The TF Upgrader Facebook page has posted a few new images of X2Toys' upcoming guns for use on Generations Metroplex. This gun will especially come in handy if you bought the Hasbro release of Metroplex(which only comes with 1 red gun). More images of X2Toys' prototype can be seen by reading on.

Shame it isn't sixgun or slammer
Gundamben831
^ I agree they should have designed them to make sixgun that would have been neat
ORIO
Yup. Sixgun or Slammer for me too.
Shin Densetsu
Wasn't a 3rd party transforming Six-gun announced? My memory is fuzzy so I may have heard wrong.
GAUGE
Wow lmao!!! THAT'S IT!?!?!?!?
Mr.Deflok
Keep in mind the altmode pic is actually a mid-transformation pic. Not sure why they think they need to hide it. Some of these 3P's are mentally retarded when it comes to showing off their product.
Wrecker217
A gun that turns into a tank?
Ellamin
if it's not too pricey, I might like it, be a neat sciencey prop and it turns into a neat gun I could hold, or give to metroplex if I ever got one.
zoso1900
Im pretty sure that will be slammer in tank mode.

Here's Shaft... http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transf...002-shaft.html

Someone here on the board was going to do a version of Sixgun, but the cost became prohibitive, that he scratched that project (for now).

Transformers Stop Motion featuring the largest transformer ever; Metroplex, guardian of Autobot City.

HK-Con Metroplex was used for this video, don't see the need for a 3rd party gun =/
Zer0
What exactly are we supposed to be transforming into there in the first prototype picture? A Cybertronian cell phone tower?
Skyclaw
Too me that is Slammer, but Slammer has 3 modes: Tank mode, Gun mode and it appears to be a Mortor or howitzer for long range? Either way, i would have to see the final product and would only need one gun as well. Anyone wanna take a guess how much this will be going for? I'll say $30 for this.

Maybe it's because not everybody could make it and would rather have the Hasbro one than pay for shipping on this big lug plus $50 more?

Depending on price, I'll probably be getting one.
Kaijumaster
oh my god!
just the other day I found that somehow the 5mm plug had sheared off while attached, ruining the guns ability to connect to Metroplex...I've been pretty bummed by it.... Now this gets announced..... Oh thank you God!..... sometimes it's the little things he does!

Two questions:

1. What the hell is its alt mode?
2. Why did they re-mold the original gun, who not create a new design? It defiantly is ripped from Hasbro when it looks like a direct cast with a few elbow joints added.
Cast
I'll take one in white as slammer please.

1: NO CLUE why they're not sharing this key piece of info :/
2: This was undoubtedly so that you could add this one to your single-gun Hasbro edition and end up with two matching guns.

I *get it* but not the design call I would have made either.

I agree with your answers/thoughts on 1 and 2, but I actually like that it's the same gun in gun mode as what comes with Metroplex. I just hope it doesn't get them in hot water over copying the gun design.

That being said, if the other mode(s) look great then I'm happy with the current gun mode or a changed one.

Also thank you, daimchoc, for pointing out Shaft. I had previously missed this little guy and I think he looks great so far!

Glad I'm not the only one going WTF when looking at the first post

This gun seems to be hommaging Slammer. You will recall that Slammer turned into one of Metroplex's towers. The fact that this gun has transformation articulation points means that you don't have to have it configured like the standard gun(s) while in "tower" mode.

I almost want to buy two, as I have the Hasbro Metroplex, but I really like the shoulder cannon.

The solution is for them to release it in both red and white. I'd buy both.
Lody666
So....does the gun that comes with Metroplex transform?

It seems like the instructions that come with him fail to mention alot of little things like what to do with the two black arm/shoulder guns in city or mobile mode.

Nope, the standard gun(s) do not transform, outside of the handle folding for tower mode. This new gun has added a transfromation to make it a little more worthwhile for collectors. I'm also assuming this will be packaged in tank mode, to "mask the scent" of blatent copying.
Kaijumaster
I hope there's a touch more detailing on the gun, since the original doesn't really play up the fact that it's a battle cruiser that combines with metroplex to form a gun.

I kinda hope you're wrong. What I want is a gun that looks IDENTICAL to the original one while in gun mode. Any details added, in my opinion, would take me further away from wanting it.

Now if they did a well planned sticker set, and included two sets so you could detail the original gun as well, that would be the best of both worlds.
Scaleface
Maybe it's a triple changer. It turns from Metroplex's pimp cain, into either a cheap motel add-on for Autobot City, or alternately into a methodone clinic.
Computron34
I might have to buy 2 of these. Since I own retail Metroplex, put his stock gun on this shoulder, let him wield 2 of these. Walking arsenal.
sixpointsinspace
Their teaser pic is in red. If its Slammer I want an option to buy white please.
rego0012
the alt mode is a tank.

the "legs" fold all the way around the main body to create the wheels/treads of the gun and the barrel up folds up to accordion on top of the body then down.

ok there ya go! but yeah, somehow I wanna detail that spaceship so it still works as a Gun/Tower.
Chaos Muffin
Looks pretty good, no complaints here.
Mindmaster
So what exactly does it transform into? Based on the blurry teaser images, it looks like a tank, but the prototype images make it seem to be a tower for base mode.
KnightHawkke
what is that tortured looking thing mode in that picture?

Kantus Prime
Happy to see this product! My Metroplex arrived in the mail today so this is a pleasant surprise to add on. I hope to see this become Slammer at most but I think this will just transform into more "buildings" for City-mode or Battle-station mode.

That's not what I asked. I know what this gun is supposed to be an homage to. What I wanted to know is, in the first clear picture of the prototype, what in the hell is that supposed to be? Because it just looks like a jumble of connected parts to me.
BB Shockwave
Probably the first third party thing in a while that I'll buy... like the alt mode, too - handy to use it as an antenna in base mode.

I see it either as an antenna or a stationary mode for the cannon. In any case, I'm pretty sure it's just a "mid-transformation-fan-mode" pic that they took to showcase the various articulation points. I don't think it's going to be in the instructions. But I may attempt to use that pic as a starting point for an alternate tower mode if I can figure out how to attach it securely to the city mode.
Ezilla82
I'll probably buy two of them and turn one into Slammer the other would probably be just a drone so yeah can't wait to see the review of this pretty soon.
Scaleface
I still don't understand what the alt mode is, but it looks happy to be here.

Most likely a Gun Tower/Turrent in City mode. Could also become a part of something else.

Hmm... I see tank treads...

Well, if it's a Tank/tower/rifle triple changer, that works. I'd been secretly hoping for a robot mode.

Due to those treads, I'm thinking that it would link up with another accessory.
LDM
How bout showing us what it is besides a gun and a ripped mold of hasbros gun with some pins in it.
Blackout32
This looks like something I might be interested in after not knowing about it and getting a link to see it. Now I think I want it for my Metroplex.
GAUGE
lemme guess... It's supposed to be Slammer.

Now, if the gun broke apart into separate components (such as a small Scamper-sized Drone tank), I could totally see a Slammer coming from it.
But, they didn't think to include that aspect. And having it transform into a tower mode didn't seem to cross their minds either, apparently.

not trying to be negative, these are just observations sole based on what's been provided so far.

it turns into a weird skeletal looking tank....thing and the regular gun,

seems like the rest of what it does is fan-mode type stuff.

these pics are ...better.
