The plucky young yellow Autobot joins Optimus Prime (Convoy) and Megatron in the Alternity line this November as a Suzuki Swift. As with Convoy and Megatron, two versions will be available - Champion Yellow and Red Pearl. The red version is a likely shout-out to Cliffjumper, Bumblebee's fellow Minibot and in more recent times red repaint of Bumblebee.
If you are a fan of the original Transformers from 1984, then there is something for you too - hot on the heels of Encore 18, Skids, is the 19th release in the Encore line - Cassette Big Mission 3, which includes reissues of Rumble, Frenzy, Overkill and Laserbeak! Donald Duck can quack off but bumblebee, cliffjumper and the cassetticons look cool (didn't soundwave come with laserbeak though?)
can only see myself getting bumblebee (maybe get cliffjumper if they give him a different head or the red looks nicer than the yellow.)
EDIT after going on the car website the red pearl version looks awesome. looks like that version will be the one I go for.

This is awesome news that Bumblebee is a Nissan branded vehicle. That means the line wasn't just a release specific to pimping Nissan cars. Which means this line could potential see MANY more figures in it now that the door has been opened to more than just the 2 initially announced figures. SWEET!
Donald transforming into Herbie is awesome. No doubt we will get a Herbie paint scheme AND a Bumblebee paint scheme at some point.

This happened because about 2 months ago I finally got Frenzy and about 4 weeks ago I got Rumble....! I am happy to see these guys; and Overkill is a nice bonus. Now, bring on the Dino and Combiner cassettes!

Alternity BB? Awesome, sold! The vehicle mode is good enough given VW's stance on TFs. It's also quite similar to Classic BB's alt mode.
And... Rumble? Frenzy? Holy crap, instant buy! I understood the molds for these were long-gone? Did Takara find them or were these reverse-engineered?

I'm surprised BB doesn't have any stripes on his car, seeing as almost every iteration of him during the TF movie production process had a stripe on him somewhere. It's not meant to be taken as a negative. It's just good to see a solid color BB.

Rumble and Frenzy FTW!! I just posted about this yesterday (Bayformers' G1 counterpart getting the Encore treatment). Shows how much we know regarding rumors of lost/broken molds, or what Takara can/will bring back from the dead
HOWEVER, just how many f*cking Laserbeaks do we need?! There was the TRU "Classics" Soundwave a few years back, it came with Encore Soundwave, the SDCC Soundwave (w/ Ravage, Buzzaw and Ratbat). And if you want to include Buzzsaw, mold-wise...
I still have my vintage Overkill, not sure how desperate I am for those other two. Really on the fence...

Sweetness. I wasn't expecting Alternity to put out a Bumblebee, and by default a Cliffjumper, so this is quite nice a surprise. That said, I can't wait to get my hands on them.

Fuckin' right! I'm definately going to pick up Alternity Bumblebee. I've been wondering what Bumblebee I was going to get to display as a Masterpiece/Alternator BB.
On a side note, These Disney Label TFs are a perfect gift for my mother-in-law. She loves Disney stuff, and I think this would be a good way to share my love of transformers with her, and it still be something she loves too.

Where does everyone get their sources exactly? I don't believe any of the molds are lost, or can't be reproduced they are just toys. Takara/Hasbro can put out anything they want at any point. All just rumors about transformer molds being lost, and everyone believes the hype and speculation. Every few months it seems like we get one of these myths busted when an new encore is announced. Just a matter of time before Wheeljack and the dinobots are reissued.

Awesome news. Alternity Megatron just arrived, and I was already wondering if there'd be any more this year, besides the awesome Diamond Black repaint Megs.
Glad they've changed up the bot mode appearance for BB, and have another car manufacturer on board; that's encouraging for the series as a whole.

The Alternity design & engineering is such a great step on from BTs, it's superb. This series is up there with the Masterpiece line - I find I much prefer these to my BTs/KPs, Alt Megatron particularly. More similarly distinctive robot designs please, Takara.
