3rd party group, Toyworld, has updated their website announcing their next planned unofficial Throttlebot figure, Aurora! Their first unofficial Throttlebot, Grind Rod (a homage to Roll Bar) is up for preorder at various online retailers now and is currently scheduled for a January release. This 2nd planned release, Aurora, is a homage to Generation 1 Searchlight. No release date is provided at this time.

Oh well, I'm back on the fence. I will wait to see a couple more. Grind Rod was ok but Aurora is growing on me.

Easy pass on all the 3rd party not-trottlebots. It's hard to want & get excited about the Throttlebots because they were portrayed as weaklings in the rebirth saga & the marvel TF G-1 USA Comics. in both media they got thrashed & beat up so badly.

Love the head, vehicle mode looks good as well, but I was hoping for a... sleeker car mode. Will wait until I see pics on my laptop before I decide to preorder or not.

I mean I wish these were like 45-50 bucks a pop instead of $60, because the more I look at them the more they grow on me. I mean yeah the throttlebots are not something I would of asked fro from a 3rd party, but they are looking really good.

Sleek sports cars are a dime a dozen in the TF franchise. But a Jeep? A modern SUV/Crossover? Give it to TW to shake things up a bit with the alt modes; I like where they're going with these guys.

Has/Tak should really consider reshells more often... They've got the same transformation, but they look very much different from one another.

(Really, more FoC Swipe/Jazz, less straight-up repaints. Please.)

That is one fantastic toy. On my list. I knew Herc would be a gateway toy into the dangerous, expensive world of third parties. I can't help but want them all, and I know it'll be oh so worth it.
