Hey, that yellow is looking PRETTY good, and his alt mode is alot more believable than the purple greeney (love that deco as well, but this atomic guy is a step-up IMO).

seriously, i think this figure is ridiculously bad even by animated standards, and the new deco is doing it no favors IMHO.
actually, looking again, i tak it back: the deco isn't that bad, but the Mustard Yellow cockpit jsut clashes really badly with the rest (especially the more primary yellow on the arms and nuclear warning symbol)
i will give it this, the teeth are kind bad-@$$ (but the alt mode still makes me weep at the horror of it all).

I actually quite like it.... the yellow makes his head look more skull-like, and the radioactivity symbol on the mace is nice. But I won't buy it. You have to draw the line somewhere, and same-character-themed-repaints seems a good place to do it.
Though I'm all over any Shockwave repaint that comes out... I love having "Longarm" among my Animated Autobots too much, so I need a second version of the figure to be in Shockwave mode among the 'Cons.

I wonder why I happen to like the character-repaints better than the original toys, maybe it's because of the variety.

Damn, that is a good point. Have to have him infiltrating the bots, that is just too cool. But he looks so damn awesome in his Shockwave robot mode.

I sort of have that problem. Although it's easily fixed by closing the cockpit a certain way.

The only true error that they should fix is his LACK of light-piping eye, it was a major turn off when I saw that his massive eye was darkly dark!

Yeah, I can get it to latch in the closed position by closing the one side first and pinching it harder neat the back of the cockpit, but it still sucks.

He does look good in these with the teeth on the side, although if I were to pick one up, it would most likely be the original. The purple seemed to fit him so well..(Honestly, when I first saw him, I thought he was Shockwave/blast xD)
Just a small question though, how does he transform? If I remember correctly, his box seemed to imply that he transformed himself like the activators or something...
