New Prototype Images for iGear's IG-PP01C 25rf1uu
A new version of iGear's upcoming IG-PP01 has appeared on chinese message board Actoys. The new "C" variant probably stands for Clear or Crystal, and is another shrunken down, third party, unauthorized reproduction of the Masterpiece Convoy mold. The white stripes on his chest and shoulders will be chromed on the final release version. This variant seems to be a "Art Collection" Magazine exclusive.

Intresting.
sunlink:
What mold is that? Robot Masters?
OMEGAPRIME1983:
Me think tis i-gears down sized mp prime mold. Looks good too.
payton34:
I like it, except for the white stripe on the chest/arms. It would look much better as a silver/gray.

it's not final.it's white because these parts will be chromesilver later.
PoweredConvoy:
Any chance of mirroring these images? Work seems to filter them from their original web host. Thank you.

Lucario Prime:
Nice.
Deadpool.:
Interesting.. Any further details about its release?
Rijie78:
As was already said, looks like a variation for that downsized MP Convoy KO we saw recently.
Fosterlager:
That size will go SO well with my Alternators, and my MP Grimlock.

Not buying the clear one though.
soymonk:
Looks neat. Hopefully this is the real deal. Wonder if Hasbro will be releasing it to mass retail. I get the feeling that if Hasbro released it, it'd be an exclusive figure or something.

Read through the thread a bit. This is a crystalized version a KO. There is no chance at all that Hasbro would release this figure at either mass retail or as an exclusive.

I'm curious to see if this even shows up on iGear's website along side the scaled down Nemesis and Prime. I wonder if someone else got there hands on the mold for an afternoon or something.

I'd buy one of these.. since I'm a sucker.
daelite20:
i would still buy that KO, if the price is right...that would look Kool next to my CRYSTAL CONVOY and NEXUS MAXIMUS..

Stop making rational points about a line I already like and mold, including scaled down, that rocks.

What am I made of money forget it
ORIO:
Eh... not into it. I've never seen the appeal of the clear/crystal figures.

I am a fan of Crystal Pepsi though
David Hingtgen:
Crystal Pepsi Prime would be an awesome variant..
starscream1701:
It's not quite crystal enough for me. The mini-Nemesis Prime MP, however, is of interest.

Its probably by iGears. Since they already showed a Crystal version of the downsized Classics Prime.
KING KONVOY:
Nice! Very Nice! I hope these figures are reasonably priced.
ChrisIzDaShiz:
Cool! I want it.
DrillBIT:
It says when you buy the new magazine "Art Collection" you will receive this limited crystal Convoy.

Skylock:
That looks awesome.

They have it posted on their "Partner Products" page now, so it looks like you were right on the money: iGear Partner Prouducts

IG-PP01C - Not yet on the "order" page though. Do want. Yes. Definitely do. I guess this means it's an "official" KO now? Art Collection Exclusive? Hrm. I wonder what that means in terms of actually getting one.

Looks like its "official" like their Shattered Glass base, which is a magazine exclusive as well.
[Wing_Saber-X]:
Well hello there, my next obsession piece!
poorboy8u:
if only hasbro had the extra scratch to pull this off...either way this is so bought.
Solrac333:
Wow.
Superquad7:
I don't see how iGear will be able to make it all the way to production with this one.
Matterzero:
It's cool and all, but I can't get over the fact that it's directly ripping off on an official mold, and I'm not excited about the price either.
Blitz.:
I gotta say I think this toy is still rather pointless. I mean often the fans ask for large diecast toys and Hasbro delivered. Now a KO is out and its been stripped down and shrunk and some people want to actually pay more for less? I know its kinda in scale with the other MP toys but Transformers has never really been about scale why start now?

well ok I will give you the Alt/BT line and Alternity but that was part of the sales pitch.
Lord Of Tetris:
How much is this selling for? Is he price as outrageous as I expect?

I preordered the solid Optimus colored version and that was $95. Nemesis is actually less. But I don't think they've made a price for the clear one public yet.
sanchomaul:
thats nice. mmmmmmmm!
Razorclaw:
Does anyone know how much will the regular version this undersized masterpieced OP going to cost?

I agree. But the ethics of KOs are a relative thing. It's the cost that gets me with this one. Id much rather spend that kind of cash on a full size MP figure instead of a shrunken down one.

I know it's a fan made piece which costs more to produce, but the way I see it: the smaller the size= the smaller the price.

I'd be very suprised if this goes all the way to full production without Hasbro having something to say one way or another.
Pasaway:
I always like the Crystal Primes, but I already preordered the Nemesis version, so can't afford this one. Unless they want to put it off till next sumnmer.

With all these secondary companies puting out stuff. I often wonder why HasTak doens't open a 3rd devision just to make crap like this for the collectors. The division doesn't have to make a huge profit just brake even. because as soon as it starts, it would put all these others out of business.
TRANS+CRAZY:
Pretty neat. I should consider picking myself up a Crystal Prime.
brr-icy:
not paying twice as much for a smaller KO of a figure i already own, $10-$15 at the most

That does raise the question about how to go about getting them. Are they going to shun the U.S. collectors by making these exclusive, or will they end up making a bunch for their exclusive arrangement in whatever country that is for, and then ship a bunch out elsewhere? Kind of like the FP DIA Commander dealio but without any product changes.

protostar8:

I guess if no action is taken by Hasbro Hong Kong then they can have whatever they want over there.

Turns out the Art Collection magazine is put together by Actoys staff in partnership with TakaraTomy, Beijing Glorious Animation Co..
It will be coming out on 9/20.

Interesting enough that there is a congratulatory message for the magazine from the Head of Asia Business division of TakaraTomy Kuroki Kenichi.

The magazine will include a Transformers poker card set with pictures from Dreamwave comics, and a original soundtrack of the ROTF movie.
Also readers will receive a card with a set of codes. With the codes you could preorder the crystal prime at a very low price from iGear. And 5 lucky readers will be receiving the crystal prime for free. (lucky draw?)

Message about the upcoming Art Collection magazine from Actoys

EDIT:
Pictures of the poker set and scans of the magazine is available at www.kandongman.net
Skywarp181:
Id like to get one of these magazines.
Where do you get them from?
