| New Images Of Animated Rodimus Minor And Oil Slick Repaint |
| Posted on 06-06-2009 at 12:27 PM by Shin Densetsu | 2005 boards members Tommybg2003 and Lance Halberd have posted images of new Transformers Animated toys. Shown in this new set of images are Rodimus Minor, and a previously unseen Oil Slick repaint.
Hasbro intends to release Rodimus and other figures shown at Botcon, someway, somehow, this year. Click on the title bar to see more!

Oil slick again  ! For the record Arcee, Rodimus, Blackout, C.Ratchet, Ironhide and E.Soundwave really should be given priority over him.
Rodimus looks great though at first I thought his mouth was low on the face but it`s growing on me. I will get him for sure.
Is there any chance of an animated comiccon exclusive this year?

Rodimus Minor looks great. A definite buy for me. I'll pass on Oil Slick since I already have the original version.

I really, really want to see Blackout, wingblade Prime, and others! Especially those 2 though, I have a soft spot for movie Blackout(the design, not the toy), and when I found out that the Animated toy was of the earth mode, I was excited! Wing blade Prime I want to see as well, that upgrade was a good homage to God Ginrai, and Galaxy Convoy's super mode. Well done homages FTW!

Oil Slick sold out up here, but it still seems odd to make a redeco like that. I'm wondering what they'll call it. I'm also wondering how they'll release these guys, along with ES Soundwave, FW Jazz, WB Prime, etc. Will they be store exclusives, general retail, or what?

I'd have to see him in the plastic flesh so to speak to see if I would buy him, but there would be a good chance of taking him home with me.. Oilslick not so much.

The only complain is that HE DOSEN'T HAVE A FRONT BUMPER!!!!! , since is not there you can see the robo parts hanging and the half of the front lights are in the air!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, if there is a god, if there is any supreme being playing with our lives as if we are but cheap puppets, PLEASE release some of these figures to stores, since some of us have real lives and can't go to nerdbot gatherings.

I noticed that at Walmart, the Animated shelves/pegs are still there, same with TRU, not clearanced, and not taken over by ROTF stuff. So I think we will see the Animated figures continue at mass market retail until the end of the year.

And that Oil Slick repaint might just win my "Most Useless Repaint of the Year Award". From what I can tell, the main difference is that most of the colours are brighter than the colours on the original.

I will certainly get Rodimus whenever he comes out in Australia. That image looks a bit off, especially the head and overly photoshoped colour, but I think he'll be a swell toy.

Rodimus looks more and more awesome everytime I see him, even if the photoshopped image is off color-wise. As for this Oil Slick repaint, it's not bad. IF it gets released this may be a fortunate thing for me, as I passed on the original since he wasn't a show character at the time.

Rodimus Minor:
Rodimus Minor is a brilliant design. So is Arcee. As a matter of fact I got back to collecting TF because of the Animated series. There is something about the simplicity of the design, nice proportions and animated facial features that make the characters really cool and unique.
When I first saw Blurr at my local Walmart, I knew I had to have it. Then the bug to collect the other figures continued. It is a shame the the series has to end just as I discovered it! I would love to see Dai Atlas, Sky Garry and some of the other characters in toy form.

When Dai Atlas and Sky Garry's images (and Star Saber) showed up in the ninja room on Animated, I nearly cried with joy. Last summer, when there were polls on "What characters do you want to see in the future on Animated?" I would always type "Sky Garry, Star Saber, Dai Atlas..."...kind of as a joke, thinking "Yeah, right...". And then it happened. And for this I will always love TF:A. They listened to fans. I know they were reading posts of people just like us and going "Okay, why not?".
