cool that they remolded the head, but since there probably won't be a Megatron counterpart. I won't be getting him.

Overload: Again surprising. I was expecting some version og the Armada character. As it is I really have no interest in it.

Dinobot: Nice that we get a bigger picture of him and he's transformed right.
Although I'm not going to trust those color till I see some real pictures of him.

Smokescreen: Cool, I guess.


Edit: I was expecting Wreck-Gar's alt mode arms to form his hip armor. Guess I was wrong.

Wow, the Dinobot mold is great, but of course they screwed up the paint job. Especially since this is the touched up Photoshop version, he'll be much more dull in person. Seriously, they even molded show-accurate shoulder pads into the tops of the arms but didn't paint them. Hopefully the Henkei version gets it right.

Oh, some other nice things about the mold. It looks like his beast mode arms can be detached in robot mode. The whole piece looks to just be clipped on to the shoulder part so I think they can just pop right off for a sleeker looking robot mode.

And I'm still convinced that there's a way to better hide his robot arms in beast mode.

EDIT: Oh, and in the beast mode you can definitely see that he has claws that can be swapped out for the fists, looks like the piece can just turn one way for show-accurate claws, or the other way for fists

I will be getting the Wreck-gar, the Samurai Prowl, Waspinator and the Smokescreen for sure. I don't know about the Prime, I wish he was a new mold, or at least Lio Convoy colored, but I'll probably crack anyways, I love my Prime's. I wish the Dinobot was the right colors though. Why would they redo him and make the mold better but screw with his color scheme??

All those look pretty sweet, will skip overload though. New prowl is tweaked a lot more than I thought he would be. That's borderline a new prowl mold entirely as opposed to the retool they hinted at. Awesome.

LeoPrimes new head looks pretty badass though. I'm digging that.

I think the most show-inaccurate thing about Wreck-gar is the fact that his fore-arms are just silver/grey.

Atomic Lugnutz: Looks ok, but a easy pass
Wreck-gar: Vehicle mode looks much like a Tonka toy. Robot mode redeems it.
Waspinator: Wow, that does look good
Samurai Prowl: Looks very nice, but I already have a Prowl
Leo Prime: Interesting colour scheme, nice new mold on the head, but a pass.
Overload: Wow, they are milking that mold. Easy pass.
Dinobot: I am at loss for words... pass.
Smokescreen: Looks nice, but I am on the fence for him and Silverstreak as I already own Prowl.

Given that new head... I think it's almost a given that somehow further down the line we'll see that repainted again as Razorclaw now.

Wreck-Gar and Leo Prime are cool (especially since Leo Prime's got a remolded head) but those'll be ones my brother will probably get, along with Samurai Prowl.
Dinobot and Smokescreen are definite purchases.
Overload is a WTF figure, considering how they already used that mold once in the Universe/Classics 2.0 line, and how it has nothing to do with any previous character with the name "Overload."
Waspinator and Dinobot are the ones I'm looking forward to the most.

The new deluxes all look cool. Dinobot and Smokescreen obviously have some heavy photoshop gloss on them, but I'm still liking them overall. Dinobots colors are too dark, though.

Wreck-Gar looks fantastic. Can't wait to pick him up.

Leo Prime is... red. Very, very red. The new head is nice, though. I'm not sure why we're getting another repaint of CD Scattershot so soon after the last one.

Waspy Waspinator is a Wasp. I'm definitely picking him up.

Atomic Lugnut? I prefer purple.

Waspinator: There's a few bits where the Animated style throws me, but looks like a great toy.

Samurai Prowl: Looks great. Neat to see a toy 'upgrade' as opposed to a recolor for once.

big bomb Lugnut: Won't bother

Wreck-Gar: Excellent robot mode, though may have a big back/kibble/pack. Truck mode looks kinda toddler-toy puffy, and it appears obvious the 'dumpster lift arms' are part of some gimmick. The face sculpt is pretty damned excellent. Bought on sight.

Dinobot: Holy crap, they CAN take a photo of him transformed correctly! Colors are a bit off, but still very nice.

Smokescreen: Already got Prowl and Silverstreak, so I know what to expect. I'll buy it for completeness' sake.

Drops... Overload: I probably would've bought this if it was Armada Overload, but it's Scattershot, again. No offense Hasbro, but aren't there other other old Voyager-size molds to repaint? This isn't the Target-exclusive Scout line, ya know.

Leo Prime: A surprise in a lot of ways. The use of the Leobreaker mold is not a surprise, the remolded head/face definitely is. The Optimus Prime color scheme is a surprise as well, as I would have expected (and preferred) a Lioconvoy scheme more. I'll probably get it if I see it in stores, but I'm gonna think about it for a bit first.

Damn, so much I want, so much to buy, so much to worry about Chinese factory closings causing delays or worse.

Wants from that list are Wreck-gar, waspinator, smokescreen and possibly samurai prowl.

Wreck-gar - Looking good. Smooth lines and a perfect color scheme. Just hope that backpack he's carrying isn't too bulky.

