2005 Boards member Masabon has shared with us some scans from the 150th edition of Figure King (also known as Figure-Oh or Figure-Ou). This edition focuses on the August releases of the Transformers Animated toys - showing different images to the previously shown official images. Here, all of Rodimus' plastic is shown in the same color, and Sunstorm's chrome is noticeably brighter.
There is also a retrospective on the many Transformers series, a brief coverage of Botcon 2010, and a full run down of all the Transformers Celebration 2010 items including the two newly revealed entries into the series, reissue Predaking and Masterpiece Rodimus Convoy.

We have a new opening sequence for the Transformers: Animated (Japan). The original Transformers EVO song is replaced by the latter part of the same song.
Type-R of 2005 Boards who first reported the news said…
“This week's episode of Animated in Japan features an updated version of the OP with a new segment (time stamp 1:27) replacing the Starscream clones salute in front of Cybertron mode Megatron from the original.
The new version shows Soundwave, Electrostatic Soundwave, Laserbeak and Swindle transforming in front of Megs in helicopter mode. Instead of Slipstream, this time Megs (in earth bot mode) is flanked by 2 Cybertron mode Blackouts!
The final big bad that Optimus flies up to fight at the end is still shrouded so I guess it's not earth mode Megs since he was already shown earlier in the OP. Possibly a Lugnut Supreme then.”

Takara-Tomy have updated their website with a selection of new items, including two updates for the Transformers 2010 campaign - the page for the Henkei Sons of Cybertron set, available at CharaHobby 2010, has gone live. Predaking has also been officially announced for the 2010 campaign, with an image of him added to the main 2010 Campaign page. A page for the Transformers Museum Event and the exclusive Black Animated Optimus Prime available there has also gone live.
Also in this update are new pages for the August releases in the Japanese Transformers Animated line from Takara Tomy. These include: - TA-33 Rodimus, who features a Generation 1 cartoon accurate shiny maroon finish.
- TA-34 Samurai Prowl, who is largely the same as his US release with the exception of a full color Autobot symbol and possibly some small additional paint applications.
- TA-35 Sunstorm, who follows along the lines of Skywarp and Starscream with a shiny finish on his nose and wings, although the difference between this application and the rest of him does not seem to be as pronounced as on Starscream.
- TA-36 Swindle, who features an additional full color Decepticon symbol, as well as some extra silver paint applications and what appears to be a silver barrel for his arm cannon.
- TA-37 Waspinator, who features some extra silver on his insect head.
- Cybertron Mode Optimus Prime VS Deluxe Cybertron Mode Megatron set. This set has both toys feature metallic finishes, just like their larger releases. According to the URL, this is the "VS-F" set, bizarrely being released after "set G", also known as Safeguard.
Click on the links above to check out each of the updated pages.

The Tokyo Toy Show 2010 is now on, and Takara-Tomy have their Transformers display in full force with lots of new products! Highlights include:
- Wing Blade Optimus Prime - armor will have a metallic finish, while the Voyager Optimus Prime toy appears to be a crystal version.
- The next Transformers Animated Lucky Draw will be a gold chrome version of Cybertron Mode Megatron.
- Rodimus - will be more of a maroon, closer to the Generation 1 Animated Movie Rodimus colors. Looks very sharp.
- Also looking sharp, Hydrodive or "Jet Pack" Bumblebee, who keeps up the trend of shiny gold Bumblebees in the Japanese Transformers Animated line.
- Japanese Animated Samurai Prowl, Leader Bulkhead and Ironhide are all on display. Leader Bulkhead has some very nice weathering applications to distinguish him from his Hasbro release.
- Autobot Alliance line was also on display - Takara-Tomy's version of Battle Blades Optimus Prime will come with the hooks rather than the swords. The Takara Sidearm Sideswipe will not feature the red applications from the US version. Elita-1, the Arcee redeco, was also on show.
- EZ Collection Volume 5 was also on show. Contrary to our previous report, all eight toys in the set are redecos of their previous releases - Rampage and Long Haul are depicted in yellow, while Optimus Prime is decoed mainly in black for the combination with Jetfire. Skids and Mudflap are colored to resemble their Ice Cream Truck mode. Lastly, Scorponok is in his Striker Scorponok colors and Brawl is in his desert camo colors.
- Masterpiece Movie Starscream was also shown and looks incredibly nice! He does not have the tattoos of the US Leader version, making this version a closer match for his 2007 incarnation.
- As previously reported, a Predaking reissue was announced for the 2010 Celebration series. These new images confirm some of the paint application upgrades, including what appears to be a shiny finish on Razorclaw's lion head. You can also get a better look at the box.
- Alternity Thundercracker was also shown.
These images come to you from Snakas' blog, the AmiAmi blog, and the lion's share with the best and clearest images are all courtesy of 2005's very own Tekmen! Check them all out by clicking on the title of this story.

Sega of Japan has gone live with their website for their two new Transformers Animated Japan themed arcade games - Transformers Animated The Chase, and Transformers Animated the Shooting. With every 100 yen game, the machines dispense a collector card which can be used to power up your characters in game. The cards themselves have photos of the Transformers Animated toys - including a group of new toy-repaints who have not been announced yet anywhere in the world! There are also some better looks at a couple of upcoming toys namely Rodimus, Waspinator and Swindle. The new toys shown off are Midnight Jazz (black redeco of Animated Jazz), Super Sonic Blurr (redeco of Blurr with red highlights instead of two-tone blue), Chromia (blue redeco of Arcee) and Blackarachnia Elita-1 Version (Animated Blackarachnia in Generation 1 Elita-1's pink colors). At this time it is unknown if these were created for the game only, or if they might see release somewhere.
The games also feature a selection of Generation 1 cards, all of which - bar one - are based on the Takara-Tomy Masterpiece Transformers series. The only exception to this is the card for Generation 1 Soundwave who is based on his original Generation 1 toy. Read into this what you will.
