hi there , which are the parts require gluing the chest area ?
are these resin kits ?

Yes, these are made with Urethane resin. Parts I recommend gluing are the two canon halves, and the face to the front of the helmet. However, you can most likely get away with not having to glue them. For the custom class, we didn't glue those parts.

The kits will come with the front crown pre-glued to the front helmet.

The chest piece does not require to be glued. You just unscrew Megatron's original front chest piece, and put the new Galvatron chest piece into place, and rescrew it.

Okay, A3U changed this the last time I used it -- I selected pre-order, I checked out as a guest, they sent me an email saying my pre-order was confirmed. That's it? I don't pay for anything now until it shows up? Or am I going to need to put some money down?

Last time I preordered was Awakening and I had to pay 10% upfront so I'm a little confused.

I honestly don't know. But if you got an email, I guess your order is confirmed.

The order ID is the number for your order at the store. Someone with order ID #187 could of just ordered a MP Sideswipe, or order ID #189 could be for an order for the G2 Bruticus. It is only a number to reflect your order, and to reference it.

Yea, guess I'll wait it out or fire them off an email.

The email says I should be getting an email to pay off my deposit in the next few days, which I assume is the 10%, but I don't want to wait for the email, find out there was a problem and miss out on this awesome, awesome set.

I don't know what method you guys used, but when I ordered I used paypal and was able to make the full payment. Order #178 here, and I don't think I would have been able to pay if there weren't any kits left, so no worries, especially if you got a confirmation email.

For me, I checked out as a guest and just used the payment method "Preorder."

they need more than a 100..we needed a new galvatron like yesterday, this set looks sweet, i just ordered from them last night, would have got this if i would have known earlier..

Neat, though I'd have preferred an add-on kit to turn the TFP Megatron mold into Shockwave instead.

As Venksta stated, the retail kits are going to be cast in purple and orange for their respective parts, so minimal painting is needed.

Really, the only painting you'd have to do, if I understand it right, is paint parts of the actual Megatron figure if you want to match him closer to Galvatron. He'd probably still look ok otherwise.

To be honest though, you don't need a high degree of skill to just slap some purple on Megs Just get the right type of paint and go to town. Megs actually already has a nice amount of purple on him already that you could get away with not painting him at all if you don't want to.

For all those wondering, A3U sent me an email last night that confirmed my order and that they are just awaiting stock before I have to pay.

So there is going to be a second set released, and these will be cast in purple and orange?

The kits right now for preorder are casted in purple and orange. I just updated the original post with photos of how the final kits will look like out of package, and what kinda Galvatron look you can get with minimal painting.

Can it still transform?

Of course.

However, I won't deny it doesn't improve the jet mode, that most people hate.

Can you get away by using the helmet and not the new face, if you wanted? Or will the helmet not hold in place then?

Sorry, you can't put the helmet with the old head or face. The new face is a separate piece, to help make it easier to paint. You do have to reuse the neck joint from the old head though.

Ok gotcha -- I like the new face, was just curious.

So basically you're replacing the head and chest altogether then? Just a matter of unscrewing the pieces then screwing them back in right? For the head I assume it's similar to the Goldbug head upgrades, where you just screwed it off and plopped the new one on.

Thats correct. The only difference with the head for galvatron and Goldbug kit, is that the neck joint for Megatron is inside his head. So once you unscrew it, you pull it apart, and pop out the joint. Then you put it between the Galvatron helmet pieces, and screw that together, then pop it into place.

My girlfriend is really getting into figure painting and has wanted to start customizing... this kit will be a good first step for her I think. The best part is I get an awesome Galvatron when she's done!

I'd buy this if my skills customizing were worth a darn. I think if you are willing to repaint RiD Megatron as a whole this would work great for Galvatron. Photoshop a pic of him with the grey parts purple and the existing purple silver and he is practically there already.

I am getting this for the BBTS Dark Energon Version which will limit the painting on the face, cannon, and small details on the chest.

Ah yes, Crotchatron! But I kid. With that piece removed, It actually makes me like the look of that toy more. Still, I won't be putting money down on it until I find out how those pieces affect Transformation. See, I only buy Partsforming kits if they have a place to store in alt-mode...

If only there were such a kit for Cyberverse Megs...