Atomic Lugnut - Looks good, but just a redeco. I've managed to avoid getting any Animated redecos so far (not that many yet) and think I will be passing on this one too. Only repainted Starscreams are on my list as acceptable repaints... for obvious reasons.

Waspinator - Looks great. Blackarachnia needs food... badly. This should do the trick.

Samurai Prowl - Before today I was going to chock this one up as a no-go redeco. I wasn't sure what kind of a difference the sidecar would make. Seeing it now, I am all over it. Looks pretty good except for how easily his original head can be seen behind the Samurai "mask".

Smokescreen - Yes. Classics redeco is go.

Dinobot - Beast Wars.... pass

Leo Prime - More Beast Wars.... pass again

Overload - Great mold.. but how many times are we going to get it redeco'd? (Yes, I realize I JUST said something about "redeco is go" for Smokescreen that is the 3rd use of that mold) I am primarily into the Uni2.0 line specifically for the "Classics" figures in it and not all the redecos or Cybertron figs etc. that are showing up. However, I'm digging the color on this guy. The Photoshop skills are strong with this one.

I want all but Lugnut. My poor poor wallet. When are these expected to hit?!

There is no samurai mask. Your suppose to be able to see the whole face, but the helmet is put on wrong.

Leo Prime: Why couldn't have Hasbro just re-issued Lio Convoy from Beast Wars II into a slightly different color scheme in Universe packaging? Granted, he does look nice, better than Cybertron Leobreaker. He might actually look good combined with Cybetron Prime, but he still dosen't beat Nemesis Breaker.

Overload: I'm actually surprised they've launched this mold twice now in Universe 2.0, but this color scheme looks beautiful. I already have the original Cybertron Defense Scattorshot, though I'm kinda effy about him.

Dinobot: Looks better than what I thought, though I'm not fond of the crap in his beast mode.

Smokescreen: Alright colors, though they're just over-doing this mold. I'll stick to Prowl and maybe Silverstreak. Otherwise, a definate pass.

Wasp, Wreck-Gar, and Prowl... Oh, my. Can't wait to snatch them up in the future.


I'm a little disappointed that Leo Prime's color scheme didn't lean a little towards Lio Convoy's deco. Then again, with that color scheme I imagine he'd look great attached to Cybertron Optimus Prime/Galaxy Convoy.

Wreck-gar looks awesome! All look awesome, save the repaints (with the exception of Smokescreen). I will definately be picking up Wreck-gar, Waspinator, and Universe Dinobot and Smokescreen.

I'm surprised Dinobot's chest is still the head of the Raptor..I guess this is more of a tribute to the original toy instead of the show though. It'd be awesome to get a show accurate version of Dinobot though...this is upcoming hommage is still full of win though.

I like them all...but Overload feels waaaaaaay too soon for me to feel hyped up for that mold again while it warms the shelves at my local stores...

Wreck-gar pretty much sums up everything i hate about the animated line in one figure. Terrible fisher-price alt mode, goofy sculpts, awkard proportions.

Samurai Prowl and Waspinator are surprisingly cool ~ Prowl is a borderline "buy" and i haven't touched an animated figure yet.

Leo Prime just does not work for me at all in those colors, i can't believe they didn't go for the easy Leo Convoy homage ~ rerally surprised to see a new head. (i'd still rather see botcon Razorclaw out of this mold, which i actually think you could pull off with that headsculpt ~ i'd look for that as a TFCC exclusive if not a mass retail release)

Smokescreen looks much better in bot mode then car, but i really hate the way the "38"s on the doors look ~ the numbers need to be bigger, and the corners of the box rounded and the border around it thicker. not crazy about the red forearms either. I think the "38" on the hood should have gone on the roof in bot mode. Smokescreens my favorite character, and i really kind of wish they'd gone more an homage to the Alternator version then G1, i think it would have worked better on this mold.

I'm pretty indifferent to Dinobot, no strong feelings, but it looks like it's got some cool engineering and looks better than Cheetor.

...and Overload is a G I G A N T I C i can't believe i'm saying this, but even the Armada mold would be preferable to this. I was pullin' for Classics Prime in Blue (micromaster homages being so prevalent in Universe), but that's just me. a repaint of a repaint in this limited of a line is just a head scratcher to me (and i love that mold, but the original is still the best IMO) and with this mold seeming to be the biggest shelf-warmer from the new voyager line around here, i'm doubly surprised it's getting double dipped.

Wow somebody really puked on Atomic Lugnut pretty bad. Wreck-Gar`s bot mode looks pretty good but a questionable alt mode, especially the `fork lift`thing or whatever it`s supposed to be.

The repaints are only so-so looking (Smokescreen looks nice). Samurai Prowl looks awesome but really makes the first version seem like a rip-off.

I like WreckGar (mostly because he's a vehicle sorely under-represented in the TF world: a garbage truck) but I have to toss out a big MEH for the rest of them. Overload is such a poor decision that he doesn't even merit a 'MEH'. He does get irony points though because of his name.
