Mastermind Creations KM03 Cyclops and Terminus Hexatron Videos

Posted on 05-08-2012 at 12:05 AM by ORIO under 3rd Party Unlicensed
Mastermind Creations has posted two videos to their Youtube account. The first is a 3D render of Knight Morpher 03 Cyclops and shows the transformation for the soon to be released figure. The second is of the project following Cyclops, Terminus Hexatron. Terminus Hexatron is based on G1 Sixshot and while the video doesn't show us the transformation, it does show all six of the figures modes in turn around.

Check out both videos embedded below.

Can't wait for hexetron to be released. He is probably the figure I am most looking forward to this year. Any news on a release date yet?
Gundamben831
ok I have to admit I never liked the original sixshot but this makes him look freaking amazing I hope this turns out well.
Cadbane
They had posted this long time ago on their blog.
But the vid of Cyclops rocks!
Zeitgeist
love this. sixshot is awesome.

im not aware of the size of this guy. do we know how tall he is or do we have any scale pics around? is it MP size? ultra?

im guessing its bigger than a voyager... anyone know for sure?
Hyperoptic
Yeah, that Sixshot is a must for me...
Grimmjow
That video of Shockwave transforming was just EPIC.
BScorpinok75
Is Hexatron Voyager scale?
exclusacon
What the price we looking at?
Thundershot
No JetWolf mode?
C16
If Sixshot is larger than a standard Voyager, it's a waste of time.
TJ Duckett
damn. Hexactron is looking pretty damned good.

Personally if it's smaller than an Ultra it's a waste of time.

That's where I'm at, honestly. He was pretty damned big in the show, and personally, I want him to match up with City Commander scale-wise.
CZ Hazard
He's bigger than City Commander, closer to the original Sixshot. Somewhere between Ultra and Leader Class. If he was Voyager or smaller he would look too damned skinny, Sixshot was always meant to be tall and elegant, rather than big and squat.
DJW107PRIME
I feel like he oughta be a hefty bot with him being a Phase sixer and all that. Now that I've watched Headmasters I have a whole new appreciation for this con.

After you see this thread, (Mastermind Creations Terminus Hexatron Prototype Images - Transformers News - TFW2005) you'll see it's not a waste of time at all.
NLWprime
oh dear god these things look amazing. i just hope i hape the money for them soon
Jigga
Shockwave looking good, got to play with it yesterday and you are all going to love that paint app. Has a nice shine to it and good weight to the figure.
TCJJ
Ah, damn it, thanks Mastermind. Now I have to buy both. I was trying to resist Cyclops, and trying to completely forget about Hexatron, but now I have to go pre-order them. You'll be hearing from my wallet's lawyer later. Oh wait, it won't have any money left for that...
Primal Sabbath
I wish Hexatron could have been closer to voyager, but oh well, there's still a place on my shelf for him regardless. Can't wait for Cyclopse & Airscreech!
lee9
With all the good stuff coming out, if Hexatron is truly $100, and it's just G1 with added articulation, I'll probably pass. Never thought I'd say that.
Victorysabre
Y'know it's gonna be a good day when you open TFW and see Mastermind news right off the bat. Love their work.
Trailbreaker77
The only character that was released in '87 that I'm interested in, I loved my G1 Sixshot.
bcm77
After a pitiful Botcon showing from Hasbro a 3rd party once again comes up with something that'll be worth spending money on.

Subject to the QC being good I will buy both.
vm-01
Why do you want sixshot to be so tall?

The toy was tall and his Dreamwave vehicle mode was big. But in the cartoon he was always about Ultra Magnus height.

Even Greatshot kept that height as well. But Sixknight was shown to be smaller.
Thundershot
No way this thing is going to be $100... Probably more like $150.
Robogeek28
Really wish I could afford these guys!
SPLIT LIP
Oh God I need both, especially Cyclops.
knightmare6
I want my Cyclops already! It's May now! :'(
Metal Chaos
These third party companies are gonna have me selling a kidney before year's end. Hexatron is just amazingly epic, he's a must have along with Green Giant. I'll do my best to get both of them.
ahro23
I've been saying for months that Hexatron was going to be amazing. Can't wait
crewboy7
Cyclops looks great and already pre-ordered

Hexatron on the other hand.... I WANT to like him... but to me all his modes just look like an incoherent jumble of purple, white and green plastic.
StayingInTheBox
That Cyclops render got me all pumped up. Hexatron looks bad ass too. I really hope I can afford all of these figures.
Trikeboy

why why why why why why did they have to post this?

I am saving cash for a vacation right now and I want both of these. I was prepared to pass on Cyclops but that transformation is simply awesome. I wonder if Hexatron has the wingwolf mode too.
General Tekno
Any word on when in May Cyclops is due out?

Late May.

I never noticed before that MMC used the drift swords on Hexatron. I wish the wings were more wing shaped and less pistol grip shaped.

There's no reason for him to be such a huge toy. He's not a large character, he's a powerful character. The two aren't exclusive. Being huge makes him stick out instead of fitting well with other figures.

I've seen pictures of the figure before. It's definitely cool, but seeing it next to the Insecticons has cemented my decision to definitely pass. It's unreasonably huge, which is a shame because I really want a Classics Sixshot, and I was going to buy all three versions of this figure.

I hope some other company with better scale sensibilities takes a crack at him.
Trans4mers
Got to play with Cyclops again this weekend. Can't wait to get this in hand! Screecher was pretty cool too. Its between the Deluxe and Voyager size.

Yeah, but looking at his head size, it doesn't feel all that out of scale. Head appears to be sized like a Deluxe/Voyager head, which implies that he's just a massively armored character.

Agree.
If we look at Sixshot's size in IDW spotlight, he must be that big. He is an one man army, I will be disappointed if he is not big. I think G1 toy is even bigger, MC just does Sixshot justice. He will fit in my classics collection.

Except when he is.

Not that the fiction's all that consistent in those regards.
G1Jetfire
Cyclops looks all purple in that video. He's shiny and dark, which is better than the two tone grey and purple. A purple Shock and a grey Shack repaint would be sweet. I have been waiting since the first reveal for Cyclops.

Hexatron's size means he may be nearly as expensive as Cyclops. Hopefully he will be affordable once preorders show up. He remains on the top of the want list.
bcm77
I think the larger scale is one of the major appeals of Hexatron and Cyclops.

Hasbro barely do anything but Deluxes of an increasingly small scale these days so once again a 3rd party group has stepped up and are about to deliver a couple of characters at a scale that does them justice.

I'd also like to see MMC or another group make a decent sized Thunderwing, Black Shadow and Overlord as their recent official releases were all pathetic.

From the production piece they gave me to display at the Third Party, his color is indeed a very deep, rich metallic purple. The lighter "topside" parts of the ship are grey (for the dark accent bits), and what I would describe best as a silver with a hint of purple in it.

Was it different from the color scheme of the robot mode on your site (Captured Prey)? The silver-purple from the top of the hull to the top of the ship is less appealing than a mostly to completely metallic / reflective purple.
CodeXCDM
...ugh... just realized that these two figures won't be mine any time soon... considering that combined it'll be around 350$... *cries*

Also... why do I keep envisioning him with a Tidal Wave head instead? *smh*
