As always thanks to TFW contributor SydneyY we can now bring you Alternity Convoy Super Black's bio:
This Convoy, who uses "Vector - 704" Auto Avatar, is one with a unique background; he was once a disciple of the evil until he was redeemed and joined Alternity.
He was once a Convoy in a world no longer exist. He was reproduced by Unicron and for several thousand years tormented, then turned into a destruction machine without a soul. He was defeated by Cybertron after a fierce battle, and 9 hundred thousand years later, in Alternity era, he was welcomed among the Convoys.
His soul has been healed by the power and mercy of the Superior One, and reborn as V-704, he arrived in present time Earth to work faithfully for the Alternity mission.
V-704 behaves as a thoughtful and skilled warrior, but sometimes fights quite ruthlessly because of his different past battle experiences from other Convoys, and he secretly wishes to fight Unicron, but to concentrate on the urgent mission, which is to deal with their arch enemy Hytherion and Megatron, he has buried his personal desire deep inside.

The most popular masterpiece figure, it raised the bar for Transformers toys, and is arguably the best Transformer ever made.

Board member Type-R has included images of all 3 figures including a comparison with the first Convoy release.

On display were the next entries into the Alternity line - Megatron in both of his incarnations, and Convoy "Super Black" version, and all three look very sharp! Also on show was the Japanese version of the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen poster, and some very cool wall scroll posters depicting Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. Many other upcoming products, such as Ultimate Battlecharged Bumblebee and the voicechanger helmets, were also on show. Rounding out the coverage is a new image of the Robo-Q Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, though curiously camera shy in this new image - they've got their backs to the camera! The Cybergundam Blog has posted a scan from the latest issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine. Shown off in this issue are the upcoming Alternity Megatrons, in addition to the final two Transformers Henkei releases Smokescreen and Red Alert.

Amazon Japan strikes again with a listing for Alternity A-01 Convoy (Super Black Edition). The listing has a placeholder image which is an edit of the stock image for the Vibrant Red version of this same toy. The edit gives us a hint of what to expect from the Super Black Edition Alternity Convoy.
The figure is due out in June and will cost 4,725 Yen.

Small Bingbing of Toy-World has found the Alternity A-01 Nissan GTR Vibrant Red & Ultimate Metal Silver Convoy figures!
The official release date is later this week, however it appears that some stores may have received their shipments early. This figure comes with an instruction sheet, as opposed to a manual. A story is included, entitled "From Here to Alternity".

Takara Tomy have launched the Transformers Alternity section of their Transformers website! The page has official images and flash animation transformations of Alternity Convoy in both his Vibrant Red and Silver color schemes, in addition to some cool wallpapers depicting both the toys, and the official artwork featured on the boxes of the toys! Click on the link to check the site out, but be warned the site is in Japanese language.
