Mastermind Creations has updated their Facebook page with some pictures from the Emerald City Comic-con held in Seattle this past weekend. On hand was a test shot for Mastermind’s next release in their reformatted line, Anarchus. Anarchus is a homage to Kaon from IDW’s hit comic series, More Than Meets the Eye. In the comic, this character is one the members of the Decepticon Justice Division and dishes out his own form of justice by transforming into an electric chair. This will be the second DJD member from Mastermind Creations. Their first release, Cynicus (based on DJD member Vos) is due for release shortly pending some packaging delays.
Check out the new test shot images by clicking the title bar.

mx-01 archon
It bothers me that the chair isn't centred in the room, though…

Okay, I don't even CARE that you didn't put a figure in that. O_O This is just awesome.

Figmas:
Mikuru Asahina – the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (easily the best)
Hidamari Sketch x Honeycomb Hiro
LoveLive – Honoka Kosaka
Uzuki Shimamura – The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls Project
Ui Hirasawa – K-On
A few of the Puella Magi Madoka Magica figures would work pretty well too, but the scared faces come with the magical girl costumes, which probably wouldn't fit as well as the school outfit versions.
The Star Wars Black Battle Droid has a certain charm as well.

Honestly, I'm less interested in what figures FIT than in ways folks have mangled Kaon in order to MAKE them fit! Has anyone found any clever new ways to transform him so as to accommodate certain figures, or even just to give the chair mode a different look? I'd love to see someone manage to configure him as a torture TABLE, for instance!

Any 5-6 inch figma-like toy with sufficient leg joints and no big backpack parts or in the case of anime girl figures; long hair should be able to sit in him just fine. I haven't had any trouble getting any figures seated decently in him unless they specifically had trouble sitting against his flat surface like they would any toy sized chair really.

Honestly, with enough time and patience (plus a touch of creativity), just about ANY figure within a very wide size-range can be made to fit. I once got a "My Little Pony" strapped into this guy on a DARE! ( ; Basically, as long as the backpack isn't impossibly huge, and the figure is not too big, you can usually mangle things into a shape that fits. For instance, if a figure is too short, you can fold the footrests up and backward, turning them into a sort of vice to pin down ankles. The armrests can be folded in to reach a figure with shorter arms, or folded away entirely so you can rely fully on the articulated "legs" to pin said arms. You can use lengths of jewelry chain or rubber-bands to lock a character in if their proportions don't work with the built-in locks. Heck, he's so versatile, you can find ways to TURN THE WHOLE THING UPSIDE DOWN, using the foot-rest as a head restraint and the arm bits as leg restraints! Honestly, if you use a bit of imagination and creativity, it opens up a pretty massive world of possibilities. Don't feel limited by the default set-up. Get creative. He's remarkably versatile if you're willing to break from the norm!

He even works with figures that can't sit.

some pics i took today. So far the thinner the deluxe and if they have minimal or no backpack, they seem to work

I actually haven’t tried any transformers yet
But revoltech skeleton warrior and Batman Animated Joker fit lovely…

I’m thinking my revoltech Deadpool will be a good fit too

Sorry to necro this, but I didn't want to start a new thread.
What figures have you found are able to fit in Kaon's chairmode successfully?
I just got Kaon and started to take pics, so I haven't experimented THAT much, but so far I've found that RiD2.0 Bumblebee is a good fit
Rakzo
And this one just arrived.

I have been looking for MMC Anarchus for a while after starting my DJD collection and look-wise he doesn't disappoint. He's the perfect interpretation of one of the most murderous members of the team from the dead black eyes and colour scheme, even the proportions are spot-on. The accesories are pretty solid and much more valuable than the ones that come with either Cynicus or Kultur, I'm especially a fan of the claws that can turn into either a shield or a little spider. The alt-modes are wonderful as well, I especially love how they managed to pull-off the chair mode and make it look convincing by itself while the scorpion is a pretty decent extra that gets the job done.
That's where the positives end though since this figure has issues as well. Some of the joints are too stiff while the connections in robot mode are not secure enough (particularly the ones in the torso) which makes this pretty difficult to pose since it can get disassembled pretty easily. Speaking of poses, the articulation is not so good, especially the leg rotation, the perfect form of articulation for the legs are either thigh swivels or at least swivels just above the knees, if you're going to add them below the knees then you might as well don't bother with it since they're pretty much useless, they don't contribute to anything and make Anarchus look awkward. Not to mention that while I love the accesories, he can't hold them too well, particularly the claws which don't stay in place at all and just need a little push to fall off.

He does look good along with his teammates though and I guess that makes him a worthy purchase. He suffers from many of the same problems of Cynicus though since he's better as a display piece than as an actual action figure or toy. So far, Kultur remains the best but while Anarchus has problems, at least he's a little more solid than Cynicus as a whole.

The only issue I have is he does not hold his gun very well. I believe this is a very common issue to a lot of people.

He kinda looks like with some heavy retooling he could feasibly make a decent Rung. Yes, I get that idea from the head, but also the lanky proportions and center circle look rung-ish. Different shoulders, remove the clamps and headbrace, and change out the tread-shins for smoother, rung-ish shins that can make little feet, and boom, its a therapy chair! plus, I doubt its that difficult to fan-mode a Photonic Crystal Synthesizer, AKA a long-ish stick. Just a thought, prob a common one too.

I've had mine for about a year now. FANTASTIC figure. TONS of personality (more than the book version…). High quality plastic. No parts are placed in easily-stressed positions. All the parts tolerances are clear. Rock solid in robot mode. You wouldn't even know this was made by the same company that made Vos/Cynicus.
Electric-chair mode is…not "rock" solid, per se…but for a reason. The (book-accurate!) transformation is basically him doing a squat as the electric chair kibble unfolds from his back. Not much tabs in or locks in place because it's intended to be an adjustable chair. Need some height on the chair to torture a larger figure? Raise that chair up! Need a flatter sitting surface? Recline that chair!

I'm still not sure whether to buy this guy or not. Any issues worth noting? I don't hamhand BTW.
