FYI:

The K-Mart sighting of Bulkhead awhile ago can be considered true, as I've spoken with a friend of mine working on the field team of Hasbro (Retail Management Support) and they were asked to check the backroom of every store and pull all Animated toys until further notice.

There's nothing to suggest Takara is going to carry Animated (yet). Keep in mind, Takara likes their cartoons to be 52 episodes long, and we've only had confirmation of 2 seasons so far from Hasbro and Cartoon Network.

Street date for the Animated toys should remain the same, though we know by now that "street dates" as in "available in all stores, at all times, every time you go in" does not equal "when stores put them out", so we could see Animated hit by late April early May instead of "June" as suggested by Hasbro.

And I <3 Animated
SarahMobius:
I just want one of each.... and one of each for my bf.
Paladin:
A sale through Hasbro Toy Shop for very rare items that a lot of people want????

This will not end well.

Wow this is sure going to lead to a shoot load of large orders and turnaround scalping if this is the only way they will be available for the next 3 months. I mean a SHOOT LOAD (lolz).
Nightrain:
I'll have to skip it anyway. My budget was prepared with GI Joe in mind, not Transformers yet.
T-money:
Holy mother of God!

There has to be some sort of catch. I'm thinking there will be low quantities available with a quick sell out.

Here here. Which makes only releasing them through one outlet this far ahead of retail release seem sort of...silly.

Sweeeeet. I want just enough of those to make the $50 cap too.

Interesting. So all this time there have been stores with backrooms full of Animated toys? Man, if only I had known, I still have my burglary kit from when the movie toys came out. (I joke)

Yeah, if anything Animated might come later there, but I hate to be a doubting SPLIT LIP, but I can't see it happening unless under special circumstances.

Here's hoping. I seriously just want an Animated fig, I don't care who. Plus, I'm probably one of very few who is actually really excited for Voyager Bulkhead.

It won't work if you have like $49.96 worth of stuff, they don't include tax in the $50 cap.

It sucks, because I only want three deluxes and a voyager. I'll have to order something else cheap that I don't want to make it worth it.

The stupid x.99 strikes again.

Not around here apparently
my mom works a the local K-mart and tells me every time they get a new shipment of transformers in. Might just be more western/urban stores.

Anyways the only one I'd consider picking up on the hasbro toy shop would be Prime or Prowl(not both). The rest can wait till local retail.

Great Beard Of Zeus!!
SmokescreenGT:
Very tempting to buy these ahead of time. But, I was kinda looking forward to the hunt come June 22nd. Still, at 10% off and free shipping, how can I really resist?
UltraDevmodious:
i say just pick up whatever you can get or want most next week.

(2) prowl (2) lockdown (1) bumblebee and (1 to keep sealed got one coming form ebay)voyager starscream are all i want.

the rest i can wait for.
Zie:
Sadly all I really want from Wave 1 is Lockdown, and maybe Starscream...at the moment I'm stil undecided on him. That means I'd have to order a LOT of random junk to hit that 50 free shipping cap. Maybe I can pad the order with some random legends and g.i. joes or something to make it worth it, but they never have any of the ones I wanna buy in stock so I'm usually s.o.l.

Guess I'll wait and see what happens on the 25th

If the past is any indicator, don't count on them being up and in stock by the date they claim they will be.

My guess is that they'll be out of stock 10 seconds after they appear on the site, magically reappear later that afternoon, be out of stock again and then won't be seen again.
Tech Spec:
Didn't Hasbro say at last years BotCon panel that HTS will be taking orders and ship worlwide at the start of 2008?

Guess not
ponn01:
If that list is complete I just want bumblebee, prowl, voyager Megatron and voyager Starscream. I don't want a deluxe prime, will hold out for voyager and i'm not quite sure about lockdown. I have a feeling he will be a peg warmer anyways.

Does anyone know when they usually update their site? Just keep watching from midnight on?
Victorysabre:
So how many of us are gonna be on HTS.com crashing their servers? *chuckle* It'll be the Nemesis Prime incident all over again.

As a possible safety tip to everyone- the 25th is a Tuesday, and most of the time HTS will post new things the first business day of the week at around 8AM Pacific time. So, while they say the 25th, I would guess Monday the 24th was a better chance.

You forgot "Then show up a week later AFA graded at 40x the price."

Really? Of those first six, I'd say the number one priority should be Lockdown.

Not to rain on everyone's parade here, but the Indiana Jones figures are also available on-line at HTS. They just wont ship until the middle of May.

http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/ProductsByBrand.htm?BR=869

I think the Animated Figures will be the same. Available, just wont ship until the end of June. IIRC HTS did the same thing with the Movie Toys. They were available on-line but just wouldn't ship until the street date.

See, the thing with that is that somehow I don't think the Animated wave 1 is sitting in the stock rooms of stores this far before their release. I just can't buy that. If the field team of Hasbro was sent to do that did they find any cases? Has anything other than the Bulkhead (which if Animated cases were in the back surely didn't ship on his own) been found? No.

I don't doubt that stores will receive cases by a month or so before release date (say May) and some will put them out early (happened with Zellers here in Canada for the movie toys), but that is a different story than retail stores having cases sitting in their back rooms NOW (which if was the case I'm sure we'd have had more 'put on the shelf early' cases by now).

Long story short, I think assuming that they are or have been sitting in retail back rooms now is a false assumption.

So is that in the sense you can order them but they won't ship till the street date? I guess what I mean is I can order everything I want and they will ship on the street date but they won't charge me till they ship?

I agree. I think Animated Wave 1 is not in stock rooms of stores. But I do think it's already in distribution centers. Still in the possession of retailers, and I think one box was sent to one K-Mart by mistake and was put on the shelf. A kid bought most of the case, and a fan found the last Bulkhead. I can buy that. We'll likely never know the true story though.

I knew it was too good to be true if that turns out to be the case I might as well wait for the street date
clonemanager:
With the current economy and high gasoline price, I 'd just order everything first and then hopefully they 'd ship as soon as possible and it is alright if they promise to ship by the street date. It is a good deal with 10% off and free shipping for order >= $50.

I hate to say it, but this is probably the case. While the figures can be ordered on the 25th, they won't ship till june 22nd. HTS like hasbro proper will probably stick to the original street date. It's probably just advanced ordering, like their doing with the indiana jones figures. We'll find out on the 25th when they plan to ship.

Yeah, that's what I figured too. Iron Man toys have been in the same kind of situation as well (even though they are showing up retail already).
nkelsch:
At least people can't complain of not being able to get these. Allowing 3 months of pre-orders is smart.

We won't have to rely on a secondary market for Bumblebees when the shelfs pegwarm with cybertron Mode Primes.

anybody know quantities that will be available or are they going to be gone in 10 minutes.Dammit i want prowl.

Exactly. The RH Dispensor figure is also available to buy on HTS, but it won't ship until May. I'll just wait for June 22nd for Animated. Besides, I have to work all day on the 25th. I doubt my boss will like me being on the computer the entire time.

I don't doubt you may be write, but that goes contrary to what the rep that Peaugh got on the phone told him, which was that they would be sold, shipped, and played with on that day.

Anyway, I will be keeping an eye on their site on that date. I have a feeling they will be selling out fast! I really hope they put a limit to the number of each of these you can buy. This way it would lessen the chance of the EBay seller hogs sweeping them all up them marking them up on there!

Really hope I get my hands on one of each!
