Oh Japan, You and your wacky stories!
Blitz.:
omfg so I'm not sure if I'm reading this right but...

Alternity convoy exists in multiple dimensions at the same time and that's why he has the different colours...

While the body is limited his true self can bend the laws of physics to his own will.

he can time travel to any point in time apart from stuff before 07 when they want to go their they need a little help.

when he wants to time travel he generates a race track of light in the sky.

he has some sort of device that can replace any mechanical object that breaks.

His force field does not simply shied him from fire it totally takes him out of time and space.

He has some sort of Continuity retcon detector. (that must be flipping the f**k out right now)

GUNS THAT CAN FIRE INTO THE PAST (totally not over powered)

oh and he is totally green in that he can generate power from the very movements of the planet.

I can only imagine Vector Prime's reaction to these timespace hoppers. ("Kids these days, no respect for the fabric of reality...")

I assume it has nothing to do with mine, which involves giggling, "Heee...Hyperion is Unicron's daddy!"

I don't think even Pink Floyd's gonna help this story make more sense. And they're usually good at making Aqua Teen Hunger Force make sense.
Onion Pax83:
It's not that weird when u consider what else the japanese have given us, i.e the mushroom eating plumber who burbs fireballs and fights against monkey for a princess.
Onion Pax83:
Btw, just asking but could some-one do a photoshop of alternity convoys head merged with movie sideswipes chassis?

Yep, jump the shark, nuke the fridge rubbish. Makes Kiss Play continuity look almost resaonable. Almost.
Chris McFeely:
As head-screwing as a good chunk of it is, a lot of this HAS been progressively set up in the Binaltech storyline over the last two years or so. The whole "Alternity" concept - a multiversal evolution of the Transformer form which grew out of Binaltech technology - was introduced back in Black Convoy's Binaltech story chapter, and the Timaeus drive and the whole "closed racetrack/space-time loop" thing was established in Arcee's only a few months ago.

... So he's the TF equivalent of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann?
Sage:
The only thing that could make that write-up cooler would be for it to be read aloud by Jack Black.

Pure awesomeness.

Yeah, they can have him use that voice over that he used when doing the promotional commercials for Kung Fu Panda: "Many years into the future, ancient Cybertronians..."
Omega Supreme-1:
This is...unique? I guess. It's sort of a lose connection to Binaltech right? Well, said fiction is not as important as the quality of the figures themselves.

The last thing I want from Jack Black is for him to even be INVOLVED with ANY Transformers continuity. Who the hell would want a shirtless, hairy, screaming gorilla with ADHD to voice a 'bot? Amirite?

I don't know... his voice work is about the only thing I've ever cared for. I absolutely loved Kung Fu Panda.

when is he coming out because i want him!!!!!!!!1

He lacks the drills, so no.

I suspect in this case fiction quality in inverse to toy quality.

Also I anticipate what godhaxxing Megatron will have. Probably swords made of folded space-time made of MORE folded-space time. Made of BLACK HOLES.

Made of SUNS.

Yes, and his ultimate attack will be: "TIME FOLD SPACE MEGA BLACK HOLE SOLAR SLASH OF DOOM!" And, as you're struck by the awesome power, not only will you die in the present, but in the past and any alternate dimension or future reality as well... and, yes, even your ancestors will feel it...
SPLIT LIP:
So, God-hax + infinity able-to-do-anything?

Wait, what? this should be cool but really it's just unfathomably confusing.

Seriously, when's Japan going to reach the point where they just can't make these guy's any more powerful? Yet with all their power, they have the most characterless personalities.

Now watch Alternity Megatron just be Megs wearing an Alternity costume and holding swords he found on the side of the road. His main attack is shouting at you.

"GET OFF MAH LAWN!" I could see that happening.
Kickback:
And people wonder why Transformers fails every year in Japan.
Darkwing48:
You guys are being too harsh. Just think of them as Additional Vector Prime bots.

APV has time. Around 50 years to get to Detroit and make his cameo.

OK ... I have no idea what the "continuity classification system" ... and I've been a member of the club since day one. Care to elaborate or point me to a tfwiki link with the info?

Thanks Chris!

EDIT: great article BTW.

Fit For natalie:
I always wondered why Japanese-original TF fiction tends to treat the TFs as rather characterless superheroes.
delta7890:
This is one of the most amazing things I've ever read, and it finally convinced me to get this guy.
