I told myself I would not buy into these repaints.... but that is one sexy time toy

I like the first two versions better. I love this mold. Its just the the red is more "rust" than I would have liked. Possibly its the camera, but will have to see this in person first.

This is new? Whups, I saw one of them in a T'r'U here in Atsugi Japan earlier today and passed it up because I was looking for Prime.

Really nice color scheme.

Dammit if I didn't just spend all my spending money this month on a couple of SOC I would totally have picked this up.

I just can't get into these alternity guys. BT was better. The head is ugly on this thing.

Yeah, I opted for this version instead of the silver or blue ones. I'm still lukewarm on the mold itself, but MAN do those colors look striking. Even though they're from different lines, I suspect he'll look great with Chara Hobby Black Soundwave.

We're really into the samurai theme nowadays aren't we.

I've already got the Blue and Silver figures and I love them. This mold is pretty darn awesome and the Samurai look is a big reason why.

I eagerly anticipate this one. I have the other 2, it'll be hard to choose a favorite.

THIS! I'm glad i passed on the Silver one and waited for the more "darker" --geddit? Version! This is awesome. Id maybe have to buy 2~ along with 2 Cliffjumpers and one BB.

Ditto. Has the whole Shogun feel...body armor and color is awesome. Now we need a head swap... Custom made or wait for the ROTF Bludgeon and "decapitate" his head?

This shot makes him look like a roach.

It is so nice in those colours that Im glad I have ordered that version.


But Megatron, it is most definitely NOT.

No Cannon, no Megatron. Ask poor old "crumpled piece of tin-foil" Bhey-Movie 1 Megs.

I think you'll find a lot more Megatron's don't have arm mounted cannons than those that do. G1 Megatron (in Japan) came with a sword, so swords are appropriate too.

I got mine payed off months ago, loving the Fairlady Z alt mode.

The red and black are "meant" to be this mold's colours as the entire design is a homage to "musha" (aka: samurai) style robots.

I have that fig but he's in the cupboard in storage. Wish I could fish him out to join battle with him and ROTF Wind Charger (otherwise erroneously known as "Swerve" by Haz-blo) as Windcharger too has a musha style head (also with leanings towards EVAngelion) and paint job and blades (or "rail guns" in Windcharger's case, obviously)







Anyway, to me he, he isnt Megatron. I hate the alternity "everyone is a god" "story" so I've re-named him "Air-Hunter":

Makes more sense to me as Airhunter was a black and red/orange recolour of the blue g2 megaplex clone jet anyway. So all three figs are megatron, megaplex and air hunter.

1/ Most Megatrons DID come with an arm cannon. Even Cybertron Megatrons wheel/gun could be mounted on his arm.

2/ Japanese Megs still came with a cannon AND a sword.

3/ If you check the Japanese "Collections" magazines, you will find that Alternity Megs WAS designed to carry an arm cannon, but they dropped it (and "the ball" with it).

4/ Thus, THIS version is the best as it's in his samurai, "Air Hunter" colours, meaning that we can buy him and re name him AIR HUNTER!

I am aware of all of this, but I stand by the remark that most Megatron's didn't have an arm cannon like G1 Megatron. Cybertron Megatron's gun is hardly a cannon in the sense of G1 Megatron.

Funny..they call him Megatron, and he looks like Megatron. Heck, he looks more G1 Megatron than most Megatrons.

Why does he not qualify as Megatron, primal-convoy?...does Alternity Convoy also not count as a Prime to you because he lacks chest windows?..


Anyway..Alternity's story is all kinds of bullshit, but the figures are pretty rocking in my opinion!

same here...as for this one, i think everything looks ugly.

I have to disagree..I think the proportions on these figures so far (except Bumblebee ) are much better than in Binaltech/Alternators. I think because back then they had to sacrifice alot of it because car manufacturers wouldn't allow certain parts to split up to make the car look better..but it hampered the overall look of the bots.

But that's just my opinion..and only 3 Alternity figures exist so others may not end up as lucky.

Damn... there's no way that thing is Megatron but I'm betting that with a simple head swap he'll make a perfect Razorclaw...

I think it makes for a good alternate reality Megatron. The head SCrEaMs G1 toy Megatron. Overall the colourscheme could very well be a homage to the diaclone Black Walther Megatron.

I like the silver version TIMES better. The orange makes the alt-mode look unrealistic. The silver-version doesn't have this.

I didn't like how so many of them have a busted chest piece, and their waist doesn't lock into place. Those that don't have that problem, that's awesome, lucky-lucky.
