The official Transformers Collector's Club has revealed artwork for next year's membership incentive figure, Depthcharge. This figure is a repaint of Hunt for the Decepticons Terradive, and will be sent to you if you have an active membership prior to March 16, 2013.

This "freebie" was announced recently at this year's Botcon. The Club will also be rolling out a new figure subscription service later this year: the Transformers Figure Subscription Service. There are currently six figures planned for release.

the artwork shown at Botcon of Depthcharge with Protoform X behind him was tweeted out today... looks pretty awesome up close... I'm pretty excited to get this figure in, i think he'll look great with Universe Cheetor and Dinobot...

Because everybody has lower legs as big as their torso. Wait...
Shatterpoint
This is helping me want this figure.
Acid Wing
Awesome.

I wonder if that means pre-Earth, BW Rampage will get a figure...hmmm, the possibilities.

Cybertron deluxe Unicron with different headsculpt (a la digibash done by an Allspark.com forum member, name slipping me at the moment) would fit nicely. Though, a Voyager size mold would be most fitting.
LogicalLuke
I want to know if this came about from Unicron 9's jewel of a custom really.
urmandj
I think I've seen the digibashes of the same guy you are talking about. They are amazing. I can see what you are saying. Hope he takes care of that possibility. The only bad thing is, he creates some figures I want but will never get.

I still would have liked to see them use the Sharkticon mold, that still screams "Depth Charge" to me.
Thundershot
I'd like to see BW Rampage out of either Cybertron Menasor or even Cybertron Unicron.

I sure hope we get a Rampage of some sort...he's my favorite BW character and one of my all-time favorite Transformers.
It's great that they made this Depth Charge, though, because he's one of my brother's favorite characters and he has thought all along that the Terradive mold would make for a good pre-BW Depth Charge.
Primeconvoy1
Based on the artwork, does FP plan on a Protoform X exclusive to go with Depthcharge?

Btw, looking forward to this figure!
Victorysabre
I am VERY excited about this guy. Bring on next year's TCC figures
SCPrime
what's the mold this figure will be made from?
Bountyan
Meh.

Ditto. Doesn't even need a head remold, they both have both aquatic and spaceship elements, and a lot of little details that randomly match up (like Sharkticon's knee spikes matching Depth Charge's knee... mandibles). But this figure looks great and I LOVE the mold... I'm actually considering joining the club for this one.
shibamura_prime
With the previous TFCC toy art I could take it or leave it, but I have the say that the colors on this are crazy awesome.

thanks.

Pete said next years exclusives will top the Runs. So far, I would disagree.

Boy howdy! signed up for the club this morning....course I have a YEAR until I actually get this guy but no worries. I'd like to chime in as well that I'd love to get a Rampage out of Cybertron Unicron. sure it ain't to scale but what is? Maybe He'll be in the 2014 subscription figures alongside Omega Doom.

This also does kinda mean TFCC is going to have to come up with a Cybertronian Silverbolt at some point just to complete the Maximals.

Cool story.

I personally love the deco and look forward to most of the subscription figures.

I believe a little perspective is necessary.

TFCC really addressed my issues and this subscription fixes the previous figure issues. Now Depth Charge as a freebie, they are definitely on the right tracks again. The TFCC isnt lame, they are doing figures rom a bunch of different eras, thats just good business.
igniz1984
If my membership expires 2/2/13 , would I still get this figure? Or will I have to renew again?
exclusacon
Can someone tell me how the subscription will work?

well, so far there're more figures, and they touch on a number of different eras for all fans to enjoy, but i also see what you're saying... it's hard to follow up the Runs...
Ektris
I may have been hesitant before.

But I think my love for this character just won me over.
jerryitus
I wish I was excited about any of this, but I'm not.

You'd have to renew
Brunkion76
While many people care about this, I am not one of them. I'll be selling this guy as soon as I get him.
Deceptigtar
love the nod to the x carved in background, please a protoform-x or rampage.
Omegax80
Looks interesting. Wondering if there will be a new backstory and what timeline he is currently lurking in...
StayingInTheBox
In concept so far, this is a goddamn homerun. This mold is a GREAT choice for Depthcharge. Now, let's hope that art transfers to the actual figure.

Good choice TFCC!

heh..."the runs"
Shark Jumper
the sub figures:
1. Scourge RID
2. Slipstream
3. Jackpot
4. Circuit
5. Ultra Mammoth
6. Breakdown (Geewun colors)

seriously I hope this is like under $300 and someone wants to buy Circuit and Jackpot as I find those two the hardest to move if I were to do this service and sell the rest.
allew
He looks cool, mold works great for him with that headsculpt and trident weapon. I don't have any pre-beast mode figures though (Botcon 06 set, custom class Inferno or the club Airrazor figure) in my collection so I might just sell him to recoup the cost of the membership, especially since I do have Terradive and Space Case.

The DarkMount mould might work too.
ORIO
Classics Depth Charge. Come to Orio...

I will renew my membership to get this toy.I have also noticed that they raised the price of membership by $2. All deluxe toys seem to be going up by $2 this year...
Sorry to sound picky, but Terradive is from the line officially named Autobot Alliance (AA) not HFTD. Depthcharge will be the 4th use of this mold.
Ektris
That makes me wonder - if you need to be a member by March 16, 2013 to get this guy (which means I've got plenty of time, fortunately), when will the deadline be for the subscription service? Is that running this year or next?

The line was called "Transformers" with a "Hunt for the Decepticons" sticker on the package. They were called "Autobot Alliance" in Japan only. The US WAS going to but didn't for whatever reason...

Oh yeah, and who was the third use of this mold? You counting the US and JPN releases separately?
Megabattimus
Did they hire Rob Liefeld to do this art?

He has to be. Or I missed something.

This mold is amazing. It's one of those molds I'll buy every version of just because it's so badass.

I agree. Though my Terradive's legs kept falling off the ball joints so I had to put superglue on his balls...

That sounds worse than it is. Really.
UltraMagnus2008
Wtf??? Unicron-9 did this as a custom already guess its too much to expect them to give him the credit.

The Hasbro Display Booth during Botcon 2010 clearly labeled the line Autobot Alliance as seen on the display tags.

I had a feeling someone was going to ask this. Hasbro AA Deluxe Terradive and Takara AA-14 Deluxe Terradive have different colors so it's a redeco.
wolfe
Now I want a the Japanese Version of Terradive. Looks good.

Depthcharge looks interesting so far.
Rockdown
Great choice of mold. Now I can save money by not renewing this year.
