Rumor - TFC Toys Next Project is Computron?

Posted on 03-05-2012 at 08:12 AM by ORIO under 3rd Party Unlicensed
tfcComp1
Ever since the release of their Hercules project, fans of the 3rd Party Group TFC Toys have been dying to know what project the group will tackle next. We're one step closer to finding that out, thanks to some design sketches found over on ACToys of what look like Strafe, Nosecone, Lightspeed and Afterburner. In other words, Computron and the Technobots. This matches up to TFCToys' recent teasing through social media saying the project would have the color red at first and then changing their answer to white.

Take this as a rumor for now as these are only design sketches and there are no physical prototypes as of yet. Click the title bar to check out all the sketches and then head over to the 3rd Party Discussion forum to discuss the possibilities!

Please someone that knows chinese language.... I'm not understanding a bit over there in that topic Usually there I look for StarQ toys pics but this morning the guy (very probable a TFC insider) that usually posts this kind of pics, posted these sketches.... If the next big thing is really Computron, today I'll prepare a huge party
Scaleface
There were design sketches from them on Terrorcons a while back too.

Knew it wasn't a repaint of dev. Rock on but make it a reasonable price. $350 or gtfo.
deathsheadII
going to be another £300 odd down lol feel like i have seen these sketches before somewhere though ??
skiss
Little confused, this isn't going to be a starcats toy repurposed for TF is it? Or is this straight up computron hercules style?

I knew that a Defensor repaint of this StarQ combiner was in their projects...

Instead this one could be an original design Computron... meanwhile I continue to pray
adamthered
Blech. Menasor or Defensor first please.

**speculation**
What ever it is it will cost more. What possible reason could they have to charge less when they know they can sell multiple production runs of each figure as history has showed them. It won't be much more, maybe $10 each extra.
Trailbreaker77
I was hoping for the Stunticons or Aerialbots first but I'm sure I won't be complaining once I have this set in hand.
XxGeck0xX
I don't care who they release next I just want all of the G1 combiners to be made from TFC, especially after Hercules.

That would be cool if it was Computron.

Like Computron, but not at $100 a limb.
Runamuck
FINALLY! Something other than Devastator or Bruticus. That's all I ever hear about or see from 3rd parties nowadays. I hope to see a Menasor later down the road too...love cars!
The Crow
Bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Soundwinder
Well, Computron was my guess when they said "red and white members" so... yeah.

Not... actually going to get this. At all. Even a little bit.

That said, they should make them Deluxe sized and make them interchangeable with FoC Bruticus.

do you guys still need a translation on this thing? If so I can translate...

Recently, work has been relatively busy, so email/forum replies have been less. Thank you for everyone's patience.
In accordance with the promise, if we have new progress, we will first let everyone know, and therefore, I am here to announce something new~ haha

So recently we released Starcats part 2, please give us feedback about it!
(and then they go on to show the computron stuff)
They said something under each picture:

"certain race car"
"certain bike"

etc etc

Hoping Hercules hasn't set the standard for size. I really want Computron, but I do not want it at 100$ a limb. I want it comparable size with Bruticus/superion/Giant. Otherwise I will not purchase.

I 100% agree.. I'd rather defensor or Menasor (preferrably Defensor since my bots seem a little weak in the combiner department currently!)
The Technobots haven't really been one of my favorite teams..

I also agree witht his. I like my Herc, but I wouldn't mind getting a set of 5 combiners for a bit cheaper.
hotspot_2001
Computron is my favorite combiner. Don't think I could pass this up.
PredaconElder
Easy pass.
Orodruin
Computron: Hell. YES.

Buying Nosecone to complete my G1 Computron was what got me into adult collecting, so I want this hardcore.

That said, I do hope it's a bit smaller and cheaper. Herc is awesome, but he doesn't fit on my shelf.
Mumps
So, anyone know how I could re-route all of my future paychecks to TFC? Cause, God dammit, just take all of my money right the hell now!

Computron/Technobots? hells yea. Just not at $100 a limb maybe $80 a limb with each being a deluxe
daimchoc
But Herc's was $80 per figure...
Torque
Computron has always been a fav of mine, but I dunno if i want him at Herc size... and price.

No pics of Scattershot? :'(

Hi guys, what exomega posted is correct, these appeared to be part 2 designs of Starcats. What's interesting is the subsequent post by the same poster:

First he celebrates the completion of Hercules, next he talks about their upcoming not-Defensor (Starcats repaint) and Dinobots combiner. Lastly, he mentioned about a rumor that TFC is releasing Superion and possibly Menasor.

At the right places yes.. But most people are looking for the domestic online toy stores being around $80 per figure.
Thus making the foreign shops being maybe.. $50-60ish?

I honestly don't know, but work got busy, i will have to look into it later, although tbh, I need to see more of the product to even decide whether I want it x.x
Switchblade
If this really happens I'm probably going to have to go in on it. I've resisted all third party items since City Commander, but this would almost certainly break my resolve. Afterburner was always one of my favorite G1 toys and the rest of the Technobots remain a grail of mine to this day. A new version with modern engineering is something I've wanted for a long time, too. I honestly can't see how I could possibly pass this up if it really happens.

Also, if this is true then mad props to TFC for not going with one of the more overused combiners like Superion, Menasor, or Bruticus. It's great to see the less famous combiners get some love.
Grandum
gimme - same cost/size as Herc please (hey, it's only 5 this time, so 5 x $80 = $400)

this ^ ...most i'd be willing to pay for a combiner thats kinda far down my list is $50 per...more than that, meh, i don't need them that bad...
StayingInTheBox
I'd definitely be willing to shell out roughly $70 for each figure. I don't think I'd want these bots to be voyager sized like Hercules, so give me a deluxe sized figure with a price range of $60-$70 and I'm in. Mad respect to TFC though.
MegaMoonMan
Put me in the "not at $100 a pop" club. $50 a piece tops.
bithomas
I'm all for an updated Computron. I'd prefer deluxes too, with Scattershot possibly being a voyager, but I'm sure TFC will do a great job if they go forward with this project.
Star Saber
Holy crap, Computron would be awesome!

I thought Hercules was supposed to be deluxe size? Wow, I'm behind the curve there, I guess. Can tell I don't own one....
