they updated their blog with this (guessing for the Animated Menasor) http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-I7REfP2V1D...00/menace2.jpg and this text : We know we know... it is not as much as we would liked to have given. Trust us, if we could we would have it for sell right now. This project is a huge undertaking, especially for designers that can only work on this part time. So far here is some info: The set will be limited to at max 1,500 sets. BBTS and Toyarena.com will be our US distributers. We are looking to have a full prototype complete by October.
That actually looks pretty neat. Don't think it looks Animated-styled enough though.
i know its still early, but not feeling much of an animated vibe yet. looks like a quick sketch too as both sides of the head are not the same, the right goes slim and down and the left is large and sticking straight out. i cant see many ppl excited over that drawing alone.
I see a lot of customizers bashing this.....wonder what that all about?
This is not the update you are looking for. While I certainly hope their progress on this project is moving along, I wish their "marketing" would be better. Reveal more please!
How do we know that showing this, so in a week when the 3D renderings or other things surface, it keeps talk going.| I think it's just announcing something, without showing anything. Also if they expect to have a full prototype by October, they would have something more to show, especially when everyone is working part time. Granted all they are doing is connecting parts, but still. As someone who explored taking on something like this, I know that it is a significant investment in money with a huge amount of risk. Not to mention time. It's a business and to announce anything in this manner does not give me confidence. The piece count? The day they hope to have a prototype? This is all back of the house details that should be bullet points, not headlines. |

oooh! the one with the smokestack antennae gets my vote! i love that!! looks to be the most "creative" i think, which fits the Animated design MO i think. A lot of characters are based on archetypes and caricatures and "stereotypes." Something designed along those lines would fit the best in my opinion! The others just seem kinda "im trying real hard to be geewun homage" to me ![]() but yeah! smokestack guy! he gets my vote ![]()
