3rd Party group Mech Ideas seems to be having one awesome day for new reveals! This time around we have our very first prototype images of the highly anticipated Techno Toon Titans Bluster and Trench! Animated fans can rejoice!
Thanks to preorder listings from site sponsor BigBadToyStore, this is our first look at prototypes of the project that is set to be released in June. This set has been teased at us for awhile now, but the homages of Huffer and Pipes from fan favorite series Transformers Animated seem to be in full swing!
Sound off after the jump and let us know if you’re preordering!

Bluster and Trench turned out well. Too bad the line died early it seems! I hold out remote hope it will come back…

Me too. I was looking forward to more Animated goodness. Maybe if they started off with something a little bigger and more impressive.
My dreams of an Animated style Devastator gone…

Dang
I really liked this idea!

Given that they're currently on clearance at BBTS I doubt these guys sold too well.
Whether or not it was enough to continue the line is the interesting part. It looked like MI had plans to release a Cybertronian BB mold next and I doubt that would have been enough to reignite the fire within the fandom for more Animated.

I'd be curious to hear if sales were good enough to continue to the next figure. I recently got some of my TFA stuff out of storage and fell in love all over again.
Want. More. Figures.
bigwhitey21
I would LOVE to have more Animated style figures from these guys. Their first release figures were not the best, but they had the style down pat.
I'm hoping for a bigger figure next time with a little better fit and finish.

so any news on more TECHNO TOON TITANS? i just got the complete almanac and cant wait to get some of these figures! also cenokibble said this line would be dependant on sales so were the sale good enough to get more figures out of this line?
misternewuzer
I really liked their first releases, my only gripe being they were just too small. The quality of the figures was on point, though, and they fit the aesthetic incredibly well.

I need more animated!

I recently picked up The Complete Allspark Almanac and it rekindled my interest in everything Animated. This thread has been dead for a while and the last word seemed to be that Cenokibble was out of the loop. Has there been any word on more from Mech Ideas in the Techno Toon Titans line?

I'm soooo happy, I was able to pick up the mushroom kingdom set at TFCon Chicago. They are AWESOME!!! I hope this TTT line will keep going. After talking to a bunch of people at the con, they were still looking for the original colors of Bluster and Trench.

For the people asking, I'm not sure of the price but I think it will be the same as at TFCon. I can tell you there are only about forty units of the set available at the show, and that's it for the North America / Europe allocation.
As for new figures…well, I'm sad to say I haven't done any work for MMC / Mech iDeas for a while, as a freelancer that is how it goes but it does seem like I'm off the team at the moment.
Hopefully it'll come back around, I enjoyed working with them and love the passion of all the guys involved at all levels, and I will always be a supporter of the work they do.

Whoo! Hoping I can land a pair!

YESSSS!!!!!
Where are these going to be sold? Is there a certain vendor/table? Is there a price? I need to know where to run as soon as the doors open to the vendor room.

Glad these are still available for those who may have missed out! They are a fun little set.
Ceno, can you tease whether or not we may see an announcement of any further Mech Ideas Animated figures at TFCon?
CZ Hazard
There will be a limited amount of TTT Bluster and Trench exclusives at TFCon Chicago this weekend, although I will not be on hand to sell them personally.
Hope everyone enjoys the show!
Gryph
Yeah, hopefully we finally hear about the next one. I'm hoping for a deluxe this time, and then a voyager after that. So they can get some experience in each size class.
Fort Max
Not yet but tfcons third party panel is on Saturday.

After seeing some custom dinobots, it would be cool to see MI take a stab at them at some point. Any news yet of their next project?
Stygian360
Picked up the Mario Bros repaint set of Bluster and Trench and love them! The transformation is admittedly pretty weak sauce- with minimal peg points and even those don't hold all that well- but the aesthetic is solid and the repaint aspect makes this set fun.
I will admit I'm not as psyched for a follow-up offering as I was before this first one came out, but it would be nice to see Animated Constructicons, Cyclonus, Brawn and a few other designs that never saw action figures before the fork is officially put in this line. So, let's keep this train rolling along Mech Ideas.
