TFW's Combiner Wars Warpath In-Hand Gallery

Posted on 04-26-2015 at 03:33 PM by Sol Fury under Generations / Classics
Warpath-Robot-29 We're kicking off a look at more new and upcoming Combiner Wars Generations releases, starting with Warpath! This new Warpath is a part of Combiner Wars Legends Wave 3 along with Groove and Viper. He's a retooled version of the Generations Legends Megatron from 2013.

Getting the negatives out the way first, yes, this is Warpath lacking his traditional chest cannon, trading it up instead for an arm cannon. It's a pity, but the design of the toy would not allow for it, given the arms fold up across it for tank mode. If you can get past that, though, this Warpath is pretty neat. The shade of red Hasbro has used for him is a nice, rich shade, which evokes the original Warpath's red nicely. The tank mode is also excellent, and is a good match for the Generation 1 Warpath tank. Lastly, the head sculpt is amazing. It's a tiny head, but full of details, and nicely captures Warpath's head.

Warpath is likely destined to be criminally overlooked because he's had two good releases in the Generations / Classics banner, but we'd invite you to look again - he's not a bad toy by any means, and will be found chilling with the updated Cosmos and Powerglide in our collection.
