Knight Morpher Cyclops Released And New Pics

Pre-ordered mine a few days ago
I hope he's released soon! I can't wait! He's my first 3rd party product.

While I'm not interested in this figure on account of... not having the money for a figure I can't really fit anywhere in my collection...

But I've seen the pictures. Wow. This thing looks FANTASTIC.

After reading about some of the QC issues with Knight Morpher I've decided to wait until some in hand reports are in before pulling the trigger.

If it's good I'll likely get the Seekers as well and maybe go back and take a chance with Prime as I really like the Hearts of Steel designs....anyone know if MMC are planning to make Bumblebee or Megatron?

My assistant asked them about Bumblebee at the Third Party at BotCon, and was told it was not out of the question, though it doesn't seem to be in development right now. It will depend on this and Air Screech doing well, no doubt.

From what I've seen Cyclops looks like a kickass figure, but I'm holding onto my cash until I see some video reviews on him.

I agree. I have Annihilator and it is pretty good but I'm worried how the plastic will do when the bot is that large. If it is a big floppy mess, I'll pass on it. Gonna wait for reviews though before I jump on this one.

I'd love to see a bumblebee, hell, I'd pretty much buy any of the HoS figures that are released, pending Cyclops being impressive.

Got to watch this get transformed from robot mode to boat mode at Botcon, got some good vibes about the strength of its thinner panels. Dude who was transforming it kind of went at locking those together with a bit of strength, and they didn't shred apart. Hopefully that's indicative of a decent durability for its intricate assembly.

I'm really hoping this arrives after next Thursday, because that's when I get paid next! I am very curious to see if any reviews come out right before or coinciding with its release to online retailers, though I remember what Vangelus said on the podcast and that increased my hope that the QC on this will be fine.

This thing is due out in May correct? Any word for our e-retailer representatives of shipments?

Honestly, I'm not big on "Must have this kind of transformation for me to enjoy!" shit, but I think the transformation on THAT video sold me. The sequence just wreaks of the big, massive, ship that he is.

Yup, ETA's been given as May but no further specifics regarding when (early, mid or late May). Unless MMC says something about shipments heading out, it may just pop up one day at Robot Kingdom or something.

"Must buy" list.

Wow this is epic. Seemingly MC's promotion has started. Hope BBTS can ship out my order soon.

Had the designers walk me through transforming the final production piece that we had on display at BotCon, and it was awesome. There are a couple things you need to pay attention to and not force if they won't go, but that is the fact for pretty much any transforming toy out there, so that's hardly a point against it. I was very, very impressed and I cannot wait to get it in stock so I can snag mine from the shipment.

I don't collect the HoS line.

I don't really have a place for this in my collection. Considering his size and price, he should be with the MP's and Alts, but doesn't fit in with this.


And still...I'm seriously considering this. He just looks so good. The shipmode is impressive and beautifully unique. An interesting transformation. And the robotmode looks powerful and very Shockwave. And I seriously lack a good Shockwave.

I haven't decided yet, but if the reviews are favorable (no weak spots, QC issues and stuff), then.......I'll probably give in and get him.

yeah, I didn't want any part of the HoS line, but between this and the seekers and even the scratch customs I've seen of Megatron, I'm afraid I'm getting pulled in.

I don't think so. The prototype shown by the Captured Prey guy at Botcon seemed finished, so I think it's just a matter of a few weeks.

It was finished, that was no prototype, it was a production copy.

This beast needs to be in hand right meow. My wallet is crying though, Cyclopes-Hegemon- and Jolly Green Giant are coming out almost back to back assuming none are delayed.

Any updated estimate for shipping date?

Robotkingdom had it initially listed as available in may, but changed it to june, so there might be a small delay

I really do like the design of this, and the other Hearts of Steel figures (like the Seekers, Optimus Prime, and Nemesis Prime), but if I get one I'll have to get the others (Maybe not Annihilator though...), but I still may get them... The Seekers especially catch my eye (Especially Thundercracker), and this Shockwave looks just amazing! I may just get Cyclops and see then if I'll keep him and get the others, or if I'll sell him... (I'll probably end up collecting them all! )

Mastermind Creations said the delay is to make sure there are no QC issues...they're working out any bugs that are left.

I can wait as long as it takes. I want them to impress us.

I just got a reply from asking if there were any updates. Apparently there was a small issue which is taking some time to fix, so the release has been pushed back to the end of June.

Anybody know if there's going to be any more Hearts of Steel inspired figures from Mastermind?Id really like to see a Bumblebee and a Ratchet, especially if Ratchet could connect to the back of Optimus Prime, and if Bumblebee had the same connection link.

Id like them to finish the designs we've seen in the comics then start HOSing new characters to create massive trains. Also, I hope they make a new trailer for Ultra Magnus, perhaps a boom and tender car.

As I noted previously, one of my helpers asked about Bumblebee during the Third Party, and was told that it would depend on how things go with Cyclops and Starscream. So, he is possible, but not a guaranteed thing.

There will be an Ultra Magnus. It's a collaborative project with Encline Designs.

Ive seen a pic of a painted um prototype with some kind of add ons. It looked very WIP and not very good. The mold just doesn't seem to take add on parts very well.

can you find and post the pic or at least a link?

It was a very early WIP. I'm sure we'll see some more finalized stuff soon.

I thought Renderform was working on it too.

And is it still being worked on Venksta?

Yup, last I talked to Encline, he was going to have more progress on it for show at BayFormers in August.

isn't this supposed to have come out already?? I'm waiting for it so I can ship my loot already.

It got delayed until the end of this month.

BBTS now is showing this arriving early July. Looks like it got delayed again.

Could still be end of June, BBTS more than likely loses at least a week just to import it.
