MMC01: Knight Morpher Commander (Heart of Steel Optimus)

MMC01: Knight Morpher Commander (Heart of Steel Optimus) 1
Master Mind Creation has released new images of its MMC01 Knight Morpher Commander. It seems this will be a plastic kit rather than the original Heart of Steel resin kits that were to be made available. Also the kit now seems to be available as a fully assembled figure.

Click on the title for all images.

Thanks for that.
QuinJester:
I remember that on the dev. page for the kits, the designer made mention of trying to design a smaller, more affordable version.

I wonder if this will be a kit, still, or if it will be built.
Blitz.:
Hmmm I wonder what the guys who made the other kit think of this? (same guys who made a rather GeeWan Arcee)

I heard they(GeeWan Arcee guys) bought that kit from the sculptor who did this one, or something like that.

Griffith made the HOS Optimus, was planning on making kits but due to a variety of reasons (lack of funds, lack of time), realized he wouldn't be able to pull it off. He gave the guy who makes the Arcee molds permission to do a run of the HOS Primes as they were then, but continued work on the design, trying to come up with a smaller more manageable version, which is to say, this one.

It's always been the same designer making these HOS primes.

Griffith's blogs with more photos:

Also, it does look like this will be an ABS plastic toy figure, as opposed to the previous resin kits. Awesome.
llamatron:
I will be all over that if we can get some more details... such as does it come built and painted or is it more of a DIY deal?
QuinJester:
Reading up on Griffith's blog and such, it looks like this will be a fully assembled, colored, ABS honest-to-goodness toy.
Deceptikitty:
Awesome! Do want. It looks great.
Blitz.:
thats cool I just dont want any bad vibes in the Fan toy world even more so after all the PC talk.

any way I like the look of him but I kinda wish the head was a little different just the visor bit
Slimaximus:
OMG He really is doing a mass release and for only 80bucks for a fully transformable Figue Soo bought
Deceptigtar:
Please god let their be a nemesis version!
samtastic:
Beautiful! Want!
guard convoy:

tootsmendozer:

Liokaiser:
Details look good. I really like the face. Love the cannon, it's a nice touch. A Nemesis verison will be nice too.
deathsheadx:
isn't this the same area that's got hasbro looking at fan products?
Fort Max:
Lawsuit incoming, either from Hasbro, IDW or both...
LightningZERO:
Man, this looks good!
on_a_warpath:
BOUGHT.
I don't care how much it costs. BOUGHT.
Sam's_Bee:
Sold!
Hopefully it'll get past the pre-order stage, Hasbro should be hiring the artist to work for them. As in take a big fat hint of what could be made and sold in stores.
ORIO:
Kinda like how the weapon storage makes the back remind me of g1 megatron... anyone else see that? or am I dumb?

Well, I believe the artist who's design it was (Guido?) said he likes it - but I don't know if he has the rights to the design or not.... Also does the design even feature in the story other than as a concept design?

Reminds me more of Gundam then anything else.

Well that's one point in their favour at least.

--> This, though it is beautiful. . .
Turnman:
How do I get one??? Will BBTS have preo-orders for it?
Razerwire:
This will go perfectly with ROTF Ransack.

Seriously Hasbro, we need more stuff like this.

This really is a great looking kit. And your right he would go great with Ransack.

I would love it if there were to do more Period pieces like this. The G2 Ransack who turned into a Corsair was brilliant and still one of my favorites.

I would love to see what they can do with a B19.
grock35:
cool...i like the changes made to differentiate it from the resin kits...i'll deff be picking this up when it's available
bradforj:
Robot Kingdom shipping charges are INSANE.

nope HOS prime never actually used this form. it was only ever cover art if I recall

But I do see Hasbro being very interested in this and not in the fun way. I as I recall the botcon talk about their being talk that if something was around $100 they would take a special interest as its their IP being used.

Just for airmail parcel service, the want $47.33 to ship two of the little boogers to the USA. These are 6.5" figures, it's not like I'm ordering Fort Max here!
Stormcrow:
I love it. Id be all over it, but 80 bucks is a little hard for me to dish out.
anthonok:
will totally get this i just hope they make a nemesis version
Robogeek28:
Very nice.
NGW:
I love the look of that thing so fucking much. Dunno that I can scrounge up the money for it though, especially with all the RotF stuff I need to catch up on, plus games, and movies and grr >_<
IsThatOne:
Steam Punk oh yeah!!! I remember the comic...
All I have to end with here is his Cow catcher eyebrows... make him look... sad... I hope the paint scheme will be awesome!

Holy hell! Those must be some premium handmade packing peanuts they use.
Superquad7:
Radicons (yet again) FTW!
rherk:
Perhaps I am missing something but RK does not specify if it will be painted or not or the scale. Any info on this? I would be interested but I don't want to buy junk.
Railguard:
Well I'm not familiar with this thing so I pass.
[Wing_Saber-X]:
AWESOME.
