Got the replacement parts today from TFSource. I am 98% happy now! Putting the replacement wing on was a lot easier than I thought it would be.

I just my replacement parts in as well, not sure how to put them on without breaking them…
ThatGuyCalledBlaster
Just got in touch with TFSource, got $100 in store credit instead of these Insecticons. Great bunch, I tell ya.
Guess, idk, i'll get a goddamn Springer or whatever, haha.
Dah Padre
Just wondering how to put on the replacement wings when they arrive. Wonder if heating them up will help?
Kup98ss
I got luck. Mine are all good. I put toyhax stickers on them this weekend and now they look much better. The plastic is very brittle but for the price, I'm all in.

Got this as a Christmas gift from my wife… broken right out the box… contacted TFSOURCE. They’re looking into a solution

I heard back from TFSource today and they are sending me replacement parts. I fear putting the replacement wing on kick back will be just plain trouble. The painted plastic used is very rigid/brittle. There is no give without it breaking. I should have just asked for a total replacement figure. It’s true I am disappointed, but they do have great shelf presence, and I am not paying $2/300 per ft bug.

For the price, they're an okay placeholder, until TT or another 3rd party takes a shot at MP Insecticons. View attachment 28895761
The only main issue I really had with them is the Bombshell figure. The purple panel that sits behind one of the legs fell off as the screw threads would not catch the corresponding part inside the leg. I received a replacement but still running into the same issue. I might try to use the floor polish method so the threads will catch.
Minor issue with Kickback not being able to hold his gun.
It's a shame collectors are running into issues with these figures as a little more QC control would have gone a long way.
I wish there were other options at this point, but Fanstoys bugs are expensive, and I'm still on the fence with the Badcube versions.
These will have to do for now.

Fair point, I may have jumped the gun just out of a fear of being gridlocked with these three. Guess I should while my Stack's still a way's away from shipping. Hopefully things end up going well in this case.
Treadshot 2.0
Email them. I've done it before. They can make exceptions, especially when the item has a known manufacturing defect.

Good lord, now i'm contemplating cancelling my order with TFSource since it seems the REPLACEMENT PARTS are also breaking. A never-ending cycle, it seems…
Ok yeah i'm fucked. TFS doesn't allow in-stock cancellations.
So either I open these bastards up and pray for the best or I just return them on arrival.

Damn that sucks, you too huh? This set is kind of trash, the plastic is on the fragile side of things and the articulation in the legs suck. I see why they're selling them for $100 because they were out of their mind trying to sell it for the original price they were. One of the wings on my Kickback was broken out the box also. Took almost 3 months to get a replacement from TFsource. Got my replacement wing yesterday and the stupid shit broke while trying to put it on SMH. I realized the best possible way to put it on is to untab the back and pull away his arms so you have access to that part that the wing needs to clip onto but without it being told how would one know if you're not transforming them?
I managed to glue it back together but it's not the best fix. Also, I really dont understand why they didnt add some type of heel spur to his feet because he likes to lean back alot and his legs aren't very sturdy so eventually he's going to fall back and possibly break that glued wing. The other 2 guys can barely get a thigh swivel let alone kick the leg up so possability isn't that great IMO…Totally unacceptable, I love MMC but WTF is this? For what it's worth I like their shelf prescience compared to Badcubes, those my least favorite. Fan toys look good but I'm not paying those ridiculous prices so $100 for all 3 was worth it in my opinion but had they actually put some love into this set and made them a bit better especially with the quality of the plastic used I wouldn't have mind paying a little more from them. If I cant get another replacement wing for Kickback I might just sell them.

That sucks. Whatever you do I hope it works out!

I’ve been going back and forth on this set for months. Seeing the $100 price was a hell of a temptation, but I kept passing. Finally gave in and got them as a Christmas gift and of course the price went up $20…… anyhow bombshells right knee crumbled and kickbacks left wing broke right out of the box. It’s sad cause I like their presence with my other MP’s. Since it was a gift that I convinced my wife to buy, I don’t want to just get the money back, I want a replacement set. I’m thinking if they send replacement parts it would be just as fragile. Plus from the looks I don’t know how to attach kickbacks wing without breaking it. So that wouldn’t serve well at all. I’m thinking of just ponying up and getting the FT insecticons, I just don’t want to afford them…. oh well! Merry Christmas
Mykltron
I did. They requested replacement parts and will ship them to me when they arrive. The good news is that Kickback's gun handle and Bombshell's knee have held just fine with superglue.
ThatGuyCalledBlaster
Quick question, did you happen to get your MMC set from TFSource? Asking since I ordered a set a couple weeks ago, haven't shipped them out yet but i'm not sure if I should expect the horrid QC or not.
Scourgatron
Yeah, I have the first run, and they are excellent. Sucks that the new one is junk.
Scowly Prowl
That is unfortunate to hear of these new problems. If they changed the plastic, this could explain the QC issues. My set from a couple of years ago is holding up great. A bit basic without the stickers, but dead easy to pose and transform.
Lord Mechatron
Same happened to me. I got this set delivered this week and soon as I transformed Kickback one of his wings broke. Seeing if I can get a replacement piece for it. For the price, I wasn't expecting top notching quality but knowing the work MMC puts into their figures this was a disappointment. All in all, they still do what I need them to do and look the part of. I just wish they used better plastic. Going to get some Toyhax stickers for them just to liven them up a bit
Mykltron
They're not G1 enough for my collection. The FP set works for filling out the ranks so long as they're hidden at the back. The PX are just too different in style for me.
