AND BOOM! Do you hear that? Because that sounds like someone breaking the sound barrier… Or, perhaps an explosion, followed by someone breaking the sound barrier. In this case it appears to be Runman, Unique Toys take on what might be their Masterpiece version of Blurr whom was spotted by the eagle eyed TFW2005 user, Cheem The Rup on the Weibo of The Unique Toys Club. Which also provided us with out first looks of their versions of Cutthroat and Abominus. This figure is apart of their “Y” Series, which seems like it might indeed be where their masterpiece styled figures shall be placed in. Also of note is the fact that their version of Blurr will also be coming with his Targetmaster, Haywire. Unfortunately, as of this writing we are unsure of the name analog they will be using for Haywire, but we’ll keep you updated. Now, go check out the pictures of the speedster, and see if you can outmatch his pace in words per minute in the discussion!

Still my bluur of choice because it’s actually able to be transformed back and forth. Posting another articulation mod. With a slight cut on the inner boot you can increase the ankle articulation greatly.

Reasonable priced used one (UK seller – not me!): https://www.primetimetoyz.co.uk/pro…erpiece-blurr-unique-toys-buzzing-runman-y-02

Thanks for this! Pretty much what I was thinking about and for me at least it'd do the job as Blur.

Minor/Repaint: – MP Blurr & Haywire (Unique Toys Buzzing)

Thread resurrection I guess- but this preorder is still just hanging out 2 years later and I need a Blur. Has anyone moded/repainted Buzzing to look closer to toon MP style?

'Compatible' is a bit of an overstatement.
You can make it work, somehow (and that's how I've kept mine for quite some while). But in a way that you can make any flight stand work, by carefully balancing and trying all the various nubs and ridges you can find
Still, this changes nothing about the figure, which is overall fun, robust and nicely sculpted. In my head canon, Blurr is one of the bigger bots now, just because of how this figure pulls it off so convincingly.
luckyman76
Did not know that about the flight stand. I have the FT version flight stand but never got FT Blurr because I liked the UT version so much.
ChromeMagnus
Very sturdy, durable, well built figure as we've come to expect from UT/DX9. From what I understand it is also compatible with the Takara MP flight stand that comes with MP tracks and was later sold separately.

Has anyone seen any update on the re-release of Buzzing? They made some updates to him and I have him on pre-order and last word was 4th quarter 2021, but there's been no news on this yet. I would have expected an update on the final price by now at least.

Oh, dang. Thanks for the reply. I like the look of the robot mode and I saw him at a local collectibles shop for a reasonable price, but that is disappointing. I really feel like Blurr is the character that would be most benefitted from having a nice set of wheels to play with. I don't know why so many releases of him seem to skimp out on that.
Splendic
Not dumb. There are no wheels.
I bought this right when it came out and assumed there'd be a tiny set underneath, but nope.
shaunaroo
I'm sure this is a dumb question, but does he have any wheels? Or is he just meant to "hover" on a stand?
TigerBlade
This.
We just need a bigger Kup now.

I have a V1 Buzzing mint I'd let go for a steal price if you decide you want one. He's got that solid chest though. Came out of the box, posed and never touched/insignia'd or transformed until he went back in the box when I got Jabber. Been meaning to put him on Ebay but I'm just too damn lazy to do it.
DoctorObsidian
I really like Buzzing's transformation. I'm not a fan of the sculpt or the coloring, but that transformation looks like classic-style fun. Never been a fan of the really complex transformations that some figures have.
Splendic
Assuming FT gets back to a regular release schedule, I doubt if Jabber will be $200 when it's reissued.
The Koot reissue only went up $30 between releases, and even had some parts adjusted. JMO, but I've been going on the assumption Jabber will eventually get a reissue and be offered at $120-$150 depending on perceived popularity. If anything, troubling reports about the original mold will probably nudge prices a little lower than usual. Again, JMO.
I have Buzzing, and really liked him when the MP direction was more of a blend of toon / toy. But it definitely doesn't fit in as well with more modern MMC and FT s3 bots (even though I still like and am keeping the fig).

IDK what to do about Blurr. On one hand there's Buzzing which is a good looking figure although he's a bit boxy/rectangular and his car mode is a bit wide. He has the superior head sculpt and helmet (IMO) and he has a seemingly easy transformation. I kinda like the clear windshield too and that's easily changed if I change my mind. I imagine he'd be reasonably priced as well.
On the other hand there's the FT version which is easily better in alt mode and is overall a nice looking figure, minus the terrible head sculpt and tiny helmet. Problem is neither one wows me but Buzzing is at least (probably) attainable without selling a kidney. With Jabber it's either secondary market at insane prices or wait for a reissue. I just worry if FT reissues Jabber that he'd be $200, which is way too much for what he is.
So IDK what to do, y'all. Anyone here who has both that would care to share their opinions of both when comparing them side by side? One other thing, is there a picture of the second face? I read in some previous comments he came with a 2nd face but no one showed it. Many thanks to those who can help.
