Basketball Jones:
Animated Battle Blaster? I thought Prime didn't use a firearm in this series.
Smasher:
Man -I really like that Battle Begins set except for the Battle Damage.
It just looks like dumb tribal tattoos.

And why is it Earth Mode Prime and not Cybertron Mode Prime?

This the Optimus Firetruck that transforms into a nerf gun that looks like primes hand and blaster.

Cybertron prime is sold seperately. The prime that is included in this set isn't earth mode Prime but rather an animated version of G1 Prime. He is a rig with smoke stacks.

Because we already are getting a deluxe-class Cybertron Mode Optimus.
jcard2005:
Well, now we have date for the release. I do see many getting up early that morning and heading out to aquire these gems
Ravenxl7:
Good news about the release date, and about the Leaders being released in August. I've already got enough money saved up for what I plan to get from the first wave, so this'll give me some more time to save up for the Leaders.
Ktulu:
Cool. It'll be hear before we know it. Hope I get some more income soon so I can save up for them
Kaijumaster:
darn shame Blitzwing isn't in Wave 1
airfox:
So I guess I should schedule a trip to the U.S. for August ....

That's the size of it. Toy sales are dead until Easter anyway. If I were Hasbro I'd be pushing Cartoon Network to move to weekday afternoon reruns of Animated this summer. It also makes sense to put the Deluxe and Voyager out before the Supreme and Leaders, considering they are the same characters. You'll sell the twerp Bulkhead, Prime and Megatron, then debut much bigger versions and hook your customers all over again.
SmokescreenGT:
Well, looks like I'll be up at the crack of dawn at my local Walmart on June 22nd to spend more money. At least I'll have more time to save for the Leader figures.
shibamura_prime:
So does this mean all the initial cases will have "On shelf no earlier than June 22" stamped on them?

Let the customer service scandals commence!

Easter is only a month from now, March 23. Three months, a quarter year, almost a school semester, before the earliest figures are out.

There will only be 13-16 episodes out by then, making a series cycle every three weeks.. I think building up anticipation for the show and for the toys is a very wise move. Don't think we'll be the only ones lining up that morning in June to get the first wave...
Hasbro is doing everything right with this series IMO.
Silent_Magnus:
13-16 episodes is a good amount for a cartoon network series.
microclone:
despite anihaters really playing down this line there are some interesting possibilities.

Imagine the kids really get into animated over the next few months and start really wanting the toys esp on the back of the movie line. fans are going to be almost rabid by august for 2 reasons 1)because they want the toys anyway 2)because as is typical with the somewhat addictive nature of collectors they will simply want something different and new over movie repaint ( we really have to have another 6 months of movie toys!! i didnt like them anyway) and as an extra the inevitable images of later waves which i hope are amazing will turn more to animated generally.

are we going to see these thing flying of the shelves like hot cakes?
Railguard:
As of yet I have yet to see anything on the shelves where I live so whether or not anything new comes out I will probably have to hit ebay to get anything new. And no I don't really care for the animated stuff...sorry.
Johnator:
Meh I don't really care for the animated toys at all. Good show but lousy looking for Transformers. Hope all of you who want them get them though.
NGW:
Really would rather have the figures out like...before June, but I digress.

Also, no leaders until August? Poo....
Shin Densetsu:
The fact that Activators Bumblebee resembles the G1 version so much proportion wise impresses me a lot. So bought! Phew, deluxes/voyagers only on june 22 saves me a lot of money! I can take my time with this line now.
jdre_124:
Argh too long for me!!
