New Images Of Transformers Animated Jetfire And Jetstorm

If the feet can fold more out of sight, and the Ice/Flames fold out the "Jet" modes might be the best looking.

Hopefully better pictures show up eventually.

Wow, so far this appears to be the first animated figure/set that I'm NOT planning on buying (other than repaints.)

They look... horrible.

My thoughts:

Robot Modes: Like the flame and ice pattern homaging Gao, but I'm not feeling the face sculpt or the twig legs.
Symmetrical Docking: Great homage again to Choryu, Raker and the other Ryus. A lot more poseable than the Gao toys, but at least I hope you can flip the feet and get hands.
Alternate modes: Looks like they went back with Movie Leader Megatron's transformation. A big step back for Animated in which I was enjoying simple but creative transformations.
Combined "jet" mode: WTF is that? Are they mating? What are they supposed to be, a garden shovel? Hoover vacuum? Seriously WTFBBQBLABLAHBLE

I'm still planning on getting them though, only to complete my Animated show figures, and at least the price isn't that horrible.

These look terrible. These could be the first animated toys I'm going to pass on.

Well . . . It lacks a lot of what was expected as an awesome team. I wonder if there is a way you can mod them to combine better in jet mode (wind cross). Deadwind/Darkwing. The ice one looks a lot better to me for some reason. Kinda reminds me of megaman.

On the 'no hands' thing, I'm looking at the cartoon pic and at the combined robot mode, and I'm wondering if it potentially does have hands, in the robot mode heels, but that position they're in in the photo means we can't see them? Wouldn't be the first mistransformed stock photo we've ever seen, after all.

Interesting idea, and totally not what I was expecting. I'm not entirely sold on it, but if there are hidden hands, and those fire and ice bits on the legs flip out as wings, I think we may actually be onto something. I think we're gonna have to wait for more pics, because I have a sneaking suspish these may not tell us everything.

im iffy about them, but ill probably get them just the same, mostly cause its 6 modes for 20 bucks. not too bad. but, like Blurr (IMHO) the toys seem like they're from a different line.

I for one am disappointed....twas hoping for something a lot cooler than what the pics show.

I feel less guilty for passing on the animated line now.

but i agree with Ramrider-if there are hidden wings and if they have hands, they wont be too bad in my book

I really don't like the look of these guys, in ANY of their modes.

I'm really hoping these are mistransformed. With hands and wings, I'd probably get these because of the novel approach to combining. If the pictures are accurate...

My thoughts exactly. I hope they mistakenly used the picture of an Activators version or something because, given the amazing step up in quality with the earlier waves of Animated, these figures are ridiculous.

Nope. These are the first full pictures we've seen of them period. Their animation models were shown at Botcon, but the only one's who saw those are the people who went to the no pictures allowed panel.

Personally I'm going to wait for more pictures of these guys to really form a full opinion on them. It's not like we've had many TF toys that end up exactly like the first pictures we ever saw of them.

Swindle looks really good, not perfect, but still really good. It's nice to see that his stomach cannon and shoulder weapons can be put away in bot-mode, and that it doesn't look as though he'll have transparent purple plastic for parts of his limbs. I'm definitely going to get him.

These are, it has to be said, pretty gross-looking. I hope the animation models can win me over, or that there are better versions of these guys coming out, because tidy-looking robot-mode combination notwithstanding, there's almost nothing impressing me about this two-set.

EDIT: Blurr and Swindle, on the other hand, are pure sex on both legs AND wheels. That pic is the best Animated blurr has looked, and Swindle's colours are G1 as hell. Good to see that Animated is still plugging away strongly despite this disappointment...

Well that's... Underwhelming.

They don't even really have the "Animated Aesthetic". Chalk this one up to "cool idea, poor execution"

I'm holding judgement until someone buys a test/prerelease off Ebay.

Those hands and wings have got to be mistransformed, I mean looking at alot of the Images put out now its a good chance they are.

And from a line that for the most part, has given us some really impressive engineering.

I like them. The combined form is cool, though I share the complaint about the apparent lack of hands on each mode.

I'm getting them regardless. The jets look decent, the individual robots seem cool enough, and the combined mode at least looks fun.

Some Fan work to made them have hands.

They look real close to being good, but right now I'm hoping they are slightly mistransformed.

AHA! I knew something was amiss. Check out the artwork - he's got Wings! They probably detach to form weapons. The hasbro photographers, who as we know are as dumb as bricks, left them off. And probably screwed up the hand/arm transformations too.

Swindle looks perfect, he'll probably join my favorites line-up.

By themselves, not too bad. But combined they look terrible. Almost like Autobot X in combined robot mode, Primus only knows what they're doing in combined jet mode. This could be the worst combiner idea since Energon Grimlock and Swoop. *shivers*

Where are the hands? Who took these pics? Lobster boy? I didn't know this was the BEN10 thread. Alt. mode looks like a wingless fly on a tinted mirror.
These are really poor and lack any kind of dynamic. They look like hunger victims.

The combined mode looks like symetrical docking from Gaogaigar.

I was very excited about the concept, and the reality...bites. I was hoping for a Cybertron Optimus/Wing Saber type thing or at least something like a jet....oh well, I can spend the money on something else.

I just can't get all that excited about these guys and those pics don't help either.

the wings are missing!! look at the art on the box, they have wings! and you can sorta see one next to Jetstorm off to the left of the picture at the bottom of the DVD case. it looks like they have thin futuristic wings, which i think will make this look LOADS better

You know what... after looking at thes again... these are the worst figures in the line. I mean come on, NONE of the modes have hands! And they don't even look like Animated designs.

I really hope they mistransformed them. Even Activators Bumblebee has hands...sorta.
