After you see this thread, (Mastermind Creations Terminus Hexatron Prototype Images - Transformers News - TFW2005) you'll see it's not a waste of time at all.
There's no reason for him to be such a huge toy. He's not a large character, he's a powerful character. The two aren't exclusive. Being huge makes him stick out instead of fitting well with other figures. I've seen pictures of the figure before. It's definitely cool, but seeing it next to the Insecticons has cemented my decision to definitely pass. It's unreasonably huge, which is a shame because I really want a Classics Sixshot, and I was going to buy all three versions of this figure. I hope some other company with better scale sensibilities takes a crack at him.
Yeah, but looking at his head size, it doesn't feel all that out of scale. Head appears to be sized like a Deluxe/Voyager head, which implies that he's just a massively armored character.
From the production piece they gave me to display at the Third Party, his color is indeed a very deep, rich metallic purple. The lighter "topside" parts of the ship are grey (for the dark accent bits), and what I would describe best as a silver with a hint of purple in it.
