On display at the convention is the upcoming Alternity GT-R Convoy (silver version) in all his glory. Also shown was a dazzling red and orange "Exile Perfect Year 2008" rendition of the Convoy IPod docking station, a very cool display showing off all of the Transformers Henkei toys alongside the original G1 versions of the characters, and an equally awesome Masterpiece Thundercracker display.
Nevermore of our 2005 Boards also informs us that the Henkei Stuntron Wildrider, exclusive to the C3XHobby Convention, has been released. This cool repaint of Henkei Hot Rod(imus) also has a clever pun in its name - while most Transformers Henkei releases are called "Henkei! Henkei! Transformers" (literally, Transform! Transform! Transformers" Stuntron Wildrider is "Gentei! Gentei! Transformers" (literally, "Limited Edition! Limited Edition").

Ok, first of all...awesome pics!
The pic of MP Thundercracker transforming in multiple stages of transformation is awesome! I am still getting him!
Alternity figure looks pretty badass too. I can't tell, is that a finished product? Can't tell if it's silver and it's supposed to look like that, or it's all gray because it's a prototype of some sorts. Can't wait to see the red version.
And red IPOD Prime? Seems like some sort of exclusive. I still want the G1 painted IPOD, but they're too expensive.

wow, the nissanamus prime looks awesome, but im really not crazy about a tf line smaller than movie bumblebee selling for binaltech prices (im kinda shocked everyone else is taking it so well too, oh well) but definite props on the design (minus the back unless they add a extra hinge)

The early pre-orders when the figure was first announced also mistranslated the katakana. It was translated into something like "baburian red" iirc.

That Convoy is so mine. The Henkei and G1 displays are brilliant. The Thundercracker display is a pure win. No doubt Alternity Convoy and Thundercracker will be on the "Waste my Money" list. Cannot wait.

echoing other peeps here, i agree. the g1 and henkei display is pretty dope.
as far as convoy the silver looks nice but i'll be preordering the vibrant red version. the same pics over and over of the prototype on the forums reminds me that this final, if it is final, paint job is too reminisce of the prototype. i'd almost feel ripped off. no offense to anyone of course who prefers the silver version.

The Alternity Prime is just beautiful. I can't wait to see how the red one is painted up. For those who can't accept he is a car, why are you so stuck in 1984? It's about time Prime is something slick and fast. Also for those who find the $50.00 price tag hefty, well it may be but it's quality over quantity. I'd rather pay $50.00 for one well made and detailed robot than two of those terrible US Voyager Universe figures, Powerglide and Silverbolt. If you can spend $25.00 each on those hunks of plastic than I think this figure is worth the $50.00. Again, quaility over quantity.

I don't even normally get excited or even interested in japanese toys.
But alternity convoy is grand. Me grimwing want hasbro repaints of that.
(perhaps this particular binaltech when its convenient)
Its nice to see takara is going to push forward more new molds for binaltech.
perhaps given the mold and those to follow hasbro shall reawaken alternators.
Hasbro has been mentioning the fanbase for alternators a few times at conventions and have been keeping it a possibility. Maybe next year.

I heart that MP-7 display. I'm surprised we've still not seen anything from the next MP mold. I certainly didn't expect such from this con, but something would be cool. Regardless, it's gonna be cool to have the 3 Seekers here soon
The G1/Henkei display looks great as well. Like Nevermore, I'm surprised to see the G1 Jetfire on display. Hmm . . .

The silver version is because of Nissan, so that they'll allow TakTom to make the red version. Just like Mazda and Honda. Nissan may well have also had requirements regarding the GT-R's signature roofline, resulting in the figure's backpack.
Suddenly my BTs and Alts seem blocky in comparison. Been staring at those pictures for the last hour...

While I had zero interest in Alternity Prime initially, those pics are quite awesome! I'm still not sure if I want a single figure that isn't part of a serie, but the toy look like a total winner Actually love the all silver model, it doesn't evoke anything "Prime", wich might be a good thing

I just put the pre-o in at bbts after seeing these pics. I want them all! I just don't know where to display him if it's the only one produced. Doubt it though. I can see one-off the silly nike shoe design but sweet ass cars are what tf's are to me. Maybe they'll be more from just Nissan, which would also be cool by me. Then we'll have the Chevy faction and then the Nissan faction. Speaking of factions, where will the autobot symbol go on this guy?

Alternity Convoy actually looks pretty cool. If it was somehow brought over here by Hasbro, I'd consider getting it. The Orange Ipod Convoy....well....it's unique. Not something I would get. If they were to bring the regular version of it over, I'd consider it.

Alternity Convoy is very pretty. Not too sure if it'll be my cup of tea, given Takara's penchant in their own market for making toys incredibly annoyingly complicated and fiddly (and with metal).
Kinda surprised at the calls of "OMG MASSIVE BACK KIBBLE!" though. People must be getting spoiled by some of those unusually clean Animated designs or something, or haven't looked at the back of ... pretty much every Alternators/Binaltech toy ever made ... in a while. |
