| Takara Tomy Website Updated with MP1-B Convoy Black Version |
| Posted on 08-22-2009 at 08:23 AM by Sol Fury | | Takara Tomy have updated their website with a page for Masterpiece MP1-B Convoy Black Version. This redeco of the Masterpiece Convoy / 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime pays tribute to the long line of black repaint Convoys. These new images show off Convoy's accessories in more detail, including a red Energon Axe, a black and red Matrix, and a darker, more metallic version of the Megatron gun. Check out all the new images by clicking on the title of this story.

Y'know, I don't own the MP Convoy mold, and though I'd rather get a Prime to go with my Megatron than a Nemesis Prime, hmm...this thing is like what, $105 plus shipping? Would it be cheaper to go for this or track down MP01?

I'd say track down the "Classics" packaged 20th Anniversary DVD MP Prime. That's the one I have and it's probably the cheapest Prime mold to get right now. I like the colors on it a bit more too, which was actually the main reason I went with it.

So for those that wanted the trailer, could just buy that. Which left a cheaper Convoy for sale as well.

Autobase Aichi suggests the probability of Asian release. Is it common that eHobby exclusives get general release in Asia?

I'm skeptical, I have never heard of ehobby stuff being sold by anyone else other than themselves or reissued.I think it just might be iGear releasing the mini MP KO in black or just mis-translated for the Black trailer they're going to release.
