Binaltech is still going!? How is this possible? And if so, they'd better come up with a reason as to why Jazz is now in his sleek movie colors.

Are those KOs or official Binaltechs? I though Binaltechs and Alts are dead?

Are we sure about this? I mean, it's not hard to do a KO. Plus the Japanese pics from the show didn't have any pics of these.

I could be wrong but i think these are KO's. We've already seen the grey Jazz KO on the forums.

I love the Alt/BT line and dont want to see it end yet but if these are official Has/Tak creations, They could have released new characters as repaints rather than already released characters.

How many KOs do you know that have preorder sheets in Japanese?

Last time they turned out a Binaltech from the Impreza mold quite a few had a problem with parts not lining up correctly, suggesting the mold was damaged.

I'm skeptical about this one being any improvement.

Which brings me to something else:

Was it said before that Alternators and Binaltechs are made from different molds due to differences in molding plastic and molding diecast?

If that's the case, considering that BTA Alert had pretty obvious QC problems, and Alt Ricochet didn't, i'm wondering if that could be taken as evidence that these two are going to be predominantly plastic?

This is the first thing I thought upon seeing the news. I wouldn't mind seeing an 06-07 STi, but the 2008 is butt-ugly.

They made a 2004 WRC version of Smokescreen in that year, but never used that retool again, for some reason.

Anywho, if they're going for a movie accurate paint-job on Meister, his helmet needs to be silver and his faceplate needs to be black. Otherwise its just the Geewun head...again.

I never claimed to. All i'm saying is it's highly unlikely we will see new molds so if Has/Tak want to keep doing Alt/BT why not do characters that have not been released yet instead of characters that have been released?

I love Alts/BT. Lord knows it. I got control of a forum dedicated to them but these are so passable. Now with their prices through the roof, I wont be checking for these. All Plastic and $20 more dollars than when they were part metal

PLUS.....Where the F*** is a Red Scion Repaint as Ironhide? A Blue repaint of Rumble? The Prowl mold as Red Alert? Takara's Version of Decepticharge? Wincharger (Decepticharge's head on the Mustang body) as a Shelby Cobra? This is Tak's 4th redo of the RX-8. I dont want another 2003 Imprezza if it would keep me alive.

Awaits pre-order.

If these are real, I'll support it even if they just do redecos for now. Where's the Frenzy and Steeljaw repaints?

Holy crap, I may have sold all of my Alts(except Silverstreak) but damn I'm tempted on that Bluestreak!

Wow, new Binaltechs - maybe if these generate interest there will be new molds, at least thats what I will keep telling myself.

Jazz was driving around town and saw that Transformers the movie was playing. He bought a ticket sat down and saw himself on the screen in silver and thought "damn I look good". He then left (after the movie was over) and went to the local body shop and now you have this new binaltech. The End

Maybe these are just to test the market... To see if the movie has generated more interest in real-world alt modes.

Great Jazz is on my wish list, this will make it easy to get him.

In TakaraTomy's new screwed up continuity, the Movie is (somehow) part of G1.

So in 2007 he became a Solstice, died, came back to life as a RX-8 again in 2008?

Man, I've been totally out of Alternators for awhile now as I lost interest in the line, but even if I was still having crazy hopes for Alts like some members these two would be so passable.

Blue Bluestreak doesn't appeal to me, because it's the fifth Subaru Impreza that we've recieved (Smokescreen, Smokescreen GT, BT* Red Alert & Ricochet previously) and the fourth use of the 2003 mold. I mean, they could have at least reused the 2004 mold, but I guess that was asking too much... ugh...

And as for Jazz... way to cash in on the movie guys. It's not even as interesting as the red Meister (Zoom Zoom) that got released alongside Meister. Bleh, and another use of this mold would have been welcome as a new character as I never did care for the Soundwave version.

Oh well, great for those of you who are still super into Alts/BT, but this would do nothing but dissapoint me if I were still into the line.

Takara's continuinity is just plain stupid. I try not to think about it.

That blue WRX looks like the Streak mold with a Smokescreen head and the RX-8 looks like a silver Laserwave with a Meister head...

...just like the KOs.

You'd think they would at least spell 'Impreza' correctly. And maybe include the manufacturer's logo...etc...etc.

It also looks like Bluestreak is using the Smokescreen instead of the Silverstreak head, which means it's just a Smokescreen without decals.

Does the release refer to the character as "Bluestreak"? If so, it's clearly fake, as his name is simply "Streak" in Japan.

This sure was a surprise! Bluestreak maybe, but passing on Meister.

While it's nice to see new Binaltechs, my enthusiasm is lessened by the fact they're all repaints.

I have no complaints about more binaltechs... granted these are real. More BTs translates to more Alts, a line I got rather addicted to (for better or worse...). I'm not 100% sure I believe this though.

Jazz has a spoiler that looks like the aftermarket one on the Solstice, but not like the one thats available on the RX8.
I work for a Pontiac and Mazda dealer. Would love to get some more Mesiters and movie Jazz toys since they're popular around the office, but combining the two is just goofy.

I'll take what ever they offer.

All I want is a Megatron to lead my Leaderless decepticons.
