Animated Rodimus Prime, Blackout, Spittor and Strika Images

Any speculation on actual size? Blackout would make an awesome and well deserved leader class figure.

If anyone of them gets a toy I hope it's Rodimus.
I want a whole sentai team's worth of Primes.

I hope we see their other modes soon.

I guess I'm one of the few who doesn't like Rodimus? His narrow hips and his bland expression just kill me.

Spittor looks a lot like an animated version of Don Figueroa's Beast Wars Gathering concept art.

I approve these, let's get them rolling. Also a Nightscream repaint of Rodimus.

Someone probably just cracked it. If your password was shorter than 16 characters, then someone could have broken it in less than a day. (I didn't bother trying myself, so I'm not sure how much security it had against password crackers and other exploits)

Blackout is the looks like a Space Ghost/ Transformers Crossover for Zorack. I like the look for all of them though

What is with the lack of chins?!

Blackout looks GREAT, though the head is a little TOO squat. LOVE how they worked him into a beetle.

Spittor is really funky, but in a good way. Yeah, I can definitely see Slapper's voice coming out of that thing.

Rodimus Prime looks tame, but only in comparison to the others. What I expected, nothing more.

Starscream stole them for his clones.

They spent their chin budget on Optimus, Starscream and his clones, Sentinel, Blitzwing, Scrapper, and Wreck-Gar

I can seriously see Strika being voiced by Tress MacNeille.

can't quite put my finger on it but theres something not sitting right with those designs.

All look pretty cool, here's my opinons on each one of them:

Rodimus Prime: Looks pretty good. Not really sure what he turns into yet I like the wings on his back and the pipes on his arms. Putting the logo in his flames is a pretty good decision too. Looks like he has some similarities with both Sentinel and Optimus.

Spittor: Looks pretty cool. I really hope this design gets a toy. Looks as though he's a combination of Spittor and Gnaw. It'll be interesting to see what his bot-mode looks like (looks like he'll have one to me).

Strika: Not bad, but not one of my favorite designs so far. Really good homage to the origional, yet looks way better, imo. It'll be interesting to see her and Lugnut in the same scene (that is if they ever are).

Blackout: Best new Animated design so far, imo, with Beachcomber in second and Rodimus Prime in third. I really like the movie Blackout homage in this, and I really hope we get a Voyager class figure out of this design. Like Strika it'll be interesting to see him and Lugnut in the same scene, though that is asuming they'll be in the same scene at some point.

Can't wait to see Rodimus as a toy and animated.

I like all four. Rodimus in particular looks bad@$$. (I don't see his expression as Emo, but as Pissed)

I guess Rodimus PRIME will be a squad leader like the other 3 Primes in TFA: Optimus, Sentinel and Longarm.

These designs are very interesting. But oh lawd... I can hear Roseanne Barr's voice coming out of Strika's mouth.

I dont know. those arent bad,like the fact we are seeing characters frok differents timelines/universes in the Animated version but..i just dont know. Maybe when i see some clips. To be honest i've never been a fan of those characters, well, not true i do like Blackout.

Now if only we can get a leader class Blackout out of the Animated line.

Strika's a dead ringer for her BM version, Blackout looks like Lugnut's brother & Rodimus looks nice. Wish we could get a Robot Mode for Spittor though.

Considering Lugnut should have been a leader class figure, I doubt we'll see a LC Blackout.

So does this mean that Rod is going to challenge OP for leadership he looks very young? And why does Spitter look like a bot with no personality

Only Rodimus has anything resembling a 'standard' face. But hey, maybe Derrick is taking those chin complaints that happend back when the show first premiered to heart.

Rodimus is not really working that tiny nose and I never was keen on the movie aesthetic, but that's all I have bad to say about the designs! I'm looking forward to seeing 'em on the show! Spittor is definately an interesting one...and Roddy looks like he's got 'holster hips'.

Rodimus - yea! Want toy! So glad he's in animated at last. Not quite sure about the eyeliner look around his optics but otherwise I love it.

Strika and Blackout - very cool, though Strika looks like the love child of Lugnut and Blitzwing, for some reason I picture her being voiced by Bumber doing his best impersonation of Irma Bunt from the James Bond film From Russia with Love. Still she's very much her BM counterpart. And Blackout was one of the cooler cons from the movie. Can't wait to see these too.

Spittor - meh, so he's a frog-bot, maybe he'll be fun but I don't care at all for him yet given the RID character he's based on, still looking forward to seeing what they do with him though

Awesome designs. Definenlty hope some of these guys get more than a few seconds of screen time as it would be such a waste of generally well designed characters. Not to mention increasing the fact that they could get toys at some point...

