Our Transformers Toy Galleries have been updated! 2005 Boards photo staff member SydneyY has uploaded a new gallery for our Transformers Animated Toy Galleries - this time, we've got a gallery of Animated Elite Guard Optimus Prime for you. This piece was a Million Publishing mail-in exclusive, available by sending in a coupon found in the Japanese Transformers Animated Encyclopaedia book. The toy represents a what-if situation where Optimus Prime had stayed on and joined the Elite Guard instead of taking command of that fateful Spacebridge repair crew - and looks very sharp in red and black.

Animated toys photograph so well, only series I love taking pics of the back of the figure. Can't say the same for BW Neo even though I love those shellformers

I know what you mean, I wasn't sure about that insignia, either. Eyes tend to be drawn to it when looking at the pictures. When you have the toy in hand, it's not that distracting at all

^He looks very sharp in person, a deeper shade of maroon/ red. So awesome.
And yeah SydY, I totally agree that for some weird reason, Animated toys just love being in the spotlight and are somewhat 'photogenic'.
