I hope we are going to see a gallery of Animated toys soon (like Scrapper, Shockwave and Mixmaster).

An Animated Shockwave voiced by Corey Burton is beyond awesome. I really like the idea of Prowl getting a sidecar that becomes his armor. I just hope I can buy the sidecar separately and not have to get another Prowl fig.

And I can't wait to see Black Friday!

Still, don't get your hopes up for finding that Prowl thing. Thye don't let you bring video recorders or cameras to the panels. Eyes only.

I'm nervously optimistic about Jetfire. Here's to hopping he's got some g1-type ties to Starscream. Character development is usually a plus. Jetfire's always been my love-to-hate character because of that.

So in Black Friday what happend to Blackarchinda after that.

Jetstorom and Jetfire will be awesome.

I would like to see Moonracer as well. A "younger" but not annoying Autobot femme would be a plus.

This is extremely unfortunate, and is a big enough deal (to me) that it could end up hurting my commitment to this line. I really thought Lugnut was important enough to get two size classes, but evidentially not.

It says current plans, there's season 3 toys being worked on the moment and discussions for season 4 figures.

Well as long as it doesn't require a year or more advanced planning, I guess there could still be some hope. I just have doubts. If it's not happening now or anytime soon, I'll be surprised if it happens at all. Guess this is where constant online badgering will come into play

BTW, wasn't there supposed to be a "big reveal" from Hasbro today? Or is it tucked somewhere within all the panel news?

The 'big reveal' was a 25th Hot Shot, I believe.

I did - and that's why I asked. Nothing there is really jumping out as "big" news. Was it the Hot Shot news?

Well they still want to do Universe Cosmos and Voyager movie Bonecrusher so all things are posisble.

On that note, I am really am impressed by how much Hasbro listens to it's fans. This has been a Botcon full of absolute win for them (and me) with only 1 or 2 minor dissapointments that are barely noticed in the grand scheme of things.

So hats off to Hasbro.

Agreed. And I'm definitely not looking for something to bitch about - I was just so sure that a Leader Lugnut *must* be in the pipeline... as I've mentioned time & again in other threads. Now I'm eating my giant foot.

But yeah, everything else has been 1000% insanely positive news. I'm very impressed with Hasbro right now.

I'm not surprised a Leader Lugnut isn't in the works, sadly... though I want one, I honestly don't think he merits a Leader-class based on his role in the show.

I wouldn't worry. For one thing, everything Hasbro says should be taken with a grain of salt. I'd bet they really want to save BigNut for next year just to help keep the line going.

And for that matter, asking them in the first place tells them there is interest.

I understand your point of view - I just don't agree with it. In MY mind, Lugnut is as major of a character as anyone else considering he's one of the four or five main Cons. He's had more screen time than BA & Soundwave, almost as much as Starscream at this point, etc. Plus with the Leader versions of Bulkhead & Magnus, I dunno, it just made sense to me that the Cons would have two as well - Megs & Lugnut.

But fair enough, it's not happening (for now anyway) so I won't harp on it.

Oh, I love Lugnut. But Bulkhead's gotten a LOT more screentime than Lugnut.

And Magnus and Megs kinda need Leader-class figures for the class to be true to its name.

Seriously, I may stop watching the show if they do Omega Supreme. A giant giant robot would be too lame unless he appears one ep and is destroyed never to be seen again.

Lugnut is in it more and more, he has more lines then blitzwing. (just watching 19 now)

He IS Bulkheads opposite, I'd be surprised if there isn't another Lugnut toy evntually.

DAMN!!! I'm not going to lie. The first day of Botcon news was pretty slow. This has really picked up steam!!! Anyone know what class Shockwave will be??

If he's an H-Tank...I'd guess Voyager.

Otherwise he would be a pathetically small Deluxe.

I hope Animated Shockawave is at a minimum a Voyager. If he's Deluxe I hope he's like Lockdown where his robot mode makes him at least the height of Voyager.

Either way I really like the direction this line is going. Oh and having Omega Supreme would be a good thing in my opinion.

If he's an H-tank he could be, depending on how they work the transformation.

Well they said Shockwave's body is slim so he could be Voyager-Deluxe.

There's not much I'm disappointed about where Animated is concerned, but aside from the lack of a Leader Lugnut, I have to admit that Sentinel's size choice is another big letdown. I thought it was a given that he'd be a voyager and am really trying to understand why he isn't. And based on the figure we've seen, he doesn't look like he'll have that magic Lockdown perk of transforming to twice the size in bot mode. If anything, he actually looks smaller... probably not much taller than Bumblebee or Prowl.

I guess there goes the hope that this line would remain pretty much in show accurate scale across the board.

He's not as bad as I'd feared and he's actually fairly accurate. Only real in accuracies are his feet, chevrons on the doors, small wheels and non transparent weapons.

all this upcoming animated stuff is getting very frustrating, esp how wave one is still almost 2 months away.

For the first time in ages i actually looking FORWARD to great new Tf toys instead of back.

Oh yeah, I saw the pics. And I agree, the MOLD is as accurate as expected. I'm simply referring to the size scale. I know it's not perfect anyway (trying to save someone from pointing that out) - but it's definitely been *as close* to perfect as I've seen in any TF line thus far. I don't care about the nuts & bolts of what constitutes deluxes vs voyagers, amount of plastic used, etc. I just don't like the fact that Sentinel will be a good head or more shorter than voyager Prime.

But like I said, that's the only beef I have with the line so far beyond the LN size issue. Everything else is pretty much perfect.

scale doesnt tend to bother me but lugnut could have been way bigger, the fact that hes probably the most 'monster like' of the animated characters he deserves some size for sure. the only animated toys im really not keen on are lockdown and oil slick, also jazz is ok but i feel he could have been far better realised, hes just too gangly and lacks the flowing aesthetics of say voyager prime or prowl. looks like theres 2 core designers/teams on animated toys, there seems to be 2 different styles going on (and im guessing this relates to two different desginers or teams????but i could be totally wrong of course) but i like the optimus/grimlock/prowl/UM style over the rather odder oilslick/jazz/lockdown look.

Oh I agree with you entriely, I've been rooting for Sentinel to be a voyager since before he arrived on earth as I just liked the design and it's parralels with Optimus's own design. I thought they'd look great, two stocky voygers side by side. Instead we get this, how is Sentinel going to intimidate from down there!

On this note, I also wish Ratchet had been a voyager.

Same here. And that is THE saving grace for Sentinel right now... that Ratchet isn't as big as he should be either. At least those 2 will be around the same size, so it makes it a bit of an easier pill to swallow... if I'm being really open minded about the whole situation.

I just don't want too many more of these "well, they do the trick" size decisions.
