Glad I passed on Megatron, because I prefer that new one.

Yup, that is most definitely Roadbuster-y. They have the name, I don't see why they didn't just call it "Roadbuster" and leave out the Ultra Magnus, would've made more sense.

Anyways, looks better than I was anticipating, so a buy for me. Of course, knowing me, if it was anything short of pink, neon orange, and yellow, I would've bought it. I like the original scheme better, and the couple of blue parts do look out-of-place compared to the main colors.

Shadow Blade Megatron is still three kinds of awesome, though. Animated Obsidian, I dub thee!

those have got to be the worst repaints i have ever seen. wow hasbro, this is sad. i can't believe they actually consider putting them on selves.

First off there's characters that are always repaints of other characters like Cliffjumper of Bumblebee, Thundercracker/Skywarp of Starscreak, Silverstreak of Prowl, Sideswipe of Sunstreaker, Ultra Magnus of Optimus Prime, etc so WHY Do they need to make Repaints that aren't characters in a show, movie, or comics. Why Buy the same toy twice with a horrible color scheme.

I did the buy same toy twice thing with the Premium Movie line but that's become they did have better paint and detail and were more movie accurate.

If Repaints are for Preference of Color...then Hasbro should do what Patrick aka Stopmotionjr suggest and just give us White or Uncolored Versions of their figures and paint and we can paint the Figures the way WE Want instead of useless repaints clogging shelves.

Um... I would imagine that's probably what they WERE thinking about when they decided on the Ultra Magnus repaint.

"Hey, instead of just slapping some random colors on Magnus, how about we paint him like.... let's see... oh! Roadbuster! The alt mode certainly fits!"

A BIG PASS on Road-Magnus... green and yellow color throws me off... Eh, not in the least bit interested. Oh well more moneys to spend on other Classics and Encore Goodness.

Oh wow. G1 roadbuster homages. Kudos to hasbro I really think that's a better way to go with the redeco if they expect fan interest.

shadow blade megatron is supposed to resemble how megatron looked in the animated pilot episode aboard the nemesis. Its a little clearer to make out the small details in this photo. The chest symbol does'nt stand out as much as the original. And I like that powered up blue to accent it.

I might pass on Megs, but that Roadbuster/Magnus looks really nice. I'll buy him over the original Magnus.

Love Ultra Magnus, but they should have changed the clear plastic and head to green. Still, I prefare it over the old colors.

I'll still be getting the original version of Ultra Magnus.

The Magnus is really nice, but I can't afford 2 of the same leader so Im sticking with the original.

OMG... How ugly can they make them...pffff. Hasbro is really going mad with all those strange recolors. Won't buy them because they aren't in the story and because they are just to damn ugly. I'm guessing they will on the shelf for an long time. C'mon, Hasbro please make us happy and make an Omega Supreme toy.

That paint job on Megatron is giving me a "Straxus" vibe. To bad they didn't choose one of his Cybertron molds to paint it on, then he'd have one badass flying cannon mode.

Interesting choice of colors for the UM repaint. That's all I have to say.

Unless these are incorporated into the show, they will be passes for me.

Roadbuster looks interesting, quite like a giant Brawn.

Also note the grey head in stead of blue.

I may pick up Roadbuster Magnus on clearance...if only because he carries a GOLDION HAMMER!!! I'll have to repaint it gold/orange, though. Haha.

But yeah, I'm not feeling these repaints. More money saved for the crazy amount of TF/Macross stuff coming out soon.

Well... I kinda like these. Although I would prefer that, if Hasbro gives us repaints on a 40 dollar figure and changes the color to something that totally doesn't fit the character, the remold the head and make it a new character. a new head for Megatron, and call him Megastorm (making him Megs brother.) Make Ultra Magnus, simply, Roadbuster. Remold the head to fit with G1 Roadbuster, and you can make him one of Magnus trusted Wreckers warriors. I'm not even and MISB guy, but IF I do get these, they are staying in the box.

I hate how that Ultra Magnus looks! He should never have those colors on.

Don't know if this has been said already (don't feel like reading the whole thread), but I can't find the energy to care about a Magnus repaint when the regular Magnus hasn't been released yet. August release, my left buttock.

I like all the Roadbuster homages going on lately, but I'd love to see a new head on at least one of them. I still think that the classics Cybertron repaint is a better mold for the character, but I can see people wanting this one. That said, it seems odd to me that these Leader-class repaints are coming out so soon.

Very awesome , Ultra Magnus is the best Transformer toy ever made .

I'm not a fan of repaints, but that Roadbuster repaint is really out of left field, and looks very swish indeed.

Hats off to whoever pushed for that.

Don't really care for Shadow Blade Megatron, but I like the Roadbuster repaint.

Huh. I can actually picture that looking pretty good.

Both of these are a pass for me. But the magnus repaint, reminds me of brawn. Someone should resculpt the head, and lose the "thor hammer", or something. That would be pretty cool.

That's a nice Roadbuster Repaint! Can we get a Retooled head version? I wouldn't mind buying this mold again if that's done.

To be honest, I like the original color scheme given to us by Hasbro. Ultra Magnus looks fantastic, as is. I know why they're repainting him, it's just not necessary.

The Roadbuster recolor looks good, and demonstrates the designers' talent, but I'm not convinced it will sell well.

If these figures shelfwarm (and Roadbuster is hardly a name the kids flock to), it may hurt plans for future Leader-class figures.

I can't beleave there still pushing Movie Megs, and Prime.
And I dig the Magnus repaint.

Fantastic deco on Roadbuster Ultra Magnus.

I guess the only thing that may stop me from buying it will be the price tag ... but knowing myself, I guess I'll end up with two leader Magnus just like I ended with two Supreme size Energon Omega Supreme molds.

OTOH, the Megs is easier to pass on. Don't know why.

Besides, without repaints how many people would be missing Cybertron Wing Saber, or any of the other Movie repaints of Cybertron figures? Or Classics Mirage. Repaints are a great way to get product to people who have missed things the first time around, and can often make a toy look better than it did the first time.

Pretty cool. I would nab both if I didnt already have the first paints in a heartbeat. Out of the 2 though I prefer the Roadbuster. Not enough Green and Brown bots out there.
