2005 Boards member Tekmen today attended a model club convention held in Canton China today. TFC Toys had a booth at the convention, showing off the next batch of their unofficial custom items that will be offered up for release. If you’ve been following news, you know what this means. More pictures of their not-Devastator, now officially named, Hercules! There’s also a new image of the combined mode using two Scavengers and two Scrappers, which gives a decent idea of the overall style and size of this thing.
On show were three of the four previously seen members of the Constructicons team that make up Hercules – Scavenger’s expy was not on show for some reason. Hook in this set goes by the moniker Dr Crank, which is an awesomely out-there choice for a name. Scrapper is known as Structor, and Longhaul, who forever does the heavy lifting for the group, is known as Heavylabor.
Also on show were color prototypes of the DSLR Reflector styled team, in a distinctly non-Reflector deco. They are instead in black and silver, evidently TFC Toys opted for a realistic camera deco rather than a show accurate robot and a purple camera. Check out the pictures and see if you think it works.
The Power Core Combiner “WWII” series drones were also on show in all of their modes, and shown combined with Heavytread who many (myself included) speculated would be a good match for the set.
Lastly there’s some new images of the next three Junkion Blacksmith Headmaster prototypes – Megatron, Ultra Magnus and Blaster, though not much is shown beyond their robot modes and Blaster’s boombox mode – and a selection of Targetroid recolors, including Ultra Magnus, Nemesis Prime, Skywarp and Thundercracker. A black version of Primars who seems to be inspired by Motormaster was also on show.
All these custom, not-endorsed-by-Hasbro-in-any-way items are prototypes, so might change a bit before release. Read on to check out all of the images that Tekmen has shared with us.

I'm kinda glad the Constructicons seem be to delayed, so long as they still come out.
Currently, I have barely enough money for a new Generations figure, at the currently reduced rate, less tax, I think, which I'd have to borrow & have no foreseeable income for the foreseeable future, due to my injury & both the Settlement & Disablility taking forever.
It'd be wonderful if they got released when I finally had money to spend on them…

Aye.. Crankcase really wants some proper stunticons to play with. Although next to that huge not-devastator, he'll look pretty silly.

I wish for a preorder.

I think the end result will be good, but I just wish we had SOME kind of pricing info… Is it unrealistic for someone to want to make sure they have enough money saved?

Honestly i think this is why we will see a delay (and also why it doesnt worry me) TFC needs plenty of capital to invest in a large production run in order to reduce final cost and maximise thier profits. Which is probably why we are seeing so may small products from them such as the targetroids and the Junkion Blacksmith stuff. The more stuff they release before the constructicons the cheaper they will be in the end.

If I was TFClub, I would try to keep the price as low as possible. There is going to be a very high demand on these guys. They will definitely make a profit off of these if the production number is high and if they do multiple releases. So hopefully they thought of this so they can give the consumer the best price possible.

The money I've been saving for these guys are going to I-gear now for the first conehead. I've giving up on these coming out this summer. Plus I've got my Botcon stuff coming late June.
Cheem The Rup
Right !! It's almost June and there aren't either the pre-orders…. I hope that this delay is for the research of the best quality though

I'm curious as to why there still hasn't been any pricing yet. We should at least have SOME kind of pricing by now…

That is a given but money talks and lower prices do buy fan support. Just ask FP how that is working for them.
And seeing as Drillbit tends to have the inside scoop….I will now state it as fact. These things are goign to be more than $80 a piece.
Why are you saying that in future tense. I'm not willing I've already taken a few for them.
Anyway, if I go one and one about FP and how wonderful they are it is because they have yet to release anything that is crap. How can I speak negatively about something without a negative????
And my excitement on the subject is not soley FP, I am excited about all the 3rd party goods. I would have been out of the hobby if it wasn't for them. Outside of Animated (Prime toys aren't out yet) I had to endure a whole ton of crap going by the name of Armada, Energon, Cybertron, Movie one and movie two. A Handfull of Classic figures was not enough to keep me in but the 3rd party stuff added to Classics and kept me in.
So yes I will go on an on about something that kept my hobby alive when the people behind said hobby couldn't.

In my opionion, TFC and Fansproject are the two front-runners for 3rd party kick-assery. Fansproject tends to do the bigger projects that fit in well with the Classics stuff, while TFC does a bunch of crazy/brilliant fiddle-able stuff.
Great job all around on every item I've seen so far. I just hope they make a ton of those not-constructicons so they will be easy for fans to get there hands on.
Aaaaaand… people buying them both anyways.
DrillBIT
Different groups, different production environment, different price tags.

I think they could get away with $80-85 tops. I mean, these insecticons are about Deluxe size, maybe a tad smaller. The Hercules bots, from all accounts I've heard, fall between Deluxe and voyager. Given the size increase and the huge increase in complexity, remember making a figure combine is a much more costly and complex task than just a basic transformer, I think they could justify that much more. Over 85 I'm out. You're asking too much at that point.

You always seem like you would be willing to take a gunshot for FP, Transbot. Now that would be hardcore loyalty.
Transbot90210
With Fansproject just announcing CA-03 at $47.99, TFC will lose a lot of loyalty if these things are over $80.

Totally made in jest exomega! No ill will meant at all, thus the lols amd lmaos. I am almost 100% sure people will like the original designs of PP04/05. Ok, no more hijacking, back to discussing not Devy. I'll star the bidding at 89.99 per figure. Haha.
CVprowl
that hercules looks awesome. will they be available to pre-order through places like bbts? or does tfc do things differently?
