Damn Im behind on my alternitys! Have to still get black megatron AND cliff!. Might just wait to see who the third repaint of these guys will be...

What a difference a few months makes.

I loathed Alternity Starscream's color scheme, head sculpt and 4 eyes initially but I'm really diggin' his look now. Even more so than Skywarp which I originally preferred.

Love the beast-like head sculpts on these two. Starscream's looks cobra-esque while Skywarp's seems bat-like.

So uh. This is awesome and all. But there's one Japanese car that demands the Alternity treatment.



EVO IS NO. 1.

The car that's so awesome it's worth repeating twice!

Still greatly dislike Starscream. Skywarp is better, I don't know why, so I will probably get that one.

Now these I will be spending my money on! Good thing I will be saving money on most of the US releases!(ahhumm...powercore combiners and more Bumblebees)

Word. The Roadbot Evo was not great.

I've been staying away from Alternity, but Starscream and Skywarp look too good to pass up. I may get Megatron eventually as well.

I wonder if they'll ever do another WRX Transformer? I loves me those.

The box art is pretty darn good. They don't necessarily look a whole lot like their character names but I do appreciate the effort into stepping outside the box with this line. I just wish they stuck to the Samurai inspirations a bit more.

Maybe they could do an Alternity Ironhide that borrowed that look.

Skywarp's face reminds me of a cat, lol.

Skywarp looks great. Can't to get him next month.

Yeah but the EVO isn't a Nissan or part of the Nissan motor group.

I like the skywarp, love the headsculpt on him (it's a nice different rendition of a seeker head), but I still hate the color - SW is not purple.

Neither is the Suzuki Swift or Mitsuoka Orochi.

Alternity might have seemed like "Nissan Label" with the first 2 designs but they've since moved on.

Based on what is on the main page of TakaraTomy's Alternity site (above blue Megatron), it says (first line): Local (Japanese) automobile mecha designs.

TakTom's plans for Alternity seem to be limited to Japanese cars at the moment but who knows, even that could change down the line.

I still think those two look like crap in any form; alt. or robot. For those who like them; more power to you, but those are admittedly some of the ugliest robots I've ever seen, even more so than the movie designs!

I don't have any of the alternity figures, but I'm considering making Starscream the first I purchase.

Hell yah man, I'm a huge EVO fan and drive a Lancer Ralliart my self and I have been dying for some one to make a kick ass version of an EVO.

Gotta get Skywarp

Starscream = 50-50 for me. Overall not impressed with the design.. so "meh"

Skywarp is a must get, and it's a purple car. Purple. Decepticon colors..
So uhh, the head-sculpt is better IMHO compared to "Snake-Scream's'"..

Wrong! Suzuki, and Nissan share platforms (simalar to Ford and Mazda, or Dodge and Mitsubishi), and Mitsuoka builds their machines on Nissan platforms (like Shelby does with mustangs). So thus far there has been no break from the Nissan family.

Although I will give you that the swift is not a shared platform with Nissan.

Skywarp finally has his OWN head!

He now looks like a flying monkey from the Oz land or sumthing......

Japanese Masterpiece Skywarp had a unique face from Starscream. The US version does not.

I may still get Skywarp. If they put out a TC It would be a instant sale.

Right now I'm just getting Starscream. But yeah, if they made a Thundercracker I'd have to get all three.

You know Tak/Tom will make Alternity Thundercracker if there's enough Yen to made.

IIRC, Takara were quite vocal about difficulties (real or perceived) marketing BTs that turned into non-Japanese cars.

It's essentially cited as one of the reasons the Dodge Ram was Prime and may perhaps also be cited as one of the reasons the line stalled (pun).

I really like these, but more towards Skywarp than SS. Thundercracker should be a must! Hell, bring Sunstorm into the mix.
