The second Botcon 2009 panel that we have coverage from is the Transformers Animated Animating Animated panel. I'll get the hard part out of the way first - yes, the series is done. Derrick Wyatt, Marty Isenberg and the rest of the staff have given the official confirmation that season 3 is the end.

With that out of the way, the panel covered the whole process of creating the series and a few of the answers out of the question and answer session answered some hanging questions from Season 3, such as the fate of the Constructicons, Wreck Gar and the Dinobots.

Click on the title of this story to read the notes taken in the panel.

No... it definitely seemed that way to me too. Especially with the introduction of Tyrese into the Design Panel. Not that I'm upset about that mind you, but it does raise questions when you combine that with the fact that Hasbro seems to have been avoiding specific questions lately.

I disagree. I was there and asked Bill Rawley about the Tyrese thing during the design panel, and he said literally, "We found out about Tyrese about 20 minutes before the panel". So, from that, i think it's logical to assume that Hasbro wanted to answer your questions - but something bigger came up.

Additionally, i'm not so sure i understand why you guys have to wait for a panel to get your questions answered... Hasbro is at the convention all weekend and even stay in the same hotel as the guests. It's not difficult to approach them. And most of the time, they are more than happy to answer your questions.

Hasbro's panel on saturday was 2 hours long and they only spent around an hour presenting... so that gave every fan in the room plenty of time to ask about the demise of animated. If you are telling me that Hasbro gave you guys nearly an hour to ask questions, but yet you still feel like they're curtailing your Q&A time, i think you're being silly.

In fact, i'm pretty sure that one of the fans did ask about it. Hasbro basically said that there's a lot of factors going into the end of animated - and they could not discuss all of them. The reasons they did give had something to do with the new network and them wanting to change gears a little bit. They decided to end animated at a point that they saw fitting. That is their right, whether you like it or not.

Sorry, wasn't there so I only know what I've been told from friends who went and what I've read on these boards. I hadn't seen anything anywhere about why the show ended and hadn't heard anything from friends either. Frankly, it doesn't matter to me one way or another (shows over now, oh well you know)... it just appeared from everything that I've read and heard that they'd been pretty dodgy in answering any questions about the series ending.

But like I said... I wasn't there myself. My information comes only from what I've read on these boards and what a couple friends of mine who went told me.