Rodimus looks really awesome, but I hope they keep him a futuristic sports car... seriously, let's just forget he ever became a 'space winibago'.

Blackout looks awesome and looks as though he'll be one of the largest Decepticons in the series. I personally love how they stylized it, but still managed to incorporate some of the movie elements into his design.

Spittor... is probably the least interesting of the three. Hopefully we'll see a bot mode at some point, but he definently looks good so far.

Stryka looks pretty spot on to her BM self. Just done in the Animated style. Really digging her and hoping she sticks around sense she's such a different take on female Transformers compared to the usual.

I think that is his robot mode, similar to movie Skorpinok or the animal Casettecons.

Rodimus has date rape face.

Rodimus look pathetic, and what, no Jay Leno ultra chin to go with him.
And Blackout has too much of the 2007 movie face. (Not of our beloved movie Blackout though)

Blackout: is a great homage to his movie version really digging him.

Spittor: I don't like maybe its because I don't really anything know about him, if he's from BW I did not follow BW (sorry)

Strika: I understand she is for the BW series and I really like her, I would like her more if she look just a little more feminine? (not alot just a little) she still needs to look like she doesn't take any shit.

Now this leaves Rodimus Prime: This dude looks more like Hot Rod than Rodimus. He does not say I am a leader (look at Sentinal and Optimus for an examples of leaders). Hell I'll follow Bumble Bee before I follow this dude. Don't get me wrong I love the drawing from the neck down, but his facial expression kills me (maybe I am over sensitive but I a Rodimus fan.) His expression does not say I arrogant like he is in the Energon series, does it. Also look at his face in the toy like, if I could read his mind it looks like he is saying don't F*** with me. Please I beg you to fix this flaw before the start of season 3.

I'm sorry if I put just a little too much heart in this, but I can't let this happen to him.

Liking Blackout a lot, really good take on the Movie version... look forward to seeing what the toy of this is like.

Rodimus doesn't look... Rodimus enough. He should at least have a smile on his face. Then again, since Bumblebee plays the part of the cocky young upstart in this series, perhaps New Roadimus (reference to the Headmasters dub) is like Droopy Dog.

But I still think his face should be all "Awesome! Radical! Bodacious! Reaganomics!"

Strika.... A fembot.... Oh Helllllllls No.

Spittor is neat. They managed to get around having to give him an actual beast mode

And Blackout is awesome. When they said he looked like a beetle, I was afraid that he would be a beastformer, nice to see that he's still a helicopter

Well I must say this designs look great, from the first and second season with Soundwave, Grimlock, and so many others you could tell these guys were really working in the homages for the characters and seeing Blackout and Strika, you easily see where they're coming from, I really like the insect route they took with Blackout and I dont mind the tiny head, makes him look...more intimidating hehe. Strika looks as butch as ever , a good thing mind you =). And as for Rodimus I honestly dont mind him looking more Hot Rodish, I honestly perfer this than Rodimus Prime, since he has to look younger than Optimus. Since Optimus was a "wash out" from the academy and Sentinal Prime made it, I picture Rodimus being that prodigy that at a young age made it to prime status yet isn't such a jerk to Optimus about it. And as for his face, look at when we first saw Jazz

He's frowning there, doesn't mean he's not his cool talking, Jazzy self as we saw when he appeared in the episodes. Just cause Rodimus has a serious face doesn't mean he'll be that way, they just put that face as a basis to start from. lol

Well if they stick to g1 continuity, Rodimus will be a war-weary veteran complaining about how "tired of war" he is and how Optimus... well in this case, Ultra Magnus, was a better leader then him. The designs fits him really well.

Spittor has a very interesting alt. mode, I was wondering how they'd make him into a frog when organic Cons are... non-existent save BA. Very nice to have him as a mechanic frog monster/AT-FROG-T. I think he transforms by the cannons becoming the legs, and the monster legs becoming the arms (long arms like his BW namesake), while the head will be hidden inside the frog mouth.

Never like Movie Blackout, but this version is cool. I wonder what he transforms into, but sure enough he's armed to the proverbial teeth...

Strika is spot-on, I never liked the BM toy, but if she gets an Animated toy, I'll buy it.

Btw, seeing people's assumption - you are all aware these guy will feature for like, 5 minutes? Maybe battling each other before being killed by, who knows, Animated Unicron?

I'm sure though that we'll see more of them in the Animated Comics. After all, the new UK comic will feature Sideswipe (most likely) this month...
