I liked the big chins. Gave them a heroic look. Especially Sentinel. He looked like The Tick. heh. I want more chins!!!!

Rodimus looks like a Megaman or Eon Kid wannabe... ick. Love BLACKOUT. He looks far more fearsome than his movie counterpart. No exposed wires to pull out. Bay, take notes. The others looked meh at best. Now, I demand movie Barricade be brought to TFA. He was the only movie design that was looked G1-ish. He wasn't a skinny bulk of wire & metal frames, his transformation was very classic, and he gave me the only smile the first time I saw the TF movie.

They all look nice... I wonder what they will look like coloured?

I hope Rodimus Prime is a little more friendly than the other Primes to Optimus.

Rodimus Prime: I like everything except the head, though that shouldn't be a problem since a cartoon character isn't stuck in just one pose for the whole cartoon.

Spittor: He looks like a Quintesson creation. It looks like he has the mouth from one of the quintesson guards(not sharkticon, though he has the same body type) and the toungue/ tentacles from Quintesson prosecutors and scientists.

Strika: She looks perfect. It looks like they took BM Strika and dumped her in animated. She should be voiced by Tress MacNeille(the voice of Mom in Fututrama and Agnes Skinner in Simpsons).

Blackout: Looks very good. He's the first character to be hommaged from the 2007 movie.

Yes! I like Roddy and Blackout a lot. I was never really a fan of Strika, and it'll be weird to see her without Obsidian's awesomeness hanging around, but I have faith in the animated writing staff. Can't wait to see more Autobots.

They should do a movie homage where Sumdac tries shooting Blackout in the junk and he says something like, no, I've taken care of that weak spot!

Damn, they all look spot on! I like Blackout the most, though I am a Movie Blackout fan.

Pretty sweet though I'll probably pass on blackout and strika if they get figures.

i have discovered the cause of the tiny Lugnut- they didnt want people to confuse him for LEADER BLACKOUT (might happen this time), as long as he actually is larger than Lugnut

Looks like Strika turns into an armored assault vehicle like Beast Machines.

Though it looks like it would be similar to Bulkhead somewhat.

I'm baffled as to how anyone can say Animated Prime is better than G1 Prime. Unless we're talking about the actual toy.

G1 Prime = complete and total badass

Animate Prime = some dude who transforms into a fire truck and has an axe

I like Rodimus' design. I'm really getting a Mega Man vibe from his head for some reason...and that's not a bad thing.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what he turns into (a car or a "truck") and if he'll have a trailer attachment should it be a truck.

I'm just pretty impressed Wyatt and any other involved designers managed to adapt the characters from their original media with little but stylistic change and make it work as well as they did.

Rodimus Prime- Gives me Energon Rodimus vibe- Can be voiced by Keith David (if he's serious character) or Patrick Warburton (for comical reasons)

Blackout has best design-Hopefully those rotors turn into swords like Megatron and he's voiced by the guy who voiced his animated movie prequal counterpart

Strika looks like the Tf version of Granny Goodness as well as her BM self

Oh man, I'd totally blow my wad if Keith David voiced Rodimus Prime. What's the expression... "EPIC WIN"?

I'm kinda surprised he's not plain old Rodimus or Hot Rod. He looks stunningly geewunny. Can't wait to see him in colour and his vehicle mode. I'm guessing it will be a car instead of a winnebago.

Never was a BW fan, so I'm not crazy about his gang (if that's what they are).

Agreed. I'm tired of hearing from idiots who can't get passed the chins. We've never before had a TF series with such strong character designs. The designs for Animated are more suited to animation and communicate the characterisation so much more clearly than what we used to get.

These are awesome, as ever.

My only problem with Rodimus is the skinny legs and bulging calves. I can probably get used to it, but I miss the old flared trouser leg design.

I really like the head though. I wouldn't change a line ... I think it's perfect!

It may just be me, but the more I look at Rodimus Prime, the more I get a Clint Eastwood vibe from him. Which, imo, is a good thing.

But he's already married to Megatron.

The new Blackout looks like a fusion of waspinator, and Bltizwing. Rodimus looks cool. But Strika looks alittle differant, and does spittor have a robot mode?
