| Upcoming Binaltech Figures Shown at Shizouka Hobby Show |
| Posted on 05-16-2008 at 08:01 AM by Tim Formas | | At the recent Shizuoka Hobby Show in Japan, the four upcoming, announced Transformers Binaltech figures were on display by TakaraTomy. Shown to the public were BT-19 Bluesteak, BT-20 Agent Mesiter, BT-21 Arcee, and BT-22 Convoy in final colors. There was also a sign with a silhouette of a car, teasing the next Binaltech figure after these four. The car silhoutette looks quite a bit like a Honda Civic, which means a Binaltech Rumble or Frenzy may be coming in the near future. For two pictures from the show, click on the image to the left.

Binaltech Agent Meister, Bluestreak, Convoy and Arcee in final colours on display.
There's also a card with the words "Next Transformer Coming Soon..." and the sillhouette of a car. I wonder if this means a new BT mold is in the works.
EDIT: The sillhouetted car looks like it might be the US Honda Civic. BT Rumble or Frenzy to come?

It looks like Arcee will indeed be using the Windcharger head sculpt. The colours look much better than the retailer order form photoshopped mock up. No sign of the Paradron Medic colour variant.
The only colour difference between BT Convoy and KP Convoy appear to be the blue eyes and red arms and blue fists.

huh....kinda looks like the new Nissan GTR from a profile. I'd love to see Nissan get into the Binaltech lines. I honestly think since the movies runaway sucess, that every car manufacturer wants dib in. Well except Porsche and VW.....wussies. Let's make a Bugatti Veyron, then let's see how fast we get a porsche jazz...lol

I am getting really bored with Alternators/Binaltech because we haven't seen a new mold in years. I have the other 3 and Arcee is not appealing right now Railguard:

Green convoy definitely wasn't an indication of die-cast, as there's no way several of the green marked parts are zinc.
I'm a little annoyed I forked out for a Black Convoy because I wanted a die-cast prime. Ah well. Maybe I'll sell my old Alt prime and pick up this new one to replace him.

Just trying to sort of approximate some kind of Honda Civic silhouette comparison here (not very good with Photoshop).
Either Frenzy or a new mold would be fine by me.

I must say they do look very nice despite being remolds and repaints. The blue on Convoy looks especially nice. The white and pink plastic on Arcee look rather cheap but her colour scheme works quite well.

The only one of these I wanted anyway was Arcee. If they do Rumble/Frenzy, I'll buy that too.

I pre-ordered these when they were first announced. Arcee looks much better than the initial photoshop pic. I may cancel Convoy, since I already have an Alt. Prime.
If Takara makes the Civic in blue, I'll be all over that! I can't wait to get these!

Heck Yeah!... I was really disappointed when they originally canceled the original run of BT-Convoy, and I wasn't about to pay more for the stupid painted alts kiss-players figures. I thought that this line was dead it's definitely good news actually seeing that Convoy/Prime will indeed be released. Hmm I guess I may order Valkfan's Ironhide head for my alt now Tekkaman Blade:
Since arcee has no new head, I' definately not buying her. Minerva would have been a better choice for that mold anyway, It doesn't even lppk female, give us a ne mold for the female characters.

I kind of got it in my head when I saw the preview photos that the final deco would probably have that Diaclone look, since it seemed like they were angling it in that direction anyway; somehwat absurdly, why else would you make Bluestreak blue? So I am a bit disappointed because it seemed the logical way to go.
On another note, is it just me or in TFormers' closeups of Meister, does it look like his thighs and arms are white?

I bought every single one of them all the way up through BTA, but once they lost the die-cast with the Kiss Players, I just resorted to Alternators. I won't cancel my preorder, but doh, I thought it was a green Convoy too. I'll let the order stand as I never bought KP Convoy. Arcee sans a new head still looks okay in those colors, Jazz looks sweet anf I think Angel Magnus has some good ideas for Bluestreak. It will be good getting Die Cast BTs again.
