X2 Toys have shared prototype images of their upcoming upgrade kit for MP-22 Masterpiece Ultra Magnus. The kit is designed to enhance the shoulder joint’s range of articulation on the Masterpiece figure (some assembly required), as well as up-sizing the original rifle. Check out the images and share your thoughts after the break.

Totally forgot about this haha, been a while since I messed w/ my MP-22. Great photo of where to sand if anyone digs up one of these upgrade kits!

Too a while to get the response
Yeah if it suits you its fine. Ill probably paint mine at some time.

To each their own. It wasn't a cause for concern to me and I'm a stickler for matching colors.

Thank you very much! Because of your post, my problem solved.
At the first place, I sanded the wrong parts on the upgrade kits but luckily there were no side effect and I found your post on google.
Then, here the pics for anyone who meet the same problem (too tight to move the arms).
Anyone if you don't want to make a scratch on your figure, then don't do it.

Eh….Not so. You can say it is but….To put things in context for someone who is painting models: The Gun part on the upgrade set is like having washed a gunmetal painted gun with a purplish ink,
ChromeMagnus
I actually have the kit and can honestly say the difference in paint on the greyish gun upgrade part is barely noticeable if at all. No painting needed.
There is a straight up Takara KO MP-22
KO Masterpiece MP-22 Ultra Magnus
KO MP-22 Ultra Magnus
And there is an upcoming MP-22 KO from THF (Toy House Factory)

It's up to you. I enjoy mine.

So, should I get this then? Is it worth it?

Still no word on a Delta Magnus version.
DukeFett
Magnus has been out a few years; I kinda doubt it at this point.

Want an honest opinion? And I say this having the upgrade kit in the mail.
Its not something necessary. The gun itself is not even worth it IMHO, since it requires repaint. And the shoulder upgrade?Well if you do have like 20 minutes you can cut open the pieces yourself. I bought it because I dont want to modify the figure itself.
The stickers are another issue.Those…guys…. at reprolabels wont probably make a seet for Delta. But the Magnus one is very worth it IMHO. Albeit overpriced.

I want to buy this stupid kit and some stickers, but I know the second I do a high quality KO with fixes will be announced! I just know it! Argh!
ChromeMagnus
I'll admit. I like this kit mainly for the gun upgrade.

To anyone getting these, FYI when I installed mine it was SO tight to move the arms. If you keep his shoulder extension into the body, to prevent it from moving too much that helps. But I went and sanded down a part to make it easier so I didn't feel like I'd break the arm off. This is totally going off memory of when I installed it like over a year ago, but it should be pretty easy to figure out where to sand down (a piece on seen on the outside) when you try it out.
pilot00
Nop, no idea. Just going to take a shot in the dark.
ChromeMagnus
Thanks. Have you a had a positive experience with that seller before?
pilot00
It does, thats what confuses me about it
Most people say it doesnt have one in the kit.
