Can you comment on the joint on Longhaul and Scrapper. Especially on combined mode. That green bit on Long Haul while connected? Such a tiny peg inside huge ratchet.

No concerns whatsoever. Think of the ports on the energon combiners, but reinforced and perfected. NICE solid connection! Nothing to worry about.

Got mine this morning, I hate the wiggling shoulder plates, it makes the figure feel cheap. Other than that, cool figure. Visually, my favorite.

Great pics and thanks for posting your thoughts! I saw the HK video where the guy was yanking on those shoulder joint ratchets pretty hard getting them into and out of position and this had me worried, but it sounds like based on your review this shouldn't be an issue. In fact, already ordered mine from RK and have less concerns now than before I read this thread.

BTW, on a related topic, does anyone know a good trick for aligning the 'gears' on the feet of Exgraver? I just got mine and had a dickens of a time this weekend trying to align those gears on his feet getting him into vehicle mode. Watched a few YT videos trying to get a feel for it, but it seems to really just be trial and error. Anyone come up with a quick fix and or quick way of getting these lined up and folded inward into tread mode?

Thanks for that group shot. Are the Exgraver and Structor detachable cab things roughly the same size?

I still think he May (Vs. Dr. crank) be the weakest of all 6, but that statment in no way should downplay my AMAZEMENT at him!

I hope this set sticks around long enough for me to get a second set on the cheap. I don't do doubles but Herc deserves it if I could afford it.

This scares me a bit. Why wouldn't they plug them in at the factory? Is it because we're going to need to get to those screws to fix the shoulders from wiggling?

Good review, sodawilly. At least the QC isn't a problem, but I guess some people talked about that. Still the faction symbols in the shovel is pretty sweet looking.

To fix Exgravers feet, unfold both sides straight down so the toes and heel are pointing away from the shin. This disengages the gears. Then fold them back up at the same time, re-aligning the gears. It's super-easy. You can mis-align them too to make his heels higher for dynamic poses, then re-align for vehicle mode.

Man, he really makes Exgraver's bot mode look like SHIT!

It's not really an issue because the toy is still 100% functional in bot mode and the floppyness is nonexistant in alt mode. They only wiggle if you shake the toy. Why would you do that?

I tried this literally about 30x, figuring realigning the gears by taking both feet back to top position was the trick, but for some reason it kept getting off track (or something) with one of the feet on the way back down into folded position, and would always be slightly off. Grrr....was frustrating! Finally got it on about the hundredth try. I guess perhaps I just got a bad one or I need to get better at the technique. Regardless, thanks for the input.

And the wiggle is not a bad thing..... You really want to have that little bit of tolerance in those joints. That loftier wiggle doesn't really make the arms floppy persay.....

I'm in the same boat as some others; waiting for dr.crank, or whatever his name is, to be released before I can get my structor... Glad you enjoy him so much, he looks great, and that shot of the three bots combined into devs mode -- that really got me giddy with excitement.

This thing looks great. Resisting these is becoming more difficult.

The bot mode really hits my ideal TF proportions and style. Strangely enough, that makes me like the looks of the other 2 even more because they're all so different.

Speaking of; this trend of 'early bird' reviewers getting stolen Chinese toys delivered mega early (not saying that's the case here, but still) so that they can claim first dibs, first review, etc., is the ultimate pissing constest. A bit of jealousy, perhaps, but why can't we all have access to such sources? Although perhaps not as plentiful, my dollar is as good as yours, I guarantee it! ;-)

I really dislike the buttkibble and chunk in the sense that it doesn't have all the amenities of a collector grade figure. The lack of ankle articulation for instance is a big downer for a $100 figure. This guy especially is giving me Cybertron/Energon vibes for that...

Looks like I'm selling my Exgraver. I really love youe combined mode Hurc, but your bot modes aren't doing anything for me, and I won't pay $600 for 1/3 of the toy being undesirable.

I'm fairly certain that in Sodawilly's case, he pre-orders the instant it is available, uses EMS shipping (fastest available) and happens to live in a place that is easy to ship to. It is just a variety of factors all playing in his favor that allow him to get the figures first.

I'm still waiting on a shipping notice from RK for my Structor and Dr. Crank. Hopefully I'll have them in hand by this time next week.

Man i wish i could aford these but $600 for a toy set is a bit hard to come up with and justify. Can we get a size comparison with a few of the MP figures for reference? If i ever get these that is the collection that i will be putting them with.

Yeah; pretty much. It's not stolen or anything - it's just that RobotKingdom is the first major retailer to get them in stock due to location, I imagine.

Their shipping is fast too - my Structor shipped back on the 30th, and it's out for delivery today.

You know what I'm happy that some people are getting him early that way when they do a review we'll find out what to expect so that we know ahead of time. But still sodawilly you sir are a lucky bastard, but in a good way.

Yeah, it seems to depend on what toy it is, who they are getting the item from, etc. In this particular case- using RK -I'm sure all is on the up/up. In other cases with guys like Peaugh, Optibotimus, et. al., they each seem to have various overseas contacts who hook them up with "stolen Chinese toys" with fair regularity, and I guess that's more what I was referring to.

In the case of Dr. Crank- and especially after reading the blow up of messages from TFW members who have received their RK shipping notices for this guy recently- it appears that Sodawilly just got a 24hr jump on the rest of us!

That's exactly what I do. Every release, I have put my preorder in immediately as soon as it goes up. I also use EMS for every figure. Customs closest to me is Chicago where it routes through, and then comes straight to Michigan.... I've been so excited for these to come out for so long I don't want to wait any longer than I have to..... lol. I don't do it for any bragging rights, because I don't care about stuff like that. Keep in mind everyone.... I've had the funds set aside for these for a LONG time. I started to save up for these as soon as we all got to see the first blacked out silhouette over a year ago. This was the picture that was shown well before the first prototype. At that time, I didn't know what I was saving up for, but I had a gut feeling it was going to be good. My hunch payed off. =)

Wow...now that's foresight! Good for you, and ultimately your patience and dedication are obviously paying off.

As far as reviewers getting Tformers early. Again, it's with at least some measure of admitted jealousy that I see these reviews go up- in some cases months early- for toys we plebes won't see until they hit retail (or an online etailer), but your situation sodawilly is entirely different. Once I realized that you didn't have some back alley deal worked out with RK and instead were merely 24 hrs ahead of the pack in getting your shipping notice, it made more sense what I was really looking at here.

That being said, I can't wait for the Dr. Crank reviews folks!
