The Facebook page of Transformers Galaxy-Hong Kong Fans Group has upated their website once again with a look at new upcoming goodies. This time, it’s the Beezleboss Growing Pains Upgrade Kit. This upgrade kit will take your plain old gold United Bumblebee and turn him into the Generation 1 characters evolved version; Goldbug.
We’ve mirrored the images here, so take a look at those by clicking the title bar or the link above. Then head over to our 3rd Party Discussion forum to discuss this and all things 3rd party!

Goldbug's head looks more like the Growing Paints kit than Venksta's. Goldbug has a soft, round head like this one. Venksta's is sharp and pointy.

I like this kit, but not as Goldbug. I'm using Venksta's for GB and this for my upcoming classics Glyph.

My United 'bee had the neck glued on, so you may have actually saved yourself some trouble.

I finally was able to score a United Bee and then I grabbed this set. I didn't realize you were "supposed" to unscrew the post and then put the new head on. I was used to the Kup heads and such so I just unscrewed the head and put it on the original ball joint. It seems fine to me. The head seemed loose on the peg that was included. The head looks great and I really like the dual pistols.

Got mine today. Love it!!

Got my United Bee + Growing Pains kit from Chimungmung today. $30 is a bit steep but it does look damn good – It's now my favourite version of the mold. Good work Beelzeboss.
Now give me some Throttlebots….

Full figures eh? Just wondering if a single head and pistols is going to cost 30 bucks from them, how much is a full figure going to cost? This is still way overprice in my opinion. 50 bucks gets you a full figure from Fansproject (Not Insecticons) and that is only 20 bucks more on the 30. I admit I paid for the Venksta 30 dollar set too, but I justified that because it was hand made garage kit and not production factory run stuff. Great looking head nonetheless.

United.

I understood what you meant…thanks for the clairification though. Which version of classics 'Bee do you have?
process
Yeah, it works either way so long as the neck/ball joint isn't solidly glued the way mine was. I was talking about the screw that keeps their heads together, not the screw that connects the neck/ball joint to the body. Sorry about the confusion.
GrimlockAutobot
Ok thanks Foster!!
Foster
There's no reason you can't do either, unless you want to avoid stress to the ball joint. I saw the new neck balljoint piece in the package so I used it. The original piece wasn't glued in well on mine.
GrimlockAutobot
OK now I'm confused…do you unscrew the panel and take off the head balljoint and all like Fosterlager said or do you just pop the stock head off the existing balljoint and pop the new head back on?
I just practiced what Fosterlager was saying on my RTS 'Bee and it was kind of a pain in the ass to get on and off. The screw came out but, the panel was still glued in and took some force to pop out.
It seems like this set would be much easier to deal with if assembly is what process is saying where you ust pop the stock head off the existing balljoint and pop the new one back onto the same balljoint.
process
It's rumored Beelzeboss will be making complete figures.
As for the heads, you can just pop 'em off. The stock head only unscrews to disassemble, not to take off the ball joint.
Foster
You unscrew the panel with the ball joint and remove it from the rest of the black neck panel entirely. The Bumblebee head remains on its original ball joint piece and is set aside.
GrimlockAutobot
What figures are these heads going to be compatible with?
Also with the Growing Pains/Goldbug Kit, does anyone know if you have to unscrew the old head and the new one to get 'em off? or do they just pop on and off?
GrimlockAutobot
"Growing Pains" is cliche for the trials and tribulations that a child/adolescent goes through when they mature into an adult…and is a metaphor for Bumblebee's maturation/transformation into Goldbug.
megatroptimus
But it's just Goldbug you know… Would be like calling a Wheelie ripoff "Ultimate Killing Machine".
exomega255
because he is the one delivering the pain?
megatroptimus
Why does that name (Growing Pains) sounds like some pretty nasty ass-related disease?
