I'm hoping something is wrong with the transformation on the feet. I remember thinking the same thing about the Alternity Convoy after looking at his prototype pics. In the end Convoy turned out way better than I thought he would.

Cool stuff! I love the Prime and Megatron Alternity figures..and I see Suzuki Swifts on the road daily, so this appeals to me some more. I do think the robot chest is too big, and his head sculpt ' too cool' for a Bumblebee, but the proportions of the body do make him look smaller and more 'kidlike'..I like that.

Sweet. I'm liking the Suzuki mold much more than the GT-R and Z molds. It's always a welcome change when a BT/Alternity design doesn't have the tired old "front of car as chest and doors as wings/shoulder armor" look.
I'm also digging Bumble(bee)'s head sculpt and his twin pistols.

I'm sorry but IMO, that Suzuki Alternity bot-mode just
doesn't look right. That is gonna be an easy pass for me.

BB... I want to say its a bit miss-transformed since I look at his body and I think if you could position the legs slightly closer at the hips it would be fine... but looking at the CGI concept art I'd say I was wrong. But I'm willing to give the toy a chance since they stuck to their guns with the G1 body and in an odd way I kinda like the clunkly factor.
Donald I dont care about.

As to Alternity BB; The conceptual art for him was an instant buy, this prototype is an easy pass.
That item is hardly worth the effort. It sort of shocks me that it has such care in its head, arms and legs only to be complete fail in the torso department. I'm hoping there's some for of mechanism in play that allows the chest to slide in a bit, or something similar. If not, then the bulging chest that sticks out rediculously far was very played down in the concept image.
It's simply stopped stroking me.

Personally I think the Suzuki Swift mold should have been used for skidz and made in blue. That way I wouldnt be umming and ahhing as I already have Classics BB and CJ.

I really want to love Alternity Bumblebee but these pics are making it hard for me to do so. The Suzuki Swift mode is both appropriate and very cool but good golly that giant chest is terrible.

Wow, besides the cool head sculpt this has fail written all over it. That hood and roof completely ruin it for me.
For a $50-$60 Deluxe, this is a joke. Go on eBay and get yourself a Classics Bumblebee for $30 tops.
Hopefully this shows that Takara was not planning on a Masterpiece BB anytime soon...

We have seen early protos that ended up having changes before release (MP Starscream comes to mind). Perhaps the doors and hood will end up folding away a bit better in the final release.

Sadly, it was probably someone's active decision to make him look like this, to hearken back to his G1 Chubbster VW look. I can't imagine why else they'd make something so bizarrely stumpy and fat.

On a brighter note, Donald's beaks apparently open/close to imitate quacking. I must resist...otherwise I know I'll end up getting Micky as well...

I was hoping that BB would still have that "niceguy" look that they managed to keep for the Classics version. Dont like the big horns, guns, and lack of expression. Its too bad since the vehicle mode really works for the character. Maybe a head swap with Classics Bumblebee will do the trick.
