Looks like he'd work great with Defender. FP should really consider doing their own line of bots. A not so obvious homage with this guy is really working for me.

Who is this not-supposed to be? I'm seeing a bunch of Grimlock design cues, but almost an equal amount of design cues that are not.

My question is this: it looks like it has a Head, Power and Targetmaster? Is that right?

From what I was told, he is an original character.

So where is the preorder on this baby? I am ready to put money down on him now... like I was at Botcon when I saw the prototype.

So, who's he suppose to be homaging?

I hope they can get over the square peg thing and start using 5mm posts so they can hold Transformers weapons -- decorating that lacklustre vehicle mode with guns might help it a bit and if it was 5mm compatible you could use Perfect effect or Hasbro stuff on it more effectively - looks like hands are 5mm but It will need some mounts for guns in vehicle mode too in my view.

I know the black is just a test version, but I would buy it in this color.

Not a headmaster IIRC. Breast master/ powermaster only. Gun probably folds up for storage in alt mode.

Fansproject has always used 5mm holes. The rectangular weapons are only used for combiners, and even those have secondary 5mm pegs.

I hope fansproject just makes all existing characters and alot of made up characters which never existed, such as dinobot combiners, new made up combiners, quintesson combiners, cool never existed optimus primes, etc. Just dish out 100s of new characters per year, to beef up the transformer/ various robots world.

i'll call him Buhawi (tornado) in my classics. The little one is Amihan (soft cool breeze). I've always wanted a Buhawi transformer. it looks good enough to be it.

I believe I shall buy this based on final colors. How tall was the proto at Botcon? Seems like this might be a voyager sized toy, or maybe between that and a deluxe.

He seems to be the around Protector's height, if not a little taller. That's makes him a solid voyager class.

Great looking mecha that transforms. Doesn't really give me the Transformers vibe honestly. Still keeping an eye on it though, he's pretty cool regardless.

Wow!!!!! That looks great!!!! I sure hope the price comes down though, I REALLY want to stop passing on these great toys cause of the price. This one looks great and I might just have to bite the bullet and get it but it will depend on how much it is.

I find it a little silly that people have yet to realize that he is a Power Master.

I like it! I really did his weapon. it looks like the WG-1-KARASAWA from the Armored Core series. And I love Me that Game! a HYUCK! (I don't know...)

Heartmaster seems to be making homage to the Breast Force as much as the Powermasters.

I can certainly see some design cues from City Commander and WW Prime in that guy, but FP pulling out a Breastmaster/Powermaster original character that looks THAT awesome in black shows they're still at the top of their game.

Unrealistic expectations are unrealistic. You want hundreds of characters to "beef up" the Transformers world? Dude, there's well over a HUNDRED characters from G1, mostly just toys, that could be revisited to keep the ability to introduce "new" characters to the franchise. "Last Stand of The Wreckers" uses this in spades, since I'm sure 99% of all the characters used in that mini-series were based off of very-lesser-known characters from the tail-end of G1. Characters such as the four new wreckers (Pyro, Ironfist, Guzzle, and Rotorstorm) who prior to the series had probably never had an official media appearance ever, or the completely reinvented Overlord, who has always been a big Decepticon player yet never got used.

Not to mention your desire also would put FP under Hasbro's Legal Division's proverbial gun because there's no way they would let FP get away with remaking the entire G1 lineup when Classics is still on the table, AND the fact FP would effectively kill themselves because they're best known for their amazing add-on kits. They're still testing the waters with fully complete figures, and they're all super-expensive as it is so most people wouldn't even be able to AFFORD all that crap. TFC ExGraver/Not-Devs being really expensive on a per-part-price basis is proof that a full set of self-produced third-party figures is not anywhere near as low as Masterpiece prices.
