they look a lot better in color but im still not really sold on the design

OK, that new head on CJ seals the deal. Also, it may be just me but I think the placement of the hood looks better now that these are in color.

Sweet the heads are different! The only other pics we had before were too blurry to tell for sure.

VERY good news.

The black paint apps between the hood and the roof plays tricks with your eyes. It kinda looks like vertical stripes. Vertical strips make people look thinner. BB and CJ took a trip to a fashion consultant apparently.

the head sculpts are cool. but thats about all.

Colour makes 'em look a thousand times better than that drab grey but I still don't want 'em. Easy Pass for me.

I think these both look fantastic. If you forget about the way transformers are usually made, the solid car front piece makes a cool heroic chest/pelvis shape. Cliffjumper looks spectacular. But is it worth over $100 to get them both? Sadly no.

Both look great but I am not sure if they will be a purchase for me.

Not owning the first two Alternity figures, I can't say for certain, but it seems that they took a step backwards in terms of engineering.

Looks better with colors but I can't get over the car's hood. It's like his wearing diapers.

Definately not a must-have like Convoy and Megs were for me... Sadly, easy pass.

I wonder, since these are likely about deluxe-sized, about the possibility of swapping this head on to Classics Cliffjumper. It probably wouldn't work.... but if it did, it would ironically be a cheaper alternative than buying the FansProject upgrade kit. And I think this head looks nicer than that one (actually, of these two Alternity figs, CJ is definitely the winner in head sculpt).

I feel kind of torn with these 2. I don't feel like Prime or Megs were worth the $50 price but I bought all 5 that are out so far because I love Alternators and I feel like these guys can be a line like them but after the disappointment from the first 2 molds I'm wondering if I should hold back on my completist feelings for the line.

I don't remember feeling any remorse from buying any Alternators accept for Windcharger as far as molds go but Decepticharge brought the mold back for me.

I'll most likely buy these 2 because they aren't really bad I'd just rather pay $20-$30 for them. If the next set comes out and they suck I think I'll be done

Back to the pics though... Bumblebee's head looks sweet but Cliffjumper's is really looking like a an oddly fitting helmet that's too big to me

I gotta agree. These 2 do look much better in color. And I really like that they did a new head for Cliffjumper instead of going, "Hey we're doing a red Bumblebee too. We know you'll all just call him Cliffjumper anyway. So why should we bother?"

But why is it that Bumblebee looks like Mr Bean's car in vehical mode?

Don't like the head sculpts, but maybe a head swap with Classics Bumblebee might work.

Man the torso on those figures look horrible.

I actually kinda like the head sculpts.....it's the rest of them that I have issues with.

Okay, based on general skimming of everyone else's comments, I'm totally down with these Alternities just because of the head sculpt. SOLD on it. Why? Finally, a sexy Alternators/Binaltech Cliffjumper and Bumblebee can be realized without crazy head sculpt and/or (imho) a ridiculous repaint of a Streak head mold. That said, I also have no clue on the scale......will it look good for Alt/BT?!? If yes, WIN. If no....dammit.

I wasn't going to get started, but . . . .

. . . . they're not Alternators or Binal Techs. The only reason that retailers and sites still lump them together are that they've been shoehorned into the BT fiction and they have no other place to go. Oh, and they're the same price point the BTs were but they're just a lot smaller.

Alternity goes as well with an Alt/BT as much as a Classics or Universe figure does.

I am sold on Cliffjumper. His head, the color, and the design all work together really well.

It is best to treat Alternity as an entirely separate line. Only so Allen here can sleep easier at night.

I have to think: Do I get this Bumblebee, or do I wait and see if they do a metallic Goldbug for the third version?

Cause it seems so far every Alternity fig (All two of them.) has had three different versions of each. If they do a Goldbug, I'm getting that one.

If it weren't a separate line, I'd be all in too. I want those things in scale with the rest so badly!

Wasn't too keen on getting another 'Bee. I was going for Cliffjumper anyway, but I'm glad he'll have a different headpiece. The chest I can live with.

Kinda still want Bumblebee just for the car. But I'm thinking wait and see if they make Bugbite or some other alternative character.
