New 3rd Party Ultra Magnus On The Way?

I must admit, it is the best UM I've seen produced so far. (As a figure not an upgrade kit )

I am interested and will keep tabs on this news.

Looks to be a custom built of styrene at this point. Could be just a one off, or this is how some figure get produced... very interested to see the progress though.

Not bad I would say, trailer maybe a bit stretched out, but not bad for firstish looks.

Sticking with my City Commander. I guess if you are going for the older skool look its good but I like a more modern feel.

It almost looks like it follows the Titanium Magnus transformation judging by the pictures.

I'm always interested in original Magni, and like to support th third parties, but it seems everyone is staking their claims on pieces. I'll get excited when items are imminent, and not 18 months beforehand.

I`ll be waiting for coloured pictures and size comparison with classics Magnus with armor, but this have potential.

Hm, missile launcher on the side of the trailer and robot mode is also show accurate, I love it. Hopefully the truck front bumper is painted red and it comes with the Matrix cavity as well, ehehe. Other wise, jumping Jupiter, that's one freaky hot bot should it ever be released! He shall be mine. My preference has always a white Magnus in armor suit. But for a non armor version, this latest version is best of the best I've seen. I hope it gets made.

it does a lot of things right, and there's alot to like here. But I dont it's quite good enough to to replace City Commander.

I still need me a geewun magnus, this looks like it can handle that position fine.
I wonder if its in scale with UN22 with battle tanker.

Intresting! I like the idea they have for Ultra Magnus by making him not a Prime repaint! This may be good for people who can't afford the White Prime repaint and the City Commander set!

I do like this....a "real" ultra magus...im sure it just an early test to see, the interest...i dont have CC so i will be interestedd in this.....

^seconded or thirded. After seeing this I am not too broken up about sellign my Classics UM with City Commander armor

I appreciate them taking the proper singular bot route as opposed to the typical albino Prime w/ "armor" nonsense, but it falls short. I think it's because it's SO clean & smooth - just looks like an amateur custom. If there were more molding details and some of the proportions got fixed up, it might actually look pretty decent.

All the same, I'll deal with the CC substitute for the time being and continue to wait for an official version one day... if ever.

Very nice. I love the fact that he's a single robot not a white Prime... Definitely the best toon-inspired UM I've seen. Don't quite get why people are comparing it to CC; at least this is an actual car carrier not just a box on wheels... Different kettle of fish entirely.

Anyway, I guess the next question is, will TT's Masterpiece Ultra Magnus be better, or worse? I've been looking forward to MP UM and there's no reason to think it won't be excellent... but, if they are going with an MP-10 repaint + partsforming trailer there's a chance they could drop the ball. This could be a close run competition!

+1, I don't get myself too. To me, CC is so different and alienated I can't really compare him to G1 other than as an alternated line like Classic, RID, Animated etc. Now, if they compare this to one to the early pic like CHMS UMagnus, then yeah, I can see the reason.

With the price TTomy is demanding, I expect MP UM to be exceptionally beautiful. Being the armor version, I already like their direction.

I like how there is absolutely no kibble. But it's too geewun boxy for it's own good. And I hate geewun boxy...

I never got the Magnus/Skywarp set nor the city commander upgrade. I'll be keeping an eye on this one but I know it will be expensive.

It looks decent and all, but I'll have to say pass. There has been a lot of Magnus done already between add-on kits, armor suits, and full on figs. I say we do something else.

Not bad. Maybe some ankle tilt and a bit more Generations styling.

Depending on final size and detail this can be something that may work with iGears PP line.

That being said I may just stay away from any updated figures that are not Classics-fied due to what I heard may be happening in the next few years. If that turns out to be true it may just be worth it to wait.
