Looks neat; ax looks kinda weak (not a deal-breaker though), but the faceplate looks far better than I ever would've thought possible. Him and the Cybertron mode deluxe are the only Primes I'm interested in. Well, maybe the 2-pack one so I can steal his axe.

Looks a lot better here than in previous auctions. I like how the neck is still able to swivel despite the face plate gimmick being there. I like the gimmick too, its great since we see him with his mask off a lot in the series, and only recently started to see him use his mask more. I hope this comes out not too long after wave 1.

I'm not really sure why, exactly, but I LOOOOOVE this toy. I must have it immediately. In fact, it may be my favorite Optimus ever, and I don't even own it yet. Does anyone know if the 2-Pack Prime will get an individual, un-damaged release? If he will, then he's mine too...and they can share deluxe Prime's axe.

This guy is simply beautiful. I love him. I must have him. Vehicle mode looks great. Robot mode looks great. Axe is not too bad. I don't know if I can wait until he comes to the stores.  slugslinger2004:

I love his axe. Granted, it's not show accurate (I'll grab the two pack for one that is), but by itself, it looks pretty cool.

The axe is definitely a bit "whaaa?" compared to how it looks in the show, but the fact that it transforms & enhances the alt mode more than makes up for it. Plus I think I'll be just as happy leaving it on his back since I'm not really a fan of the whole axe thing anyway. Call me old fashioned, but I liked it when TF's had guns... and maybe swords. Axes, maces, nunchuks, etc. - not so much.
F'n great looking figure overall.

Yeah, I'm loving the melee weapons. Deluxe Prime's axe looks a lot better now that I've shortened it to be more show-accurate.

LIke Hotrod said "Guns aren't exactly friendly." But I totally feel you I liked good ol G1's Laser Riffle it just felt like a real man's...er Bots weapon. But if you think about it with all the anti-guns stuff these days I can see why the show just went for the built in blasters and Slicing/bludgening weapons. lord ginrai:

In real life you'd be way cooler if you killed someone with a melee weapon than a gun.
Guns are too easy. They're sooooooooo 2007.

I wonder if Optimus gets this axe on the show as well.
It'd be wicked if he gets to use his axe/gun combo as a jetpack in the cartoon!
